If the lakers play like they did last night, houston doesnt have a chance...

In game 4 the lakers were lazy and bored, they looked like they just didnt want to be there...

Im a nugget fan, trust me...I hate the lakers..but if the lakers play like last night, they are the best team in the west...

I think my nuggets can give them a run for the money, but its tough to outscore the lakers when there entire starting 5 can score and score well....and if bynum plays like he suppose to, then they will give the cavs a run...

Lets go Nuggets tonight, lets shut up that little baby cuban and head on to the western conference finals...

If they matchup, LA/Denver will be one heck of a series! Kobe is the best, but Denver seems to be a lot tougher as a team. It will be great skill against great toughness.

Kobe time.

If the lakers play like they did against Houston, Denver will win the series.

The lakers got lazy and thought they could win with there jersey against the rockets, they have to play well to beat the nuggets...

I am a nuggets fan, couple things have to happen for us to beat the lakers(yes im assuming they will beat the rockets)

Odom, Gasol, and Bynum is an advantage over Martin, Nene, and Birdman. We just have to be physical with them...we all know Kobe doesnt like contact, so we have to keep bugging him to go after shots he doesnt want.

I still think the lakers will win cause thats what David Stern wants is a Kobe, and Lebron final, but if the game gets called correctly, then yes, my nuggets will have a shot.

Yes we know that all teams are cheated by the refs when their team does not advance. Why do so many people watch when they are convinced the game is fixed?

One thing is for sure... The Lakers better find themselves.... They really do have a lack of intensity... they can't play every other game and not show up at the others. It might get them past Houston on Sunday.... But Denver and the Finals will be a different story.

I watch the games for the possibility of a good competitive game. Unfortunately, I will say I can't watch certain referees officiate games because they're just so biased it's just painful to watch. As an example, I couldn't watch the Celtics Christmas day game because I knew the outcome. I literally turned to my brother and said "Remember my prediction about how the Celtics win this game, the ref assignment makes me change my mind. Lakers win." Low and behind, who won? You guessed it. The Lakers. And it was partly because of Steve Javie, which by the way for all you gamblers out there, check the ref. assignments on NBA.com the day of the Lakers game 7. If you see Steve Javie is one of the refs for the Lakers game, go all in and bet on the Lakers, it'll be the easiest money you ever made. But anyway, on this game, the Lakers better find themselves quickly because the uninspired game they played in Game 6 isn't going to win Game 7.

its no big secret that david stern wants the lakers and cavs in the finals, It would be a ratings bonanza.

The lakers not playing well, and my nuggets only losing one game is probably giving stern a heartattack. The nuggets somehow got labeled "the thuggets", which I guess if you play hard nosed physical bball, thats what you are...whatever...

anyway, I really hope the lakers will play us like they are playing houston, lazy and uninspired, then my nuggets will be playing for a nba championship...

of course, if the refs let kobe do what he wants, and not let the nuggets be physical, then we have no shot..

- at no time in nba history, have there been more fans believing in the conspiracy theories, I've seen enough. Den vs Cle? Stern would have a heart attack, possibly lower than spurs ratings.

If you dont think the league has a love affair with the lakers, go check out the 2002 game 6 between the lakers and the kings...

the lakers shot 27 free throws in the 4th quarter..and all the big men for the kinds were in foul trouble...divac, webber, pollard..

one of the worst officaiting games I have ever seen..

Hey man,

Watch a game and see how some of them call games. One team can usually bring a baseball bat and hit the opponents over the head with it, (the Lakers), and get away with it. While the Lakers opponents as much as breathe on Kobe, and it's a foul. Last I heard giving someone the Swine flu wasn't in the NBA rulebook. And there are so many fans who believe in these conspiracy theories because Tim Donahue, yes I know not exactly a reliable source, says there are "company men" out there in the officials. And unfortunately, fans then look at the games, see how they are poorly called at times and see there might be some merit to his theory. I think if you did a marketing survey of NBA fans, most would say they watch games for the competitive games, not the players in the game or the biggest markets in the game.

