| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 9/5/2005 2:20:03 PM | I wouldn't say having a tatoo adds to one's character, but rather, it shows something of their character and that may be viewed as either good or bad.
I certainly hope thhose who get tatoos aren't doing it in thinking it "adds" something to them, but I suspect that's the main objective, just like smoking cigarettes may give one the impression they are suddenly "cool" where before they weren't (or less so).

yes it shows 'something' of their character, but also adds to it.... alot of ppl get tatties for just the sake of having 'ink'...... however there are alot of us that get ink, that took along time to decide what to get and it reflects on part of our lives etc. All 5 of my tatties mean something different to me.. they have meaning for 'just me'..... that would 'add' to my character and who I am..
Just looking at me and deciding that because I have tattoes i'm 'bad/good'..... you can't do that.... but I"ll save you all the trouble and tell you......... i'm a good girl.. with naughty written all over me.... :)

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 9/5/2005 3:20:04 PM | just adds to their character...
Huh? Character is an INTERNAL quality.Tattos, peircings, clothes, are ALL EXTERNAL....they are more likely to hint to the inside, and as likely to show that someone is a character rather than add to their character. NEVER mistake the 2
does that make or break your decision to contact this person ? If I'm on the fence and not sure as to whether to contact someone, tats can be A factor in deciding to contact them however it is NEVER THE factor. Not quite as bad as someone mentioning that they have a missing front tooth (IMO) ...Then again, most who have missing front teeth weren't silly enough to wish that upon themselves Just My OPINION Seriously though, tattos are NOT sexy nor attractive to me. However an attractive woman with a tat or 2 who is a wonderful person who HAS class and CHARACTER rather than who is simply A character is better to find than a toothless woman without tats I mean is more appealing than a classless woman without tats.(point is,is THAT saying much?)
On the real.....tats are NOT sexy,NOT sexy,NOT sexy! Getting Inked Stinks!
Anybody can get a tat...its nothing special,a silly fad as far as western popularity is concerned. How independent or intelligent can it be to follow a trend that has lifetime ramifications? Like I said before...why try to augment a Van Gogh?Seems like a poor person who recently won the lottery and buys a $1million Rembrandt to show his great artistic taste and "class" then paints over parts of it to "make it even better" because he got a B+ in his 8th grade art class and heard artist have "class". To me tats are like Zits that people ASK to get!!!! People can do as they please, still doesn't make it wise.

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 9/5/2005 9:26:28 PM | I agree with you that tattoos can be a spiritual thing....I think ink is sexy by itself, but if the woman that has it has a good story to go along, I'm all ears.....and if she's got a couple of piercings, then I'm all hers...but not any piercings in weird places like the lips....unless they are the lower ones.... | |

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 9/5/2005 10:38:05 PM | | They can be a turn-on in moderation in the right spots, but simply to many or large tatoo,s on a woman just don,t look nice. tatoo,s are not really feminin and to many takes that away.. | |

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 9/6/2005 12:02:21 AM | | Marathon you're on the money. Tattoos are generally a negative in my book because the way I see it, you are doing it because it is cool, or because you need to be noticed and can’t do it on your own merit and those are both definitely negatives in my book. How can it be artistic if it is hidden, and if it is out in the open then it is drawing attention to you by reason of its being. There are so many outlets for creativity that there is no reason save the two aforementioned reasons to create permanent drawings on yourself. Now I, challenge you all to a duel, prove to me that getting a tattoo isn’t conforming by non-conformity, or a desperate plea to garner attention to yourself and I will bow to you all great and knowing one | |

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 9/6/2005 5:16:40 AM | Tattoo's on women? Very much depends on what it is and where it is. Something small like a butterfly or kitten, or those one's that girls have across the base of their back are nice. Blood drenched, fire breathing skulls are not. Also depends how good the artist was that did the tattoo in the first place. A great design can be ruined by the artist rushing. The other thing about tattoo's, is once they are on, they don't come off very easily - laser surgery is not cheap, nor is it painless. And as a woman gets older, things start to sag a bit and the colours fade - what looked great 5yrs ago, may not look so good now - what seemed like a good idea at the time, can cause regret a few years down the line. Ultimately, it's down to individual choice. Me, I like them - within reason. | |

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 9/7/2005 6:04:32 AM | kitten on the prowl, tattoos are a turn off to me , because they make people look cheap and sleazy . when I see a chick with a tattoo i think she is either a slut, prostitute, stripper, or a person of sleazy character . That is just what my father taught me when I was a kid and since then I heeded his advice | |

| Tattoos on women turn on or turn off? just curious Posted: 9/7/2005 6:57:51 AM | Firefoxspkn,
You can just say it's a turn off, and that fine.
But why would you say: "they make people look cheap and sleazy. when I see a chick with a tattoo i think she is either a slut, prostitute, stripper, or a person of sleazy character".
Is that really necessary.
Some tattoos might not be that great but, I know beautiful women with beautiful tattoos, and these women don't come with a "price tag".
With all of the advice your father may have gave you, he never mentioned "don't judge a book by it's cover".
There is really no need to be mean about women with tattoos. They are still people with feelings. Just place a post a give a tasteful opinion. That's all that is necessary.
