Does it count if I was 10 years old a the time? You still left me some wiggle room there. A little too much NyQuil and I thought I was Superman - wore the kitchen tablecloth as a cape and had my undies outside my pants.
Parents, I bid you, don't let the tikes toke too much from the NyQuil Bottle. That sh!t is 140 proof!

If you use steroids or marajuana, there's no self-perception that can alter the truth there. So if I use a steroid inhaler such as Becloforte for the treatment of asthma... I would then have to claim that I do drugs in my profile? Exactly where does the line get drawn...
I'm pretty sure the question revolved around legality. I doubt Admin wanted you to tell potential mates whether or not you'd taken aspirin "socially" or "occasionally", thereby causing yourself to wear your undies outside your pants. On the other hand, who knows? Maybe the idea was to let people admit to the world that they Prozac their way to cloud 9? That their shiny happy toothy grin is only so scary because it was assembled courtesy of enough tranquilizers to kill a racehorse?
Next one, I hadn't noticed until someone claimed it as a symbol of victory.
I'm not going to list on the front page of my profile on a public website that I have smoked. That would make me stupid. game. set. match. There are just some things you don't share openly with the world. Admitting it to an individual person who is interested in you? Absolutely, you have to be honest about that, but no way will I just leave that up for anyone to see.
I guess that's a good point. Being too honest upfront with the wrong people can be a bad idea. Maybe Admin should add another question - the question we get asked when crossing the state line back into California, "Do you have anything to declare?", to which I usually respond with the song "Valkyrie, Valkyrah".

Pretty simple solution if you ask me but the pharmacutical industry with their powerful lobbyists want nothing to do with legal pot because it directly affects their business. Our jails are filled with plain everyday folks busted for the "evil" weed while rapist, robbers, child molesters, and even murderers get lighter sentences. Where is there any justice in that? | |

Posted: 5/15/2009 12:25:13 AM | I have to have my daily fix of metformin, glipizide, lisinopril and terazosin or the day goes really bad.
Glucosamine/chondroitin, lutein and saw palmetto takes the edge off. Also helps me sleep.
Gotta love the antioxidants and supplements I'm hooked on, too, I think they're mostly what's keeping me going.
I haven't had reefer in years, but it was the best analgesic I found for surgical pain recovery (muscle relaxer/antispasmodic properties), especially with valium.
It's too bad health care issues and pharmaceuticals are so politicized, but if poor people were healthy they might look around and realize how badly they've been had. | |

Weirdly enough, I think you misunderstood my point but are re-enforcing it at the same time.
All I was saying was people are getting off topic by arguing over cigarettes are worse than weed, alcohol this scripts that, when the point of the thread was honesty about it in your profile so as to not deceive the suitor (and that was hazzare's complaint, not mine).
I agree with you, it's not necessarily the most prudent course to openly admit you do drugs, though some people like to wave it about like a flag, and that's their business. If there are certain things that really bother you (such as drugs), state so in your profile and make it apparent to the person when you're chatting that it really bothers you. In hazzare's case I think the situation was a little extreme, there was a complete lack of common courtesy and regard for the other party; if I were to light up a joint in someone elses car, even if they smoked too, I'd still ask them for permission. | |

You may have noticed a prefer not to say as my response to that question. Let me address that now.
I partake in herbal therapy on occassion. If that is a problem for you, let me know now so we don't waste either of our time.
Wasn't one man who declined. And they were from a very broad career spectrum.
One man I dated 2x, not from PoF, was a raging alcoholic. He's dead now, got drunk, fell in his shower, dragged himself to his bed and exsanguinated (bled out).
Another man I dated, another non-PoF'er, gave up drinking when I told him I didn't want to be around him if he was going to drink. Drinking was a big part of his life before he met me. He was a retired police chief from a very upscale county. I wound up breaking up with him because I felt him to be a bigger fixer-upper than I could manage. It was about a year later I found out he was in a facility due to a form of dementia, brought on by years of drinking. Some call it "wet brain". It's a haunting memory.
I was raised w/o a father because my mother did not want me to grow up with an alcoholic in the home.
My ex husband decided last minute not to get into a deuce and a half for a shower run while on manuevers. He didn't know the driver had been drinking. The truck veered off the roadway, rolled down a mountainside. 15 soldiers perished.
I could go on, but you get the drift.
I don't have any such tragic stories to share about anyone in my life who does/did herbal. | |

Alcohol, on the other hand, has killed millions, and caused serious harm to millions more. And then there's the families it damages and the people drunk drivers kill.

Employers avoid ppl who smoke weed AT WORK..it's not acceptable...As with a bunch of things..
I see all the pot heads every day and they just embarrass themselves with their slower speech, poor motor skills, absence of mind, and they stink. That smell is incredibly offensive. GROW UP.
You basically just described an alcoholic..Do you drink? I hope not because then you should grow up! On a side note the smell from a good bag is amazing!

Oops, I forgot to mention the harder drug that I do sometimes. I take the odd advil/ibuprofen pill for pain but I'm not an addict!
