| The shaving craze Posted: 4/16/2009 12:03:29 AM | Ok, for all the women saying that it's unhygienic to shave, can anyone point to proof that clean shaven women are more likely to get infections? And it's wrong that they do not smell unless a girl has an infection...if a woman has been working out or even shopping all day it's going to smell more with hair...just like a man.
I prefer the shaven look, or at least trimmed. It's a courtesy thing...if you want my mouth down there then please clear me a path. Is it sexy to you when a man is picking your pubes out of his teeth? I trim mine as a courtesy, because I don't take it for granted that a woman will go down on a hairy, sweaty, stinky man.

| The shaving craze Posted: 4/16/2009 6:04:13 PM | Yes I agree, Plus for me it's a CLEAN thning.. It's just looks better Shaved... | |

| The shaving craze Posted: 4/16/2009 6:07:17 PM | | I like everything shaved...but of course I am in the Porn industry.... | |
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/16/2009 6:33:43 PM | Ok, So is it freaky for a guy to groom himself? I am sure I am going to get the "Metro" remark as usual but do women find it weird? The last person I was with kind of got jealous because I was more groomed than her. I just told her to look outside, you are not in the amazon.
Personally I started because the summer months cause more sweat. Since than it has just become habit. The funny thing is, when I part my hair down the middle. My nose looks bigger!

| The shaving craze Posted: 4/16/2009 6:54:06 PM | God I love all this "picking hair out of my teeth"BS.
As an unshaved woman, who has had an unshaved/trimmed partner I have experienced the hair in the mouth issue maybe 3 times. You're not supposed to munch it.
I also second the comments about pubic hair being healthier. It acts as a natural barrier to bacteria.
So many people seem to forget that the shaving thing is a relatively NEW craze... There was a period in time when NO ONE shaved their pubic hair and it was completely normal.
I don't hear people complaining when they kiss their partner on the head and get a hair.
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/16/2009 7:31:38 PM | Basically it's isn't really unhygenic. It can't be.......Yes hair is there for a reason, but hell, it is un-hygenic for a man to shave his face?! No
Is it un-hygenic for a girl to shave her legs?! No
I don't think there is proof, so for me, It's all good!!!
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/16/2009 8:54:51 PM | It's a fashion, plain and simple. You can follow it or choose not to. I see a lot of people justifying or rationalizing their preferences and that's to be expected, but a couple things bug me.
I also second the comments about pubic hair being healthier. It acts as a natural barrier to bacteria. I would love to see some proof of this, because it's completely counterintuitive. Bacteria are microscopic organisms which live on surfaces. Number one, they can easily pass through and around the hairs which are many thousands of times bigger than themselves. Hair may be a barrier for dirt and foreign debris, but not bacteria. Number two, even though hairs are thin, they're long so they are multiplying by many times the amount of surface area on which bacteria may live. With the addition of sweat and nutrient-rich bodily fluids, hair is far more of a breeding ground than a barrier for bacteria. That's why if it's not cleaned fastidiously, it stinks. The smell is not the sweat or fluids, but the byproduct of bacteria breaking it down - germ crap.

| The shaving craze Posted: 4/16/2009 9:08:18 PM | I need it wax from front to back. hair is just wrong, even on men if they don't trim and shave it a bit. | |
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/17/2009 3:58:44 PM | Thank you Dr. FourUms for the information. I would like my exam now... | |

| The shaving craze Posted: 4/17/2009 8:27:51 PM | Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary, How does your garden grow?
Short and sweet, and trimmed up neat, so the boys line up in a row.

