and to the newbies to POF camping...the last camp out was my first and I was totally comfortable and they are a great bunch of people, hope you come out and meet us. Might want to stow some gear in your trunk in case you decide to stay on, we can kinda grow on you ya know  | |

Simple to find and the fastest and easiest route is to head north past Nanaimo, stay on the Inland highway until you reach the Qualicum Beach turn off... take the exit right but stay in the left lane and follow the route that says PORT ALBERNI Highway 4. It loops under the over pass and then you go to the first set of lights about 2 km's ( It's a T in the road) TURN LEFT. The campground is about 1/2 a km down on your LEFT.
Butterfly World is across the road from it.
However IF you want the scenic route through Coombs... at the Parksville exit ( #51), exit right but again stay in the left lane. Turn LEFT, go UNDER the overpass and up the hill,... that is now Alberni highway... drive on through to Coombs,( about 8 km's??), the campsite about 1.5 Km's past the Coombs Market and is on your Right. If you come to the intersection with the lights you went too far.

I prefer those looking for a destination look for road signs not rubberneck scenically HAHAHAHA This is why I sent people the OTHER way around too heh heh heh ... gives them something to "look" forward to during the weekend. | |
