| VANCOUVER ISLAND CAMPING #2!!! MAY 22-24, 2009 Posted: 5/20/2009 7:37:49 PM | ^^^^^^^^^^ ok back up the gravy train. I was there at 8:50 AM THIS morning talking to Nancy's husband ,Jackie is her Mum and you may have misinterpreted what she meant. I am on the phone to Nancy as I type this (it's now 7:30 PM) and WE ARE BOOKED AS A GROUP!!
and NO they do not take reservations for group campsites. so SAY WHAT? YES!! YES!! YES!! they do!!! perhaps they meant there are NO spots available for this weekend as they are ALL ALREADY BOOKED IN MY NAME. All you need to do when you check in is say you are with the POF group and they'll know where to send you... sure you have to choose from the sites 80-87 ( I have 85 and 86 isn't available) EVERYONE WILL be sharing sites, as I originally posted on page one, that 2-3 RV's PER SITE can be done as there are only 7 sites. The tenting area is HUGE so no worries everyone sites 80 and 81 would be best for the tenters. ( flattest grassy area etc.) I am going up Thursday morning ( tomorrow) first thing as check in time can be anytime because the sites are empty at this time ( that is why I went to check this morning and talk to the owners) For those who have lap tops and can't live without them they DO have wireless.
IF anyone has any questions from tomorrow at 8 AM on you'll have to message my co-host LOW FLYING OBJECT as I won't have a computer. SEE YOU ALL SOON!!!!!!!!

| VANCOUVER ISLAND CAMPING #2!!! MAY 22-24, 2009 Posted: 5/20/2009 11:27:29 PM | I am looking forward to seeing you all there. I have never been to a POF gathering but have heard it is a hoot!
I am not sure how to get the word out to all that is signed up but here goes...please bring along any percussion items that you would like. Drums, Bells, Woods, Chimes..etc.
No experience necessary for sure!!! Rhythm Church on Sunday Morning..or Afternoonish...? But not too late. I am going to the Belly Dance Superstars on Sunday Eve.
A great sounding drum is a water jug cut..the nose off and round about four inches off. You can also customize it personally, spray paint..or bring 2 spoons anything that you can play!!! Let's have some fun!!! O'Sala No snare drums please. Please bring Your Spirit!!!

| VANCOUVER ISLAND CAMPING #2!!! MAY 22-24, 2009 Posted: 5/20/2009 11:53:29 PM | ^^^ Only percussion items? Thinking of the already-established redneck theme... perhaps a metal washtub bass? Can't you picture Cousin Billy-Bob plucking that one string?
I remember my parents had one of those washtubs. Mom washed my diapers in it after she hauled up water from the creek, so long ago.
Maybe I can find an ice-cream bucket.
Please bring Your Spirit!!! From reading some posts I don't think there will be a shortage of spirits, wine or beer, though there may not be so much left by Sunday.

Y'all have to message LFO ( low flying object) now if you need to reach me or get answers about anything. Remember the Saturday scavenger hunt is at 2PM and the potluck to follow, BYOM ( meat) and a side dish.

MAY 22-24, 2009 Posted: 5/21/2009 8:04:45 AM | ummm me.... thanks... but I will be on my way there tomorrow also not sure the time, depends on when my gimpy body will let me get everything into the car..lol... before supper maybe before lunch... you never know... but I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend in the hot tub even if I have to wear a skort and top as my shoulder doesn't seem to want any pressure on it still...ummm guess that is the redneck thing to do anyhow...lol...
ps... I do have the scavenger list under lock and key.... and nope can't be bribed....allergies to chocolate, and umm I don't drink... some redneck eh....lol

| VANCOUVER ISLAND CAMPING #2!!! MAY 22-24, 2009 Posted: 5/21/2009 7:22:45 PM | I'm gettin super excited now..yay! One more sleep... gotta dig out them REd Neck Decorations... haha.... I"m thinking Cousin Billy Bob will be making an appearance as well! For a small fee... I'm sure he will share his seeds with those that request it! lol When Billy Bob plants his seeds...he uses beer to water em...so be sure you have beer to allow your seeds to germinate with Cousin Billy Bob!
GET R DONE! Bringing a new Red Neck with Me... go easy on her...of course she too can hold her own like Bubbles did last camp out... We will have to think of a name for her as she used to be on POF but deleted her profile a while back...now she's back for some fun! She is quite the camper and hiker...so for those that are interested in Hiking... She and Affable One will be going for a hike either Saturday or Sunday...depending on their Red Neck Hang Overs!