| The shaving craze Posted: 4/17/2009 8:31:15 PM | i shave it all,i think women should b a bit more considerate to guys,if ye expect them to have their face down there then at least make sure hes not fighting his way through a forest, and ull get it more too so happy days!! that goes for ye guys too though,i dont expect ye to shave completely but b nice not to b gagging on a runaway pube | |
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 5:12:44 AM | I wish women would leave it natural, or trimmed. Nothing is worse than completely bald!
I don't mind "fighting" through a "forest" at all!
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 6:18:14 AM | As with any trend/phase the shaved thing will pass and bushes will be back in fashion. Then it will change again, and again, and again....
If your woman shaves you can always ask her just to grow it for you...that's the good thing about shaving, you can at least choose what you want down there....permanent hair removal is a whole different story and not so negotiable :)
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 6:41:40 AM | | I prefer shaved, however a landing strip is fine also, I just don't like to dive into a buckwheat on a bad hair day. | |
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 7:10:20 AM | | I feel cleaner and neater with it shaved. I don't do it for anyone but myself. I prefer men who trim but shaving is optional. I don't do it because of the porn industry or because anyone likes it or doesn't. I do it because I prefer it that way. | |
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 7:47:43 AM | To the woman who said "If I quit shaving, I could be a hair fetishist's wet dream" I have to ask, what kind of fetishist are you appealing to by being shaved, a guy who likes little girls?
I like natural fur. And a few years ago I did have a girlfriend who only shaved (legs and underarms, I mean, never crotch) in summer, and I never had a problem with it. I mean, I'd happily jump her bones in summer, but I was fine with her winter pelt too. But she was no militant about it--she used to say "I can't believe you're accepting this! I'm only staying hairy because shaving's a pain, but I'll do it if you want." I think really she wanted me to ask her to do it so she could blame me for it. It's that kind of attitude that caused us not to be together any more.

| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 8:08:22 AM | | Grown up women and men have body hair. Get over it. | |
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 8:13:25 AM | I have half and half to please my partner and myself. Clean shaven from the bottom up to an inch above my clit. No strip or hearts just a clean area for him to play and still feel like a grown woman with the top trimmed. Everyone is happy and no one getting p.o'ed bout bush or cleanshaven as I have both. | |

I have to ask, what kind of fetishist are you appealing to by being shaved, a guy who likes little girls?
I am not appealing to any fetishists by being shaved. There is no way on this earth that anyone could look at me and mistake me for a little girl.
When I said hairy I wasn't joking around. If my pubic hair was confined to my pubic area I probably wouldn't have started shaving it off. If I let it grow, I have pubic hair in an area as big as a salad plate. Doesn't that sound attractive!? NOT! Sure, I could shave all but a pubic patch but that would require that I do some shaping, making sure that I keep things symmetrical. Oops! Too much off this side, now I have to redo the other side! Then once I finish the shaving part I break out the scissors and trim up. Its just easier and faster to shave it all.
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 8:48:07 AM | | I get waxed regularily and like feeling smooth. Waxing lasts longer than shaving and it's less bother. | |
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 9:35:15 AM | | I love the feeling of skin against skin. Never liked the bristly feel of a beard or coarse hair. So for me, it is a sensation issue, just feels alot better. To each, their hairy own! | |

Not trying to be perverted, however, I was wondering is there any women who do not shave thier lower regions anymore. I actually find shaving to be a turn off. However I notice that it is getting harder to find women who don't.
I agree with you completely. I find shaving to be a turn-off also. Wait, let me clarrify that. I find shaving pubic hair to be a turn-off. Ladies, please keep shaving your legs! But yeah, I love a nice bush and it's so hard to find that now-a-days.
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 1:02:43 PM | | Sometimes I'll shave it, sometimes I won't. Since I dont allow oral, I don't see the point in keeping it shaved at all times. | |
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 1:20:29 PM | | I'm a bush man. Hair down there is a woman to me. shaved is like a little girl. IMO. | |
|
| The shaving craze Posted: 4/18/2009 1:51:50 PM | I hate body hair.... I am completely smooth and soft and would not consider growing it back to bushlike for any man.... that isn't because I can't compromise but because since removing it all I have found the sexual act to be so much more pleasurable. The feel of hair rubbing against hair used to be such a turn off for me and also made me quite sore but I never have that problem being so smooth. I also love my man to be nicely trimmed or even completely shaven if he wants as it makes going down on him so so nice... hair is such a distraction and there isn't anything worse than getting it in your mouth! A little fine hair line going up to his naval is quite sexy though. As odd as this may sound I actually pluck rather than shave, use creams or wax....I find it very theraputic ... mind you it might have something to do with the pain/pleasure theory | |
