How in the world did you guys limit yourselves to only five?! I'm going to cheat and list five of my favorite contemporary directors, how's that?

Cameron -- Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss...
Scott -- Blade Runner, White Squall, Black Hawk Down...
Besson -- La Femme Nikita, Fifth Element, Leon...
Mann -- Heat, The Insider, Collateral...
Nolan -- Insomnia, The Prestige, The Dark Knight...

Also Anything by Hitchc0ck. And anything with Humphrey Bogart. Any of the recent Jane Austen adaptations, too.

The Untouchables, Chinatown, Monty Python & the Holy Grail, Wolf, Double Indemnity, Bull Durham, Casablanca, The Magnificent Seven, Duck Soup, Wall Street, High Noon, The Black Stallion, Gattaca, An Officer and a Gentleman, Fight Club, Finding Nemo, Silence of the Lambs...

Good Lord. I can't choose.

This isn't exactly an easy question but I'd have to go with something like

Braveheart
Star Trek 2 The Wrath of Khan or First contact
Joe's Apartment
LOTR [the books though were much better]
The 6Sense

An odd assortment for sure.
