I haven't lived with a man in over 10 years but from what I can remember, when the seat is up and you sit on the porcelain, it's freakin cold!! That was my main complaint about that.
But yeah, I fall in too.

I always put the seat down. But one thing that I don't understand is.

If you have your pants down and you are going to sit down don't you look before you are going to sit?

In my opinion. Men and women are very very different. It is amazing that we actually get along. Which of course we don't always get along.

There is a concept out there authored by C.G.Jung. This is my under-educated Coles Notes of the concept.

His theory is that all men and women have a Masculine and a Feminine side. With men their Masculine side is more predominant and with women their Feminine side is more predominant. He also said that each person needs a proper balance of Masculine and Feminine.

I think it is an interesting concept. So if men could become a little more aware of their Feminine side and women to their Masculine side then we would all get along better.

When I talk about this concept with a woman while on a coffee date and I say I am looking to become more aware of my Feminine side she usually gets a worried look on her face. hehe

No, not really. I believe the general complaint is when it happens during the middle of the night in the dark, when we're half asleep.

Desiree..... good thing you have boys........teenage girls tend to be even worse...at least when it comes to their bedrooms. When my teenage daughter packed her Glad Garbage bags and moved out it took approximatly 20 man hrs to clean the mess she left behind.......probably could have saved a few hrs if I painted instead of cleaning but still.....When you add in all the spilled hair dye....makep ruined towels...nail polish on mirrors and furniture......she has been 5 times the mess as her brother ever was......

I'm still waiting for the UN (United Nations) to finally make a ruling on that all important "Leaving the toilet seat up" issue.

How about leaving the seat AND the lid down so the cats don't get in there and leave little paw prints all over everything?

Asking a LOT I know!!! LMAO

hmmmmm ....

personally , i think it has nothing to do with the opposite of sexes at all . more so to do with people in general , and their experiences they have encountered . the more one encounters , the more reserved they get . because the WORLD for the most part depicts how we should act and react . people have gotten to far away from being individuals , makin choices based on their beleifs and what they think others will think of the choices they make . get back to what makes yah smile and happy , and worry less about what the world thinks and everyone will be alot better off ... anyone who knows me , knows i have no issuse expressin my thought and or opinions , feelings are no different ,all inwhich derives from passion of living a happy life and stayin true to myself ,morals , values and ethics ..... cause once you love yourself and are happy then and only then can you include someone else in your life , and offer them that also . cause if you're not , how do you offer something to someone else you have no idea what it is ? make any sense ?

so all in all i think it's men and women vrs the WORLD ....

Back to this toilet seat thing, you know , someone oughta invent a pedal that you step on that raises the lid and so here is another point to that. Males living alone ( any of the ones I know anyhow) don't buy furry seat covers for the toilet, sadistic women that have men over, buy the furry things. What am I talking about? Well the seat is designed to just barely stay up, the furry thing ruins the physics. Just picture this, you gotta go, I am talking race horse kind, and you are trying to balance the stupid seat thing. So you manage to get it to stay but ohhh no partway during your biz the thing comes crashing down which then causes certain contamination not to mention the embaressment it causes you as the entire party in the next room heard the seat thingy coming down (crashing on the porcelain). How macho will you feel when you hear the dreaded "Is everything ok in there".

Part of the problem of course is perception. Real guys stand up, wusses sit down!
Did I really just type that? Quick get me a

**The Geography Of A Woman **

Between 18 and 22, a woman is like Africa, half discovered, half wild, fertile and naturally beautiful!
Between 23 and 30, a woman is like Europe, well developed and open to trade, especially for someone with cash.
Between 31 and 35, a woman is like Spain, very hot, relaxed and convinced of her own beauty.
Between 36 and 40, a woman is like Greece, gently aging but still a warm and desirable place to visit.
Between 41 and 50, a woman is like Great Britain, with a glorious and all conquering past.
Between 51 and 60, a woman is like Israel, has been through war and doesn't make the same mistakes twice, takes care of business.
Between 61 and 70, a woman is like Canada, self-preserving but open to meeting new people.
After 70, she becomes Tibet, wildly beautiful, with a mysterious past and the wisdom of the ages ... only those with an adventurous spirit and a thirst for spiritual knowledge visit there.

** The Geography Of A Man **

Between 1 and 90, a man is like Iran, ruled by nuts ....

From my experience, dating both men and women, there really aren't that many differences. Gender stereotypes seem to be breaking down more and more over time. Overall though, it seems the men I know seem to be way more concerned about what type of car, or fancy electronics, they own... while the women are more concerned with quality of life, the environment, and being a good person. Once again though, always exceptions.

Dunno if there's a diff between pc/mac but it tells you how to insert quotes to the right of your screen when responding to a post, right above the smilies.

You do the quote in the bracket thingy, do your text, and at the end of it do the quote slash bracket thingy

No difference between PC and Macs. I'm on a Mac and I see the quote instructions to the right.

re 25-Why would it spray all over the place unless the lid was put down too? Having sat on one with the lid down in the middle of the night, this too is annoying.
If the women who complain tushes are very large, then the men who complain about the seat left down must have very small penises

There is massive differences between men and women. But right now the culture is confusing things between the sexes and so people are less happy then ever before in relationship and life in general

everyone from Businesses to feminists want women to be like men. The only people who really dont want women to be like men is men
