Although there are many non-busty types who refer to themselves as being voluptuous, who are simply overweight. "Big girls", with no significant boob size, are most unfortunate. | |

curvy ( nicely shaped breasts and butt ). Perhaps somewhat overweight. But not obese.
I agree. It's the large and still somewhat firm curves in the right places and still keeping the "dimensions". There are obese (aka 'fat') women who yes, have big boobs and a big ass... and think "Oh, it's best put that I'm voluptuous!" Ehhh, no. Being large + having SOME shape doesn't = voluptuous. Merely keeping some shape to the body doesn't allow one to play the "V" card as the adjective. | |

to ME (and I think most guys)
Voluptuous = 20-40lbs over ideal weight, between 5'2" and 5'8".
to a lot of women (especially the fat ones)
Voluptuous = 60-120 lbs over ideal weight.
(eg. 5'2" and 160-180 lbs, or 5'8 and 240-260 lbs)
Seriously...60+ lbs over idea weight (and BMI is a bit goofy and in a lot of cases unrealistic)
is a LOT OF WEIGHT - that's like a 6ft guy weighing 300 lbs and being "curvy".
no, he's fat. he doesn't fit in a standard restaurant or waiting room chair.
if your hips are seriously pushing against side arms of a chair,
man or woman,
you are either fat or pregnant. not Voluptuous or curvy. a bowling ball is not curvy - it's a ROUND ball.