Yep I remember that game. Another good example is Fisher's 3 point shot in less than a second or so to beat the Spurs a few years ago. I think it was 2005 or 2006. Let's face it the NBA's dream finals match up would be Knicks vs. Lakers.....no matter how one sided it would be.

This is just like our politics and religion here in America... The officials are not in the tank for Kobe or anyones else... It is only the extreme bias of the fans. If you love a team or player, you hate every call against them, if you hate a team or Player... you hate every call that isn't called on them and everyone one you think they should get.

I believe I see a lot of calls that are called or not called... for example that foul on Farmar against Brookes as Brookes dribbled down the sideline, just after Kobe's bogus Technical... Brookes threw his elbow towards Farmar, and Farmar even backed off to avoid contact, there was no foul, but the thing is, The officials have different angles and have a split second of judgement... They do the best they can.

People complain about the officials even the players complain, just because people like to complain.

Have to disagree Jack, the Lakers and Boston get preferential treatment, and I'm a lifelong Laker.

If you dont think the league has a love affair with the lakers, go check out the 2002 game 6 between the lakers and the kings...
- that is the game that Donohey admitted fixing.

Look, there are bad apples.... anyone can have alternative motives... Does this mean that the league, and officials are in the tank for any one or two teams?

Just because a ref wanted to make money on the side, You can't claim that the team, he was betting on in that game, is a team that gets preferential treatment throughout the league with the officials.

I'm not buying it.

Now, does the NBA want to see LA and Cleveland in the finals... I'm sure they would. It would be a big draw...

Someone told me last night the Lakers lost on purpose so they could have a game 7 at home and make the revenue of the extra home game... Seriously... Does anyone think LA would risk going on... to do that?

Jack,

Do I believe that David Stern tells the officials to keep kobe in the game? not to foul him out?...

of course not..

but I do believe that the officials KNOW that david stern wants kobe vs lebron in the finals, so I beleive it affects them someway...

Your not so blind to think that kobe and lebron get calls differently than the 9th guy coming off the bench....

Officials KNOW how many fouls are on each team, and will level them out througout the game...

I am just hoping the officials let the nuggets be physical with the lakers, if not, my nuggets dont have a chance

Your right, there are some stars that may get the benefit of the doubt over some players who come off the bench, with all teams.. Melo will get a better break than anyone else coming off the Denver bench.

If a guy drives and gets hacked by two players... They will a lot of the time not give the foul to the star, or a player in foul trouble. It's a judgment call, and yes some bias can be involved.

I'm not saying the League, and the officials are saints... far from it... They make a lot of mistakes... maybe even some on purpose? who knows...

But the officials are not going to be able to call games to create an outcome who plays in the finals.

I don't buy into that conspiracy.

I see it more as passionate fans who are wearing those bias goggles....

Again, this will be the biggest upset in Playoff history if the Rockets win tonite. There have been some great upsets, Nuggets over Sonics, Warriors over Mavericks, but I still say this will be the greatest, IF, the Rockets pull it off.

No Yao, no Tracy Mcgrady, but Von Wafer, Chuck Hayes, and Carl Landry? Hope they can pull it off, but it's going to be tough. I Expect to see the Lakers pull it out, and watch every close call (and even those not so close) go against the Rockets.

Was it just me or did Bryant just grab Artest above the shoulders? If so, that would be a flagrant foul on anybody else.

Keep in mind that the Nuggets beat a weak Dallas team. What was proven by running over an overrated Dallas team? Anything can happen. I see the Lakers winning in 7 games.

I think the Nuggets take the Lakers in 6. To much firepower, and lets face it, the Lakers are just not playing very well right now.

I wouldn't say the the Nuggets beat a weak Mavericks team either. The Mavs blasted the Spurs, and offensively Dallas could hang with anyone.

I know its a weak dallas team...thats why we beat them in 5!!!!....THAT IS MY POINT....
