I just wanted to make my presence known before the night itself. A friend of mine brought the event to my attention, so I checked it out and even signed-up to the site while I was at it!

Hi and welcome aboard OBI. Nothing wrong with making your presence felt before the party, so well done and thanks for making a contribution to the thread. A huge WELL DONE goes to the friend who brought the event to your attention too - especially as your becoming aware of it encouraged you to sign up to this fabulous website we know as POF. Oh, and no worries fella, the event is indeed a 'unisex affair' that's open to everyone, so long as they're over 18, of course.

Note that with guests added to the 97 members signed up at the time of my posting this message, the potential party attendance currently rests at 145. By all means, do keep hitting that signup button found in message No.1 on page one folks. Come Saturday July 4th, we could be in for one very extra special event indeed.

Great signup for this one so far – and there’s still plenty of time for the potential attendance to go even larger before the weekend! 
For now though, here are some things worth remembering for this Saturday 4th of July’s event:
* Pre-meet drinks are being held from 7.00 pm ‘til 8.30 pm at REVOLUTION BAR
1, The Strand, DE1 1BJ
* Our main nightclub event at Syn commences at 8.30 pm.
* Each member/guest who arrives at the club before 9.00 pm will receive one free drink voucher on entry.
* Attendees who arrive as close to the 8.30 pm start will make the most of our POF party.
* Feel free to bring as many guests as you like, but please ensure everyone is over 18 and can prove it if they look under 21.
* Ladies and gentleman who make the effort to dress to impress could win a bottle of champagne for their efforts. (Note that minimum dress code is ‘smart jeans, smart trainers, smart top’ Strictly no sporty shirts or bottoms.)
* Finally and importantly, please remember to read all details in message No.1 on page one before signing up to ‘or attending’ this event. Newcomers keen to join the party will find the signup button just above the top row of attendees’ photos in the same promotional message.
By all means free to add your names folks. Judging by the positive response shown so far, we could be in for one fantastic evening spent in warm and friendly company.
Who knows? If you’re really lucky, your Mr or Miss Right just might be there too.

Accounting for the fact that many of the 119 members currently signed up are bringing at least one guest with 'em, we could be in for one truly atmospheric party this coming Saturday night.

Shame you won’t be there to experience our first event at Syn, ToastedMM, but thanks for letting me know. As for when the next local events are scheduled, here are a couple of links for you to click and explore.

For the record, anyone keen to know what’s coming up event-wise in the UK only needs to click the ‘Local events’ link at the top of their message inbox. The link, which is directly under ‘My matches’ and to the left of ‘Fix Distorted Thumbnails’, will bring up a whole list of scheduled get-togethers, which currently includes dates from July the 4th to September 25th. All are active links that will take you straight to the relevant signup threads when clicked. Hope this helps.

Hey there lilykatie74. That’s just what I like to see – ladies looking forward to the event and pondering the prospect of donning their dancing shoes for a night of boogying. Actually, thinking about it, I’m looking forward to seeing the moves of all partygoers who take to the floor this Saturday night.
Having received confirmation earlier today that the DJ and music are sorted, all we need now are a number of willing participants like your good self to help make the party rock. Mind you, if my experience of Derby-based POF parties of the past is anything to go by, that won’t prove to be too much of a problem. I have no doubt whatsoever that there will be fun and dancing frolics as usual. 
Update: I should have around 6-8 guests with me for this event…
Ahem, I wonder if more than half of your guests will be as invisible as those you brought to the last Derby event Rebellious One? No worries though fella, I’ll wear my super duper thermal glasses so I can pick ‘em all out from the crowd this time.  Joking aside, it really is shaping up to be good un, and I can see no logical reason why it shouldn’t turn out to be a real cracker for those who make the effort to attend, mix and chat to others partygoers. Returning to the subject of guests, lots of members are actually bringing at least one and, in some cases, even five or six.
Anyway, thanks again to everyone signed up so far. If you’re one of those still pondering the prospect of joining us, then dilly-dally no more folks. Hit that signup button and add your names to the list of members already down to support us. You’ll find it in message No.1 on page one of this promotional thread.
Please, please, please, however, ensure you read all details in the same message before you attend on the night. Furthermore, you might also like to check out my reminder message No.30 above in advance of Saturday’s party.

Hi all
Just in case I don’t get chance to post again before Saturday’s event, here’s what may be your final reminder re proceedings:
* Pre-meet drinks, which some members use to break the ice before the main event, take place from 7.00 pm ‘til 8.30 pm at Revolution Bar, 1, The Strand. We have the back room for the whole 90-minute period.
* Our main nightclub event at Syn commences at 8.30 pm and every partygoer who enters before 9.00 pm will receive one free drink voucher. Just tell the door staff you’re there for the POF party and you/guests will gain free entry.
* Arrive as close to the 8.30 pm start as possible to make the most of our POF party.
Bring as many guests as you like, but please ensure everyone is over 18 and can prove it if they look under 21.
* Ladies and gents who make the effort to dress elegantly or smartly could win a bottle of champagne for their efforts. Note that minimum dress code is ‘smart jeans, smart trainers, smart top’.
* Comprehensive details re venue locations, schedules, etc., are in message No.1 on page one of the promotional thread, which I advise you to read before attending.
* Don’t worry if you’re not signed up to the event but would still like to attend at the last minute. It’s only ever too late to make your presence felt when the party is over.
All that remains for me say is that I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in less than 24 hrs from the time I post this message.

As I have a surprising few moments to spare in busy schedule ahead of tonight’s Syn party, I’ve popped back in to say thanks again to those of you having signed up to the event. If you’ve contributed to this promotional thread, I thank you for your additional time and effort too.
At this point, I’ll respectfully remind everyone NOT to leave any after-party comments here. As always, I’ll create a separate images thread for that very purpose, leaving an active link to it in my closing post here at my earliest convenience (usually within and couple of hours of my return home after the event).
Before you leave for tonight’s party, please read my message No.39 above and also the whole of message No.1 on page one for all relevant details re schedules, venue and car park locations, etc, etc.
So, I’ll look forward to seeing you either between 7.00 and 8.30 pm at the pre-meet, or hopefully before 9.00 pm at the main event.
