Might. Didn't. I had several clear pictures of me, smiling, playing sport, patting pets etc. I even had a photo shoot set up. Same old thing. How one looks is how they look.

Man like me can't even get his foot in the door because i just get looked over. My only consolation is that it wasn't a huge waste of money like e-Harmoney, match.com and a bunch of other pay sites I've used. | |

I had this perfectly written profile...in the mean time I have "dumbed" it down because I thought I come across as intimidating...I "dumbed" it down so much that it really makes no longer sense...laughing here.
A few men wrote for a bit, then they disappeared. I had one conversation via IM with a man who wanted a woman who can intelligently carry a conversation; the second sentence he wrote (and he thought it was funny) was something so horried about his ex-wife that I just deleted him.
Now I just fiddle around in the forum section...
It is truly sad to hear about all the games being played.

I've heard alot of nonsensical whims on this site..like "you get out of it what you put into it".
Nonsense. I've put close to 7 years into it, and as I said tried many different profile contents and photos. I have sent in my time 50,000 messages (and counting). Same old "Read/Delete". (and yes, I have sent different types of messages, not just "hi".
I'm personally intending to place a $1000 bet that not one on this site would be interested in me. that is not speaking negativly, but truthfully. | |

Unfortunately the nonverbal cues are not there...and none of the emoticons can replace that. So if you think of all the messages you have sent...do you think that perhaps the wording made a difference in the non-responses you say you had? | |

I was just thinking about perceptive speech...but then again I am thinking we all have to consider that it is the fame of mind of the individual who is reading the email...if the person had disappointing experience moments before you wrote, it could reflect how she is responding. | |

I hope you don't take this the wrong way but I totally disagree with your self-assesment. You are definitely not nasty looking. Congratulations on your engagement and I agree...if I thought I had a chance I'd like to go out with you. Now...as for nasty...you wanna see nasty..slide on over to my profile. I think I rate an average 2.83...though I tend to rate about a 4-something among women in their thirties..which is fine since I hope to meet someone closer to my own age. | |
