Now have a 2-0 lead going into LA........................A. Rod gets hits in the clutch when Yanks trailed in extra innings...tying the game!............Angels made 1 error too many!

Its been a long climb to the top!.......they were slow at the outset, but i knew they were gonna rise up, and little by little they did just that!.................it was gut wrenching, having to hear it from Yankee haters.........but we overcame!

As much as I'm opposed to the idea of a salary cap, I do think it would be interesting to see how the Yankees would change if one were to be implimented. Especially since Steinbrenner once upon a time made no secret of the fact that he preferred to buy his teams and ideally would prefer not to even have a farm system. From what I understand, Jeter wasn't even going to be a Yankee originally. They would have used him as trade bait for something more ready made. But he kind of slipped through the cracks onto the roster. | |
