AND
if i spent my life wondering what people will think of me when i am an old lady, i might as well shoot myself right now.

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 10/3/2007 1:50:25 PM | | i saw a woman at my gym the other day with a black sun tatooed in the center of her back. it looked lovely. i think upper arm tattoos on women are horrible though. love men with tribal designs. | |

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 10/12/2007 9:35:33 AM | At last count I have 15 tattoos...and yes I plan to get more. Not anywhere too visible... no hands or face ones...but I want to get a new one on my ankle..the one that's there is pretty old and is faded... I also want to get a faery on the bottom of my back... black and white...rising out of mist...or something along those lines...hehe. | |

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 10/12/2007 9:53:23 AM | I have no Tattoos, I like seeing them ,and they look nice in moderation (my outlook). I dated a woman that her right side was all tattoo. from her wrists to her chest, I think it would have been nice if , she had stoped with the first one and not added many more. (I sopported Her) If a woman wants a tat, that its her choice to have all the tats she wants and what I or anyone thinks about them dosn,t matter. Again its her life and if she feels this as art, or a name for a loved one, ect... then this is up to her. We Men /woman dont own theese other people in our lives, so give it up and let her enjoy the time on this earth as she would like too. If Tattoos is what the woman wants then by all meens soport her~!!! | |

But, they have to be original and done with tact. They also should have some sort of purpose. Not just trendy decoration. (my opinion.)
Now, the ones at the lower back? Otherwise known as "tramp stamps"? IF you had it for more than 3-5 years, then it's ok. If not? You're just another trend follower. I've been recommending that girls just get a tattoo of a beer coaster there instead, as that seems to be the implication now.
I won't turn someone away if they have one though. :p

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 10/12/2007 10:41:26 AM | I'd love to know why a tattoo on the lower back is called a tramp stamp. Do you have to be a tramp to get one? Is there some sort of test? lol.
I think that's just another small minded label for something. I happen to think a tattoo on the lower back is quite pretty, not at all sl*tty. Unless it's a tattoo of an arrow pointing downwards saying "Enter Here" lmao. I got my first tattoo about 13 years ago lol and it was simply because my brother got one. So we have two identical tattoos in the same place.

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 10/12/2007 11:00:50 AM | Like I said, I wouldn't turn someone down because of it.
It's just become the "in" thing amongst the "loose" party girls at the clubs/bars. All of them wear the low pants/short shirts to show them off. It's really a shame, because they can be awesome. But unfortunately it's become more of a walking billboard in teh bars. Just speaking from the "guys perspective" here. It's kind of like the "barbed wire arm band" or old english font of the last name across the shoulders, that became so common on guys.
If a girl has one, I just hope it's something original. That's my only requirement for tattoos.

Very acceptable. I fail to see the difference between those and a well placed tatoo. Major turn-on!

If one were to ask mine, I would say that it really all depended on the person. Very generally speaking I don't dig full sleeves on women and find that a few tattoos in the right locations on the right person can be sexy. But that again is my own personal opinion.

AND what is with all the women getting the same or a variety of the same tattoos on their lower back for? Can't people be original. I have a gecko walking across my lower back leaving foot prints....that's not the same cookie cutter Celtic knots everyone's got. Also a Chinese dragon on my lower stomach and a kanji symbol on my chest. All can be covered if needed or show at my discretion.

From what i understand it's called a tramp stamp for 2 reasons obvious one being it's on your lower back and works as a bullseye 2. most of the women who get them now wear their clothes so it can be seen. It's just a stupid nick name.
I personally love tattoos man/woman whatever if it's something that means alot to them and they have a story to tell about it i want to hear it. If it's a flash tattoo i'm probably not going to appreciate it as much as a custom designed peice. My feeling about flash tattoos are you just walked into some random shop found a random design you thought would make you look cool/tough/badass whatever and got it done.

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 10/24/2007 7:36:45 AM | | I see that most of you are turned off unless they are just right,Goldilocks! I am a heavily tattoed person with high quality art work. I am also over 50 and not doing it because it is a trend. We heavily tattoed people do it because we love it and dare to walk the road less travelled. The way I look at it i only want open minded people in my life and you can tell how open a person is just by the way they look at your tattoos. I am very private about mine and don't want the uptight to see them anyway. To each his own. | |
