| Eharmony - Knowing What You Are Buying ? Posted: 8/6/2009 6:15:57 PM | | I joined eharmony in February and had a whole lot of responses from men (with no pictures). I would email the men but none would respond. I wrote to eharmony that I wanted to cancel and all of the sudden I started getting responses from men (with pictures) and this time I was getting responsesl. I met about six men and continue to talk to one of the men but no longer a member. | |

| Eharmony - Knowing What You Are Buying ? Posted: 8/6/2009 11:11:34 PM | I love it!! These pay sites are so funny!! And they are just evil at the same time. I got sucked into joining some. And paying..DUH!
You fill out all their stupid forms and get the "free" membership then you get all these emails saying someone has flirted or messaged you. So you go to the site and click on "read your messages" only to get redirected to some "upgrade" page where they ask for money.
If you are stupid enough to pay..which I was...and you get to open and read your email....9 times out of 10 its some site generated thing.

| Eharmony - Knowing What You Are Buying ? Posted: 8/7/2009 12:42:17 AM | | Eharmony is just another dating site, trying to make money. I understand that. But it really ticked me off to take their very long 'interview' and then be told there was absolutely no one even close to being a match for me. And I belonged to match for a while, but their rates have skyrocketed. So long, match. I wouldn't mind paying for results, but as it is, I've been paying for nothing. I have better luck at the corner bar. | |

I haven't read any of the posts yet..but all I have to say...I live in San Diego and I KNOW there has to be at least one match for me. I paid all that darn money and then got an email that said "we have no matches for you". They wouldn't even give me my money back! I guess I'm totally unmatchable.
Haahaahaaa I did the eharmony profile thing and I got the same results!!! Of course, I'm in hicksville so I kind of undertood that..but San Diego?

Yep...in San Diego! I think its the age thing. I prefer someone closer to my age, not too much older or younger..most men over 40 don't want to be bothered..at least here in So Cal..also my interests..who knows? I felt like kind of an idiot..an internet dating reject! I still have the email!

| Eharmony - Knowing What You Are Buying ? Posted: 8/16/2009 5:19:33 PM | Eharmony is a complete waste. I tried it three different times over the years when they had their "freebie" promos, and the very few "matches" that they insisted on sending me were completely out of the guidelines of what I was looking for - and I was set up with a pretty wide range.
I used to like match.com - met my last LTR on there and we were together for five years - but it's a wasteland these days too. I like these POF fora.
