In my opinion a man who enjoys oral also enjoys giving and to give is to receive. Thus a man probably thinks that is just a wonderful gift that a woman desires him enough not to want to spit him out but to indulge every last drop. We ladies are salty too.
I've never dated a woman in my life who put much stock in receiving. Girls I date are givers. Everyone is different. My best guy friend only really likes to give and doesn't care about receiving much. Everyone is different. I'm the exact opposite of him.
That said, I am a good bf/husband/whatever and if I am with a partner who wants to please me (by swallowing because it makes it 1000 times better with the intimacy involved) I always, always, always drink pineapple juice. It makes everything much better.

Personally, I don't swallow for just anyone. It is typically something that occurs in a solid relationship though.
I just have a repulsion factor with people I don't know and their fluids. It differs with my romantic partners though...so I guess it's psychological.
Personally I think the consistency and taste of male semen is sickening. Thankfully, most of my partners in the past haven't required me to swallow in order to feel accepted. It was enough that I worked very hard at giving him a great oral time.
