I have two other my my own:
1. saying they are looking for a nice girl when in the end they don't care as long as the score or so they think
2. Saying they are single instead of divorced, when you can see thier wedding pic

Hardly anyone fills it in and then they just ignore your message. If you have requirements say so then others won't waste their time writing to you. | |

Just about everyone that says that is divorced or seperated. Tell me they have no baggage. Gee I wonder why they are divorced or seperated!!!!!!! Of course they could blame it on their spouse, but if the spouse did something they shouldn't of according to him/or her, then why did she/or he do it in the first place? | |

The looking for long term profiles where everything is "Prefer not to say" , there are no pics and for hobbies /interests says "many".
People who claim to be teachers and use "I am an indapendent women" both spelling and grammatical errors..... apparently they are not an English teacher.
Larger women claiming to have an "Athletic build" but have pictures that show to the contrary.
Old pictures of how they "used to look".
Pictures of children.... get them off this site! Be proud you have children but stop showing pictures!
People who show pictures of their dogs... I am not here to date your dog.
People who put pictures of them in a bra and panties, yet want email/chat... but you better not be looking for sex! ( I honestly don't have problems with the pictures of being in a bra and panties:-).... just find it ironic...
People who use web cam blurry pictures, or have pictures of them with 20 other people and no indication of who they are.... but have a description of "I have brown hair",,,, unfortunately so do 8 other people in the picture.
People with no picture, yet have a restriction that you need a picture to message this person.
Bitter people.
Women in their late 30's - early 40's with "undecided" for wanting children. I would hope that since their biological clocks are starting to click a bit, a major decision like this would have been established by now. | |

The so called people who think someones spelling is more important then anything !
Lo0k if your worried about how someone posted their profile and theres a spelling mistake I got one thing to say to you people!
Get the F off your dead horse as it died years ago !
Any Piss Head thinking someones spelling is a most important thing in someones profile is nothing but a sick worthless A with out a hole !
And also when you ad in these same professional spellers never post their pic either is another thing thats at my Top pet peeves list.
I'm a two finger typest for one and no I didn't take typing in High school. And if I hit the wrong key who the F cares as long as my message is what it is about!
#2PEEVE : You so called professional's who think your gods gift !LOL
Look I have more degrees then alot of people on here! I know if you lost your job tommorrow you'd be crying ! Me I would be taking a vacation and then maybe get back to work at something else .
And I don't care if you like my direct in your face personality or not !!
Most of you need to get the hell off line and get into the real world and date someone for a change instead of using the internet as an excuse not to meet someone.

Long profiles that explain EVERYTHING about the person drive me nuts: likes, dislikes, goals, dreams, first date map, favourite places, colours, breeds of dog, etc. If I ever get to the end of these long, tedious profiles, it leaves me with nothing to ask -- it's all been covered -- nothing to learn that's new about the person -- it's all been said. Find me a profile that leaves things unsaid, things said but not completed, things that prompt me to ask, and those are the people that I have reason to write, something to ask them.
This is just my opinion, of course ... others will think differently, I'm sure.

- Women who say they want someone down to earth, loyal, caring and honest. Who doesnt want this? Ive yet to see one that say someone out of this world, who will cheat on me, who could care less who i am and will lie to me at every possible turn...stop saying the obvious and state what you want for a change.
Obviously you dont want a uncaring liar who cheats...this is obvious girls...
- Women who say they arent shallow, see your pic and message and then delete your message without a reply. If you arent shallow, why delete without a response?
- Women who say they dont smoke then when you meet them you find out their pothead and smokers. Hey it doesnt bother me, but its misleading. Honesty is a huge thing for me, and those little white lies turn me right off.
- Women with 100 favorites...seems like the profile is more like a 1-976 number then a dating profile...
Thats my top 5 theres more but ill end it there | |

#2 Posting one picture from 4 years ago....
I think everyone should have 4 or 5 pictures and change them every 6 months.....
Digital camera's make this quick and easy....
After all it is a "Dating Site" and I don't think it's shallow to want to see some pictures of someone that's contacted you and I think anyone serious about meeting someone and really want to meet someone, would post some pictures.... I've noticed that a large % of the women in my city don't post any....
But that's just me.. | |

Posted: 6/10/2008 8:02:25 AM | First off...I have a long profile...but trust me, there's LOTS more to me than what I wrote. I just keep adding to it based on certain types of guys who message me. If I'm getting a lot of messages from a certain type of guy that I don't want to attract, I'll add another thing...I should shorten it up again though...
OT: My #1 pet peeve is all the lies! I've met a few guys who said they weren't smokers, but when I said I wanted to go out for a smoke they pull out a pack a puff away! When I ask them why it said 'non-smoker' on their profiles....they say it's because more women prefer non-smokers....so right there I know that I'm dealing with someone who lies to get what they want, and won't be themselves, but will adjust to fit the person they're with. The date usually ends pretty quickly after that.
#2 Height...I do understand that while some women will lie about their size, some men will lie about their height, but come on!!! If you put that you're 5'10 and we meet and you're shorter than me (5'4) ?!?!?! Everyone wants honesty but no one is truthful. Even though my profile is like a book, at least I worte the truth about everything! No surprises when/if we do meet.
And like I said earlier, there's SOOOO much more to me than what I wrote in my profile. I'm 33 and have had a very interesting life! | |
