Posted: 4/14/2009 2:34:17 PM | The rules have changed, its not only the men that do the asking for dancing anymore, us gals are allowed to ask too.  And the more events you go to, the more people you will meet. It might take awhile to get comfortable introducing yourself around, but once you start, you'll meet plenty of new friends, men and women. Besides, if the men don't want to dance, there's usually a group of women up dancing, and you're more than welcome to join in. You can only meet people if you get out and be seen.
And in all fairness, though there was a decent crowd at the dance on the 11th, it was also Easter weekend, so the crowd was not near as big as it usually is. | |

For anyone unsure about these events, come out and give them a try. You might be surprised who you might meet. Hoping the friendship I made at the Valentine's event will be joining me.

I have been going semi regularly now to dancing and pool and they have been great times. I have even decided to take up Dance lessons. Yahoo can't wait

I haven't been proactive with the group, and I think is a good opportunity to see what is going on ..... This will be my first time activity with the group of "Plenty of Fish" I will be looking forward to meet all your friends, and of course I will be ready to have fun, seems to be a lot of wonderful people over there......

Many of us do help out because we've all been in the same boat, new to single life, and shy about meeting new people. (Well, except me, as some of you know.) I'll certainly be looking for newbies and say "hi".

Anyone who missed it, you missed a good one. All you ever have to do is say "hi" to ONE person, one of us who post on the forum. We don't bite, we're very nice people. So get out next time and meet REAL people!!!!!
