Nuggets have no one to blame but themselves, they lost the game at the free throw line tonight...

I do feel pretty good though, its gonna go 7 I think...

The Nuggets lost to a Laker's team that looked flat and unmotivated. The Nuggets lost period. Sounds like someone is searching for hope that the lack of production at the free throw line made the difference. The Nuggets could not put away a laker's team that was not ready to play.

The Nuggets Front line out-scored the Lakers 68 to 26 and still lost the game.

I thought it was a good game. It was anyone's game in the end. One basket decided the game. Forget about the what ifs. I thought Denver did real well the first game on Lakers turf.

I said the nuggets have no one to blame but themselves..read what I say...

I know the nuggets lost, I dont make excuses...hence why the comment "no to blame but themselves"

nuggets 23-35 .....lakers 20-24....

any idiot can see that the nuggets hurt themselves at the free throw line

If the Nuggets are going to win this series, J.R. Smith better have some better games than the one last night. It was less about free throws, than it was him playing like a$$.

If he plays well, I think the Nuggets can win it. If he doesn't, they won't win it.

Well, usually games don't ever repeat themselves the same way, where J.R. maybe didn't go off this game, and does the next game, maybe the Lakers will hit those open shots they missed in the first quarter. Maybe the Lakers don't get into foul trouble and Denver does. There is no one or two things that determines a game. The Lakers bench out scored Denver last night, maybe tomorrow night that changes. But Kobe goes off, and Melo has a bad game?

There are just too many variables... and that's why the games are fun, and you never know what will happen.

Tonight... If for any reason King James has a bad game, and the Magic are on... Don't think Cleveland can't be beat at home.

I'm a huge Laker fan, but I prefer this Denver team, because they will really challenge LA, and I would prefer to see LA beat someone like that, than breeze through. (And no... I'm not saying they have been breezing by teams, Houston was tough.)

As long as no one gets hurt, and they don't get too beat up, it will get them more ready to beat Cleveland in the finals.

So far... Cleveland hasn't been tested... at all.

Remember the final power rankings? Just for those that either forgot, or don't know. If you're comparing the number of games played to get to the next level, you need to compare apples with apples... not apples with oranges. Even Phoenix who didn't make the play-offs ranked higher and had a better record than half the teams from the east.

1 Cleveland 66-16
2 LA 65-17
3 Portland 54-28
4 Orlando 59-23
5 Boston 62-20
6 Houston 53-29
7 Denver 54-28
8 San Antonio 54-28
9 Dallas 50-32
10 Utah 48-34
11 Phoenix 46-36
12 Atlanta 47-35
13 Miami 43-39
14 New Orleans 49-33
15 Chicago 41-41

(unranked)
Philadelphia 41-41
Detroit 39-43

J.R. Smith is a huge variable, Jack. When he plays well, the Nuggets are usually pretty tough to beat, from what I have seen. I expect Carmelo and Kobe to show up almost every game, but I like the Nuggets, as a team, a whole lot more when J.R. Smith shows up.

No doubt... if J.R. hits 30 .... That will be tough to beat. But other things will have to happen as well. But still, they can't let J.R. go crazy, cause you're right, that will make it tough.

Yep.... Cleveland finally played somebody.

Williams and West is going to have to help James out more than they did tonight.

GO MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!

The Magic came out stumbling, but got better and better as the game went along, especially in the 3rd, that's when the Magic really got hot. The Cavs are going to lose this series if they can't figure out how to move the ball around more to other players. James is a great player but he isn't Superman. The Cavs just can't give him the ball and expect him to win the game for them night in and night out, especially against a solid team like the Magic or else they are going to burn James out by game 3 in this series. We saw how tired and cramped James was after the game and that’s just game 1.

The Cav's big men, the center is a big donut. Ever notitce this guys arms? Or lack of arms. Z does not play the D. Superman is going to run all over Z. Lookout Cav's fan. In short the Cav's choked big time last night!

David Stern doesn't have nightmares about an Orlando VS Denver series, he probably has full on panic attacks 10 0r 12 times a day.

I am a nuggets fan, accused of being a homer, but I want someone to answer this question..

besides kobe, who is the best player on the planet right now...

who else does the lakers have that is BETTER than the nuggets?...

Carmelo is on fire right now, there is NOBODY on the lakers who can guard him right now...

Billups is having a field day on whoever the "zen master" decides to put out there to face him...

Kenyon and Nene are just making Bynum look silly...by the way, for someone who gets so much hype(bynum) what has he EVER done?...

Lets not even compare benches...

I will say it...

the nuggets are a better TEAM than the lakers...

Don't get too ahead of yourself....

You made some good points. but don't count LA out.

Billups is playing great... and Melo is playing out of his mind.... The Lakers left Kenyon alone under the basket too much and Nene had a so so game. I can see him stepping it up.

Bynum, is going to be a great center someday... But he isn't there yet... He struggles, but hey.. he's young.

I actually see Melo playing as good as James... and Kobe.

Fish has been a no show... Gasol, Odom and Ariza... are up and down.

LA shouldn't have lost that game... but my hats off to Melo and the Nuggets.

I wouldn't say Nene is dominating anyone at this point in the series, and J.R. Smith has yet to show up. But yes, I agree that overall Denver is the better team and should win the series.

The Nuggets need J.R. Smith to start showing up though, because when he is on, they are just a very tough team to beat.

I think you'll find that Denver gives the Lakers a fairly hard series. Heck, they'd be up 2-0 if they played in Game 1 like they did in Game 2. Honestly, if the Nuggets keep playing like they did in Game 2, they might even win it. But guarantee if Denver sweeps the 2 games in Denver, you'll see Steve "company man" Javie officiate Game 5, and if that happens, Lakers win game 5. So it's going to atleast go 6 in this scenario.

Maybe 7 Jack. If the Nuggets keep up the effort as in Game 2, they have a real change to win this. I say it goes 7.

this proves my point....bynum gets the most hype I have ever seen, and he has done NOTHING...but everyone tells me how "great" he is gonna be...I just dont get it...

Out of 8 quarters in this series..nuggets have won 6 of them...you cant dispute..

The lakers have the best player on the planet...but overall team...

nuggets are better than the lakers...

laker fans should be thankful it isnt 2-0 denver...

The only time that matters in any game of basketball is the last 25 seconds. The game is won or lost during the playoffs at the end of the game. The rest means little in the end if the game is close.
