| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 6:18:12 AM | | Yes I do. It's usually on in the mornings on the news while I'm getting ready for work. I also have a DVD and VHS player hooked up to it- which has come in handy when I'm sick with a bad cold. | |

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 6:20:44 AM | I've had a TV in the bedroom since I was a kid too...
I have one now, a very nice small one, mounted on the wall in the corner - it's nice at the end of the day to snuggle up and watch there for a little while before I go to sleep. Can't sleep with it on though.

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 6:45:20 AM | Yep, TV in the main room, my bedroom, my sons bedroom, the office, and the garage.
The TV in the bedroom primarily gets used for news and weather in the mornings while getting ready for work, or occasionally my girlfriend will go in there to watch if my son and I are using the big-screen in the main room to play X-Box on, or we are watching something she considers uninteresting.

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 7:00:08 AM | | I do have a TV in the bedroom,an older 19 inch hooked up to a VCR. Mostly so I can watch the local news while my girlfriend watches her favorite show on the satellite, but also so her and I can watch porn as a prelude to having sex. | |

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 7:25:29 AM | No TV in bedroom.
I do have computer in 4 rooms. :)

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 10:21:18 AM | | Nope, bedroom is used for two things and tv ain't one of them. | |
|
| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 12:17:35 PM | | Yes, I sleep with the tv on. After years of midnight shift, I can not sleep in the dark and without noise. | |

After years of midnight shift, I can not sleep in the dark and without noise. Trying to keep the monsters under the bed from coming out ?
Got two tvs' in the bedroom. Got the big tv in the living room , but don't watch that one much because my drums are also in the living room.
|
| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 4:32:31 PM | I do have one, just the past year or so, I had no idea what to do with the spare TV, don't ask me how I got to collect so many but I have, I think it's the bl@@dy technology's fault but my TV is never on, it just lives there, actually it sleeps there, the only time I had it on was for the openings of the Olympics and it was so boring i turned it off
Over all I prefer to watch TV where all the family gathers, my mother watches TV until she falls sleep, me? i am on the computer until I fall sleep on the keyboard.

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 4:38:53 PM | | No TV in my bedroom either. I have to room for one, I just choose not to. I am also a light sleeper so I need as few distractions as possible. | |

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 6:12:23 PM | We have a small set in the livingroom strictly for DVD's no TV service connected to it- there's an antenna on the roof but it picks nothing up. My daughter has a small portable which goes where her friends hang, porch, bedroom, or clubhouse, I know she's using it whenever I see the DVD player missing from the living room.
Each man in my life has pushed for a TV in the bedroom and max TV service. I regretted it everytime. One of the main reasons why my last exbf and I never shacked up was a HUGE difference in TV needs. One of the reasons...there were so many.
My husband could not care less about TV. Like my daughter and I, he's happy with movies now and then and happy with using the living room. Now, a stereo/radio in my room is an absolute must!

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 6:14:04 PM | It's bad idea if you are sleep-deprived. Trust me...I know.... | |

now that's different what do you sing? Lullaby for your prospective partner???

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/17/2009 11:47:13 PM | No TV; no radio (ie. “electronics” = electromagnetic waves); no books; no plants; no “clutter” (for peace of mind); no “towering” furniture (disrupts feelings of security); no mirrors (for when your “spirit” is out and about) ; no feet facing the door (the “dead man’s exit”); only a battery powered clock …
It’s a Feng Shui thing.
The bedroom is intended for sleep and sex; keeping all the other stuff out helps to promote that … (work for me).

The burning question of the day: Do you have a TV set in your bedroom? Nope, not at the moment. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. It could be nice, I do like to watch movies in bed (and maybe other stuff if I had a guy), but I haven't gotten around to getting a TV for the bedroom again.
|
| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/18/2009 2:57:38 AM | | I have a tv in my living room, but I rarely watch tv to begin with. I have never had a tv in my bedroom and never will. I need dead silence when I sleep. | |
|
| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/18/2009 5:11:15 AM | | We don't have a TV in the house, let alone in the bedroom! | |
|
| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/18/2009 10:17:24 AM | Ha ha, Jim, that's a whole 'nother question--do you have a mirror in your bedroom?! (I do not--it took me 9 months to get one in the bathroom!).
also so her and I can watch porn as a prelude to having sex. This is the only one that makes sense to me!
|
| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/18/2009 10:28:37 AM | Of course I have a TV in the bedroom, do you think I'm going to watch my homemade porn videos in the LIVING ROOM??? Think, people, THINK. | |

I have two TV s in my bedroom. One used as a karaoke machine and one for watching movies.
Now, that is interesting! Is the karaoke machine for when you croon the Righteous Brothers tunes for your love interest? Teasing you, of course, but that is some image going through my head right now!!
I do have a TV in my bedroom cos I like having a bit of noise to fall asleep to and I like watching movies late at night. I curl up in my bed, turn on the TV and turn on some show or movie...before long, I'm comfortably snoring and drooling! lol

Nope! It's the farthermost room from my neighbors house. So I can practice as loud as I want, without disturbing them. I am a karaoke junkie! Getting the right practice allows me to "croon" my way into hearts when at karaoke...LOL

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/18/2009 3:01:05 PM | OP -- I have a TV in my room (old 27" CRT) and have had it in there for about the last 2 years. Before then, I never had a TV in my room but just in the living room. The second TV was in the basement. When I was living with my ex fiancé she had one in her room, but again this was because I was watching the one out in the living room and if she didn't like what was on she could go watch whatever in there.
The TV in my room is just used for "white noise" when I feel restless and can't sleep. I've become so used to sleeping in the living room that I'm accustomed to that "white noise" now. If there's company over, the TV is on just to dull her sounds (which can get vastly annoying but that's another story). Sooner or later I'll probably end up getting a cheapo DVD player in there too, and then I can start sleeping back in my bed.
When the day comes and I move, I'll probably have the TV in my room again if the space permits it. If not, I'll toss it in another room or get another flat panel and just mount it to the wall.

| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/18/2009 4:50:51 PM | Yes I do have a tv in my bedroom. It is a teeny tiny one and it sits on my dresser. It also comes with a timer so I can put it on and the television will shut off after an hour. Right now, I have forgone the tv and in its place is a Wayne Dyer CD on meditation. | |
|
| TVs in bedrooms Posted: 4/18/2009 4:58:01 PM | | I don't...I prefer to watch tv in the Living Room of my house...I like to sit up on couch or chair while watching tv...I think it is uncomfortable to lay in bed and watch tv...I sleep in my bed or sometimes read a book... | |
