Catching a fish matters not.

Catching a salmon over a guppie does.

It pretty much depends on who you are and where you are.

Me? Been on here for a couple of months, met a couple of cool people but no real matches. But looking in my area you'll see most want Cowboys/Men not like me.. But that's Dallas!

And it's all good.

Took about two weeks and I never sent out a message (I'm a guy). Been with my (now) girlfriend for over three months. This is obviously not my original profile.

AHOY all Fishers...
Menu = Snack ~ vs ~ Meal
Bologny and those little weiner things will catch the small, eager fish.
For the bigger & tastier fish you might have to break out those prized lures.

I have met mostly nice people on here,2 serous that I thought would be more then friends, but the did not tell me they where married,One when I started to say well we should meet she stoped saying ,I love you,and to this day, pretends to be single, she is rather a temtress, and the one who would think this is her,no its not you, this one did not lie as much, and I had feeling for,but the second one, bunch of lies, not saying names, because that is not me,The rest have just been real friendly people, some I talk to now,When I decide it is just that person and I,dont cheat,my ex cheated on me,it sucks, but you get so mad at the other person, because your ex is the mother of your child, and that other person hurts the kid,its a discusting thing, the kid doesnt know what happens,he just know mommy and daddy are not married,I have dated 2 other people that where non fish one is a good friend, the other I could love but she went with this ***hole,I say that because he is one of those worms that is cheap and mean and she loves it,Trust me Im no pushover, but I like to treat a girl right where my ex lives everything is expensive and I used to treat her like a Queen, like this guy,my best friend got with my wife,The other non fish, cant say enough great things about her,if you get lost in her eyes you willfall in love

It's a gamble becaue if you really use the search functions and weed out the qualities you don't want in someone by the time you hit the search button guess what ZERO macthes. So it's more about compromising and sacrificing your expectations and learning to accept someone that is not what you were looking for perhaps your expectations are too high or at a certain age group those qualities or simply chemistry does not exist, back to the bar scene-lol

5 YEARS...7 MONTHS...24 DAYS...LOST COUNT ON THE MINUTES...

The key is to hold onto your reel with all your might, and slowly reel him in...even if it takes a lifetime...just never let go...and there is your beautiful fish...right in front of your eyes...let's go home fishy...

Well this is a 6,000,000 question when you figure it out let me know.
If you are open to finding one it will be easier but that just depends on what you want.
If you are looking for a companion and lover it may take a while. You can still enjoy the company of one another without having it be the one can't you?

^ That.

The kind of people I truly like are brilliant, but typically emotionally unavailable. Time is not the issue here, for one just needs to offer greater bait than a worm. One day I'll have that, and THEN I'll go fishing.

For now, I'm just here to observe, occasionally converse, mostly ignore. Is there a thread about how terribly some people take silent rejection? Some are defensive in the very first note, with messages like "if u don't respond, that's cool w/e" or "ur prolly just gonna ignore this. oh well" haha.

If your a guy thats good at playing women at the bars you will bag them (a sun fish) in no time here.

The demographics are pretty much the same as you would find at any bar or club, if your looking at the 20-35 range. Im sure its different for older people but im not in that scene.

Now, you also have a small number of people you would never see at a bar or many public places. These people are trying to look through an equally small amount of people they might get along with, that arent into the mainstream type of lifestyle that the majority accepts as the way to live their life. This is the kind of person I AM LOOKING FOR and its hard as hell to find them.

Basically what im trying to say is if your a rock bass or a sunfish (common fish) then your going to get lots of catches. But if your looking for the large mouth bass in a lake polluted with sunfish and other undesireable fish, your going to be throwing back a ton of undesireable fish.

Yeah I came up with that metaphor while thinking of fishing at a lake at a cottage. the lake was just full of sun fish and we would have to catch 20+ of them and throw them back jsut to get one bass ( thats worth eating) If you arent a picky person and are ok eating a sun fish, then you have no trouble finding a partner.

Wait until summer when the fish are jumping or in December. People having time to date is a big factor.

I personally have been holding my pole for a long time. Be nice to have someone else hold it with me.

It seems it's a man's job to be the fisher and the woman's job to sit there looking pretty and be caught (if she so chooses). We must enjoy and take pleasure in the fishing, whether we catch anyone or not.

So far, I've only been on one in-person date with a really nice, sexy woman, but she didn't feel we "clicked", so she gave up after one date (give me time, honey--takes me one date to feel comfortable--I was just getting warmed up). Had some nice nibbles from other ladies who I wasn't into physically but I found them very nice friends, and was in communication from someone long-distance who happened to fancy me, who I was clear with and explained that, because of the distance, any hope for any romantic interlude is probably not going to happen, which she understood. She since got tired of the whole internet thing and decided to take a break from it (said I was cool but other guys were too clingy). Either way, I think I've got a new friend there, so our exhausting messaging 'twasn't a total waste of time...!

Sunfish are an easy catch. Pesky things.

A good small-mouth bass, well, that takes a bit more time and patience.

Walleye, though...even moreso.

Easier for women?? I guess I didn't get this memo.

Let me know when it's suppose to be easier, I'll get online at that time.

I'm still fishing and no nibble yet.

Hmm. Let's see. How long will it take? OK. I've just developed a new equation to determine how long it will take me to catch a fish. Now, this is my 3rd time around the pond. The first two times nothing happened. Now I take into consideration my current foray into the waters. Then I put all that information into the equation and the answer is...457 years before I catch me a fish. Now wouldn't that be a record?

please guys don`t get "hooked" on this site alone, get outside ! meeting girls face to face has a loooot better chance of "catching" or "swimming with someone" as some refer here, join a dance class, music, painting, language, any class ! even esl :) , actually the best thing we can do is go on a trip, pack your things and buy an all inclusive ticket, book a hostel in another country and you will meet tons of people everyday, if you depend on this site alone to meet someone you will come down crushing in flames like a ww2 plane, ladies are here for many different reasons, not to be too judgmental, but attention seeking/entertainment is a large part of the motivation, so get out of the still waters !

Meeting someone is not hard if you're relatively attractive.

Meeting someone -good- is hard for anyone. Period.
