maybe it's not the fact that women don't like long hair. maybe it's the fact that you have long hair and the women you go after just don't happen to like you...? | |

And many, many replies later, I have seen borne out what I already thought about long hair on a man: most chicks just don't dig it. The few chicks who do, tend to be too old or too young for me.
OP if you are still around, it's JUST HAIR. Cut it and you will find out for yourself what I and others here have been trying to tell you. A buddy at work SHAVED OFF his below-shoulder length hair three days ago and he has already noticed the way women look at him differently...and he's 26.
Since I cut mine, I found that a hell of a lot more women take me seriously. Of course there is a lot more to meeting and relating to women than just hair, but cutting it means one less thing to have working against you.
Tell yourself you can always grow it back out later, if you need help taking the plunge. But once you cut it, you'll see what I mean about being SET FREE and never want it long again. | |

I had kept it long for my now ex wife (she likes long hair). It began to feel like an obligation and annoyance to me. When she and I broke up, I had it all cut off. I've received numerous compliments from women I work with, and have begun to attract more (and younger) women as I've begun dating again. I agree....I feel like I never want it long again. Long hair definitely holds you back, as it greatly limits the number of women who would be interested. | |

Unless you are stuck in the eighties, and if you like that then you'll have to accept that most woman just aren't into that anymore.. Does this help you?

Posted: 5/7/2009 10:51:19 AM | Nothing's wrong per se. But just like anyone else with longer hair, it takes more maintenance and I'd expect him to keep it clean and healthy. Besides I tend to find these folks are usually more open, expressive, and possibly more creative or artistic.
I'd rather be with a guy with an abundant head of hair than a mirror on top any day! | |

Posted: 5/7/2009 11:06:36 AM | One of my favourite metal singers has hair that literally brushes the ground. He maintains it beautifully and I've never seen him without a hottie on his arm.
I adore long hair on men, the longer the better. My scalp is just one big erogenous zone. The way I figure it, if I like having my hair played with, then turnaround is fair play.
But long, greasy, matted hair is a complete turnoff. If you aren't going to look after it, shave it off.
And some men look better by far with no hair at all. Look at Vin Diesel and Billy Zane. Although Billy looks great either way. | |

- he's tall, slim and has chiseled features
- his hair is kept clean & neat
- one length: no mullets!
- not bald on top.

If you've got style, you can make the long hair work ... just like guys such as Lorenzo Lamas, Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers front man), or Sam Eliot. If you don't have personal style and confidence, you'll come across as goofy and awkward no matter how long your hair is.
Before you cut it off, try updating your look first. The same length hair that may not be working now, might suddenly be seen in a new light. | |

OP it isn't just you, all men look like a "tool" with short hair. I would find it very difficult to become involved with a man that had short hair. | |
