Posted: 10/16/2004 4:51:05 AM | I have the same thing happening with me. I have simply asked those that are younger then me why they chose to contact me, here's a few of the responces I have received:
They're more experienced sexually.
Older women are more stable.
They already know where there heading in life.
They know how to carry themselves properly.
They have more class.
They are already settled in life, with job and career.
They're not afraid to be themselves.
They are past playing games.
Maturity level meets the guys better. (not all giggles and goofy)
These are just a few of the most popular answers I have received. Don't be afraid to just ask the guy what his reason is... I have found they love the idea that your intrigued by their reasons.
They don't realize however that their maturity level for an older women is stacked against them. As you have said conversations and communication with a younger guy almost always is lacking for the older woman. I know I hardly ever have much in common with younger guys, and what we do have is usually more physical and sexual, talk always returns back to them asking or saying something along those lines, and let's face it, that is only about 10 % of healthy relationships, and it just isn't enough to base a lifetime with another person on.
I always tell them I am flattered but I have managed to raise one husband who is now with someone else, and just not interested in raising another. :) Hope this helps you. Pam | |

Posted: 10/16/2004 7:02:36 AM |  That's All ?  You must be drinking! I think YOU are completely going on what YOU thought of older women. I know many young men that wanted to spend eternity and a day with me.  It just would not work because of the differences in age and things we had in common. I felt it would not be totally successful. You may not realize it, but many young men want more then money and sex from an older woman. Just because YOUR mind was/is in that mode, does not mean every guy is. (See my other posted message on this question). As for the money issue. Young men are also successful, and do not need the material gain of an older woman.  And to generalize all women as stingy is just wrong, I don't have much, but what I do have I share with those I love/loved. I am in no way stingey and take great offense to your whole answer on this question.  There is more to me then my age, my sexual experience and my money. Most men know this and are looking for security of knowing that an older woman will love them and accept them as they are, are not as easily to go astray from a relationship, will not be greedy.  To sum it up We Older LADIES have a lot to offer and most young men are wanting the whole us, not just a few areas. You make the statement easy sex... That implies that because i may be 5, 10 or more years older then a guy I am dating, I/We will give it up easily.  Not true. Know what YOUR talking about before you ASSUME all men are like YOU. You have managed to make an a$$ of u and tried to of me. Let's not forget that the girls of today are more "giving" then the older generation. We older ladies have been there and done that and know that sex isn't the thread that binds forever. Where a younger (not all) woman will try to keep her man by giving him what he wants sexually. YOUR message tells us all why exactly you are single. Any woman in her right mind does not want a man with beliefs such as yours. We Will AVOID men like you at all costs. | |

This is not about what women see in younger men but what younger men see in us. Don't question my intelligence until YOU have closely looked at YOUR own. Same age men and older men generally expect sex right away. Younger men TEND not to. As for them being our age in a few years, figure this out in your head. WE DON"T CATCH UP TO EACH OTHER IN AGE.  We will always be older then they are.... HELLO!! Is anyone home up there ? Not to mention we older ladies can spot the sex game alot faster then younger ladies can. YOU think we're all so stupid that we can't see what a mans true intentions are. Men can not hide it well. Remember we have had a few more years of dealing with mens BS then our younger sisters have. | |

I have been attracted to older women cause well to be honest they had a stability that I needed at that time abnd I had a respect for them . they were very straight forward about everything and I could talk to them about anything . They didnt get freaked out when I told them what was on my some times screwed up mind . They sure as hell didnt seem needy "I was" LOL .
I think any guy who would attempt to get some one in to the sack who was vulnerable and needy is a F***ING PATHETIC DIRT BAG any way .
But me ; to be honest I think the best relationships occur for me with ladies that are my age or younger . | |

I find a lot of men my own age, slightly younger and older to be sort of dead inside. They just don't appear to have that inner fire and zest for life that has always been a mainstay in my life. The ironic thing is give these younger guys a few year and their fires will probably go out to, unless we're really good at fanning the flames! Its funny though, I'm usually quite insulted when a man more than 10 years my senior expresses an interest in me...ironically it seems opportunistic to me. The older men can date very young women and its fine and dandy but god forbid a woman dare! Atta girl Demi Moore! | |
