| Why is there so little dating between white men and black women?

I'm in one of the smallest minorities in the freakin world - 3-4% world-wide.
I'm often selected against. Guess I could claim some kind of "-ism." But I doubt it would make me anymore attractive, most likely- less so, going around toting victim baggage.

I do get messages from white men but they still have to be attractive to me and in shape physically just like any other man I might be in interested in but I really haven't had contact from those types yet. | |

Posted: 8/21/2009 10:31:35 AM | When I was in 7th grade a big black Jamaican girl beat me up. I'm sure that changed how I viewed black girls when it comes to dating. 8P
I know it affected me sub-conciously because I simply find black women more aggressive and domineering even if they act normally. 8( Stupid child-hood traumas. | |

Posted: 8/21/2009 2:07:42 PM | She was simply a bully that bullied others. I was easily half her size and I was a bit of a geek back in junior high. A bad experience in your childhood affects how you view people later on whether you like it or not. I'm being honest here and just doing a self-analysis as to why I don't find black women AS attractive as other women(asian, latinos, white, indian, etc).
I see where you are from and why you'd assume that it would be something to do with racism. However, where I grew up it was a FAR different place than in the southern states. I went to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ridgemont_High_School_(Ottawa) where Somalians and Middle Easterners (particularly Lebanon and Iran) easily outnumbered what you would classify as "white" people.
Regardless, I don't want to turn this too much into a justification but you have to be aware that a young positive/negative experiences can change what you view or don't view as attractive.
Personally, if I had a preference it would be latin women. I'd take a latin lady over a white girl any day. Colombian, Venezuelan, and Brazilian women are gorgeous! And maybe that to has to do with a positive experience involving a latin girl when I younger. I just don't remember it.  | |
