| We should ALL admire George Bush Posted: 9/28/2009 4:58:16 PM | I'm setting here, thinking how to make my response into a 5 word slogan.
"The Emperor Wears No Clothes"
is the best I can come up with ~
predicated on the notion that only truly bright and intelligent people might be able to see the fine threads created by the loom of a trickster commission to weave the emperor beautiful cloths.
Everyone agreed his garment most beautiful to behold as he paraded about the Shire for all to see.
It took the words of a child, to wake everyone up and see.
"The Emperor wears no cloths! "
>>>Why is it every thread about Bush people have to comment about Obama?.....lol<<<
I don't know why you did that? They were talking about Gomer.

Why do you think Health Care is Obama's Main Focus right now? Truth be told, we have no clue what the "main focus" of any President is. We only know that Obama's health care plan is the main focus of the MEDIA right now.
Just because FOX NEWS reports on this issue more than any other political issue right now doesn't mean it's the most important issue there is. And if you think it is, then perhaps you need to stop letting others think for you.

yeah that would be as opposed to the last president who when faced with two wars and a massive national disaster went on vacation. (and took a record number of days of vacation during the ensuing years. ) where was the outrage then?

| We should ALL admire George Bush Posted: 10/1/2009 6:27:36 AM | I heard the City of Chicago could use the work ~ perhaps I heard wrong. I've heard people say Chicago is an arm pit, I was disappoint to hear some things. I always envision it to be a great city, rich in history both viberant and seedy.
If people don't try and don't care, many great cites can easily fall to decay. Each city , each state , each country looks to it's leadership to see this doesn't happen.
How many "good teams" with a "bad coach" can you remember?
I grew up in a small town with old leadership that hated change. Down Town rolled up the sidewalks at 8 pm. Mayberry! All their eggs in one basket, the Santa Fe Railroad.
Things must change ~ or all the young leave for better opportunities elsewhere.
The mark of Good leadership is it never misses a good opportunity.

So true what a retarded thing to do during a recession, attempt to bring billions of dollars into the state of Illinois.
...and what was he thinking partnering up with the most influential women in America.
Yeah this guy needs to shake his head and start taking some well needed vacation time like his predecessor did.
Then and only then he will have a chance to live up to such a stellar legacy.

BECK SAID VANCOUVER LOST $1 BILLION WHEN IT "HAD THE OLYMPICS..............
The White House answered Beck....
RHETORIC: BECK SAID VANCOUVER LOST $1 BILLION WHEN IT "HAD THE OLYMPICS." Glenn Beck said, "Vancouver lost, how much was it? they lost a billion dollars when they had the Olympics." [Transcript, Glenn Beck Show, 9/29/09]
REALITY: VANCOUVER'S OLYMPICS WILL NOT TAKE PLACE UNTIL 2010. Vancouver will host the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games from February 12 - 28, 2010 and March 12-21, 2010, respectively. [Vancouver2010.com, accessed 9/29/09]
The White House's pointed critique of Fox News and Beck culminates with the statement, "For even more Fox lies, check out the latest "Truth-O-Meter feature from Politifact,"

I truly admire Bush, it is indeed a miracle that he stayed in office for 8 years. Obama elected president, big deal, it had to happen someday, but Bush it truly a miracle.
Don't you agree? The OP is being sarcastic.

| We should ALL admire George Bush Posted: 10/5/2009 1:55:20 AM | Paleo conservatives don't like Bush. Bush was more like a leftist then a conservative. "War on terrorism" is about as worthless as War on drugs, poverty Etc. Why conservatives rally and defend the status quo of conservatism boggles the mind.

Does it seem to others that he seems to be in hiding? Has retreated with his tail between his legs kind of thing? I haven't heard a word about him or seen anything in the press about him since the innauguration. Then you must have not watched the news much after the innauguration. Obama had a series of luch meetings with Bush within a couple of weeks after the innauguration and even admitted that he gained intight as to the "real" reason why Bush attacked Iraq after 9-11.
But all in all, I don't thick it is so much that Bush is in hiding, but that no one is asking for his opinion. Even Bill Clinton has made consulting visits to the White House in the past few months. But Obama's campaign promise to instill "change" cannot be taken seriously if he is following advice from our last president. So it's best that he just keep Bush at a distance.

| We should ALL admire George Bush Posted: 10/5/2009 3:04:39 AM | | True conservatives didn't like bush at all. Conservatism is small government and low taxes. Just a few. Bush was a Progressive. | |
|
| We should ALL admire George Bush Posted: 10/5/2009 11:58:43 AM | | I feel he was a "neo-conservative", rather than what they sometimes refer to as a "true conservative" or "paleo-conservative". I agree however that Bush's time in office turned out to not look very conservative in the sense of traditional or "paleo"-conservatism at least. | |
|
| We should ALL admire George Bush Posted: 10/5/2009 12:39:13 PM | The "real conservatives" keep moving the bar further and further to the right with every compromising politician of the left. Hell, they considered Clinton and Obama to be radical left, when they are in fact extremely center, and so far from Progressive as to be laughable, if it were not so sad. Calling lil Bush "Progressive" considering his fascist tendencies and actions is the ultimate in moving the bar. I guess Glen Beck will soon be the next Progressive standard for which the far right to rail against as too soft, and not conservative enough. | |

| We should ALL admire George Bush Posted: 10/5/2009 12:48:51 PM | | Msg 145, I agree. Personally though, I think Obama's personal leanings, if you will, are a bit more to the left than the way he has been actually governing. I think he was perhaps sort of "mugged by reality" upon arrival in Washington, D.C.. Reading some of his sentiments in his earlier book(s) is what makes me think that; in fact it's why I voted and campaigned for him in the first place, but in all actuality he's governing not really anymore to the left from the Clinton admin, IMO. Very moderate, very centrist. On top of that he and his admin are (obviously I guess) very slow and deliberate about making decisions, his mien is more like that of a professor (perhaps crossed with a diplomat or ambassador), and he seems to be to be the kind of guy who really likes to try to "please everyone" in so far as that's possible. | |

Major increase in government, Amnesty to Illegal Aliens, Tax cuts without cutting government. Not securing the Texas border when Governor.
I don't think so. he was not in touch with real conservatives. He was just closer than the Idiot Gore and the Chicken shit Kerry who ran from every fight in Nam, only to come back when the fight was over. Bush was groomed to be President by the Skull and Bones. There IMHO have been only two Presidents not to be appointed by secret societies. Reagan and Ike. Even Jimmy the Hemorrhoid Carter was put in power by the Tri Laterals. Obama ran in the middle to get elected. Lied thru his teeth. Truth of the matter is he is far left. Soros runs his agenda.
All politicians right now are like the Culture Club song. "See the chameleon, Lying there in the sun, all things to every one, Run Run Away.
Come on America quit being led like a bull with rings in your noses. Our country is going down the toilet and all anybody cares about is that there party is in control. We are all getting screwed and being laughed at by the ***hole politicians who keep getting richer of of our dime. They all leave office millionaires. So who are the stupid ones?

And he apologized the next day. He made a mistake he really meant to say Calgary. he made a retraction and at least he was honest and admitted that. I watched the show. To bad the White House and Congress cant be the same way. Funny how the far left loons are not held to the same standards. Kinda hypocritical isn't it?
