Is there REALLY someone out there for everyone?
Posted: 4/14/2009 11:20:46 PM
YES.
But it depends on how hard you look or how far you will go. I am about to embark on such a quest. She's not even in this country, but I will go to her because we connect in ways I haven't with girls nearby.
We only have a few chances at this happiness so why not go all out?
Back then, people settled for who was in their town. Today, especially as an American, dude you can go to almost any country you wish and live there and find your girl.
You can start by crossing into Canada, our nearest friendly neighbor. Just a drive away.
(Mexico might get you shot or kidnapped)
My social circle here have partners from all over the place -- Jordan, Philippines, Mexico, Thailand, Belgium, Vietnam...
She's out there. It will be a shame if you can't find her given all the modes of travel God has given us.

The laws of attraction are a powerful thing, you should do some reading about it. Apply it to all areas of your life and be amazed at the outcome. Layman's terms: you get back what you project. I even coach my 11 year old son in this!

I used to host self esteem workshops at a women's resource centre and you come across as very low in self esteem. When a woman reads that a guy thinks of himself as a bottom dweller....well... do I really have to explain it? Trying to appeal via sympathetics is never a good outcome.

Find in you that spark that self motivates and good things will come your way.
Cheers!

Nope, there isn't.

Some people are just meant to live their life alone--without a special someone who will be their forever. Forever? That's lost it's definition, too. "Love" "Marriage" and "Forever" are nothing like they were back in my grandparents' days.

Billabongdude06 - Really? cause throwing your best smile out there and just waiting for someone to notice it and do something about it is just so awesome. Which would you prefer, being the fish or being the shiny lure?

I know there is no one out there for me. I'm too wierd.
Players who cheat on me is all I end up with and they always decide that I'm crazy.
Yeh, crazy for trying to love them!

One thing I know only the woman decides who she will date - not the man.

The man can ask but the woman can refuse.

The man can refuse if the woman asks him - the reason most of the time is - men think they aren't your perfect match - someone better is out there than them.

My advice for any woman is to pick 5 men you are interrested in - either on the website or in public or work and ask them out - 2 out of the 5 won't refuse. But don't put all your eggs in 1 basket and bet the bank on one man.

Not every guy is a player or a cheater. I'm 48 years old and every woman in my age range has been married/divorced at least once, has had bopyfriends who were abusive, cheaters, or control freaks. I am NONE of the aforementioned but I can't even get to first base with anyone. I'm not looking for a perfect "10" by any means. I have no problem with kids or a woman having a few extra pounds. I do however, have a problem with being misjudged or condemned due to the actions of the jerks in this world.

See this is why you are single my friend - all women are 10's especially if you are in a relationship - you better work on that one - but it's too late now for any woman on this thread they already saw it.

Well, as above you placed yourself in to the jerk group.

It works like this - Women out number Men.
All women are in a committed relationship.
30% of men are in no relationship whatsoever.

Think about that one - You will not like the answer.

I'm starting to feel this.! =(

*Sigh* .... Slowly starting to come to terms with the fact that not everyone will find someone .... and perhaps we just have to deal with it. ... Call me cynical but I am starting to feel this is my reality slowly seeping in ...

I think there are SEVERAL "ones" for us. But they may not be the "type" we have in our mind's eye, as far as physicality-!

There is not "One" person for everyone, just like there is no such thing as a "soul mate".

Relationships are hard work and people must constantly adapt and compromise if they are going to have a long term relationship.

Find someone you like, have fun with, are compatible with emotionally, intellectually and physically. Then go slow and see where it goes. Then if you both decide you want long term, be prepared to work very hard getting there.

Thinking there is a "One" or a "soul mate" just delays getting your head in the real world and opening yourself to the possibilities that others have to offer.

Well if you ain't A REAL MAN they won't want you.

As per the UD A Real Man:

A true man can best be described as rugged and that does not have any fears. A man has a good deal amount of knowledge about tools, cars, the outodoors, knows how to act around women by being a gentlemen, but is not always serious and can have fun with them. Men financially provide for others and themselves and are overall responsible. Men are clean, well groomed, and can have a very short beard to portray that image of ruggedness. True men do not think about themselves. They do not always think about sex. They stand up for what they believe, take responsibility for their actions, help others, they are self confident, physically stong and in shape, have a sense of humor, generous, honest, and are considerate. They provide a sense of security. Men are brave and do not need to show off for their friends nor do their sway their opinions because of their friends. Now even if you are biologically a man, this does not mean you fit my definition of all the components of what a real man is.

As per this definition JC wouldn't fit either.

If there is then I think that they are dead.

I think he died. I cant find him. I have tried. God knows
I have tried.
Even my family has resorted to telling me that its okay to be alone.

How pathetic is that - No. Im convinced he is dead.

I give up. Im tired. I think I will just chain smoke, fuel myself on
good coffee and cook and bake myself to death.
