I find them incredibly unattractive on men and women. What was cute and made you a rebel at 20 when you were out drinking at 50, 60, 70 is going to look abysmal. The fact that someone has 40 of them to me is indicative of psychological problems. I have no scientific basis for this, just ancillary evidence from people I knew with lots of tattoos. They were ALL messed up in one way or another and could not function in day to day society. | |

Posted: 5/1/2009 12:04:58 PM | Man, I am actually quite surprised that there are not more guys into girls with tattoos, someone whom had posted brought up "playboy" for some reasons, I don't really remember exactly why, but there are also in my opinion a lot of beautiful girls, who do have a lot of tattoos that appear in suicide girls.
If you look at my profile, you will be able to see both of my tattoos that do, have a lot of sentimental meaning, to me but I am sure as I am male this, might be different, my main point is that these can be the case at times, and one might lead to ignorant judgments.
As far as being closed minded, goes I also believe it's all in how one says, this or that and remember we are only able to see, the words as pixels, so it may also appear to come off as something, that it is not. | |

It may not be right but there is also a long standing social prejudice that exists which implies that those with tattoos are of a lower class. Don't shoot the messenger, it exists. I personally don't agree and have many friends and family members with tattoos.
While I have seen some tasteful tattoos, and ones that have personal meaning, the tramp stamp and boob tatts are disgusting and worthy of the social stigma. | |

But as far as the OP who started this thread goes. 40 tats in all' Boob tats including the nips............ She may not have realized it or meant for it to but it screams mental problems or freak or both. That's enough to make even a guy with tats think twice about getting involved with her. not to mention it's hard to bring a girl covered with tats to public places and events which are "classy" and not NASCAR related. Church? Family functions??

hmmmm back to thread... my ex bf, who loves a woman naked when having some loving (as opposed to women in basques etc) used to say that if she has a tattoo she can never be completely undressed!
But for all that it is a matter of choice...my daughter has tattoos... in fact she hid the first one from me for ages till she forgot about it when we shared a shower room in her halls of residence! Don't they say everything comes out in the wash?  | |

It's definitely something that is an expression of personality. Some men might think that it's extravagant or they simply don't understand why women might do it. Women have always been viewed as being conformists. Trying to blend with society.
I think that by a women going out and having tattoos, it's saying that she's not the norm. That being said, I think that really only applies for women with a lot of tattoos. I don't think I guy is really concerned about a girl having a tramp stamp or a tattoo on her ankles. It's the ones that having a large amount of ink.
Either way, if they don't like it, then that's fine. They don't have to.

Well, darlin, if you wanna get REALLY picky and start flinging sh** like an alpha ape, I didn't SAY it, I typed it. So if you're hearing things, consult a psychiatrist.
It seems obvious that neither group is attracted to or likes the other so we're safe from one another. The difference is you rarely will see a women whining about men not liking tats. You just see the guys b****ing about how unattractive they find it and making unflattering assumptions about the women (like that's gonna bring hordes of women to to beat down the doors to their parents' basements) so apparently they feel they ARE missing out on something... like a woman with a mind and life of her own that you can't control. Poor babies!
And it's bad form to nit-pick about typos. I believe it's fairly obvious I have strong vocabulary and spelling skills. But if that's all you got and you took your best shot, your****is still too short. | |

"Nice" people, educated, upstanding citizens did not get tattoos.
Right or wrong, that's what tattoos represented where I grew up, though that attitude is beginning to change. | |

But as for you' If you don't like it that a lot of guy see tats as nasty and down grading to woman you can always leave the thread. The lady ask a question. None of us have done nothing but answer her question honestly. If you don't like it you don't have to hang around. Yes' It's her personal choice if she want's to become a human ink blot. But when you come to these forums and you ask a question such as this you have opened the door for other peoples opinions. By asking here she made her business millions of peoples business. Posted: 5/2/2009 2:10:47 AM | i have a couple and plans for a couple more.... i think they are cool and as with any other form of expressing yourself, it shows a person's character/personality (whatever that may be).... for example, my ex refused to even consider getting one and would not date someone who has one (i so wish i had gotten mine before i met her !!!)... this "closed minded" trait was clearly displayed throughout our relationship... not saying that all who dont like tats are close minded, just that how people choose to express themselves is directly related to their personality....
back to the tats thing.... i like them in women... so long as they dont represent your set, clique and you didnt get it in the Pen.... | |

To hell with what others think, sometimes, people need to take a look into their own closet before they judge others. Just because you got tats doesn't make you inhuman/bad person, just more colorful and beautiful. I have a tat which I got when my youngest was born, so my taz is 21 years old. I'm proud of it, been with me longer than any relationship I've ever had. He's my buddy thru and thru LOL And besides, people get tats on them as they represent a part of themselves or a life's journey or in memory of a loved one.
LOL; what a ridiculous post; again, so lets say there is a guy that has a scar that is on his face; are you going to date him? no; you want a better looking guy; in your shallow world isn't that judgemental? no it's not; it's about preference.
Attraction plays a part in a relationship; FOR ME, I am not attracted to it. Do I care that they get them; no.
My best friend has more tats on him than most of you combined; he owns a shop. I love him; he's the man; but I think his tats are gross. lol; does he cry down the street, "i'm being judged, OMG poor me, he doesnt' like my tats!". LOL; OMG
So many of you are so insecure; sorry but your mommy's and daddy's may have spoiled you and told you everything you do is incredible but they can't save you in the real world; you are going to find people that dont accept what you have and do but they still accept you. thats what life is about.

If you people are tired of reading things like this instead of whining about how many times you have read threads like this and offer your lame response about checking first, then don't bother reading and save your crappy advice. OK, now OP, I think you will find that is a varied subject, there are lots of men that love tats on women, and there are many that do not, I for one think if done tatesfully tats on women are totally hot! But again, you will find men that do not like just like you will find women that do not like them on men either, it's all a matter of personal preferance. | |

Its interesting to see how my former playboy playmate of a cousin gets a reaction with all her tattoos. She never had any tattoos until she was 28. Men and women would always look at her and want her. Then she started getting tattoos. Now people could care less. Her tats are all flowers, and dolphins. She's even been noticing the reaction some people give her at her tattoos and she's regretting getting the 10 that she has.
Her and millions of others regret there tats. No telling how many on this thread regret there's if the truth be known. I wouldn't be afraid to bet that if the truth be known a lot of the older folks that are either reading this thread ' But not participating in it regret there's right along with ones who are participating but there pride keeps them from saying so. The young 20/30 somethings who think it's cool' Well' One day will not think the same way. Ever year we get older we see things in a different light. One day they will' If they haven't already' But right now it's cool' The thing to do' It has special meaning to them. For a lot of them one day they will look back and think about it and realize that being permanently inked for the reason they chose was really no reason at all.
