Lakers did catch some luck with McGrady and Dikimbe out. Then Ming goes out. Rockets had no chance yesterday really.

we beat a dallas team in 5 games...we took care of business....the lakers got stretched 7 games to a team they should have beat in 5....

I know its a weak dallas team...thats why we beat them in 5!!!!....THAT IS MY POINT....

So in other words the Nuggets are an unknown commodity as they beat a weak Dallas team? In other words the Laker's will kill the Nuggets!

Everybody keeps saying Dallas was weak. The only two teams I would not bet some serious money on Dallas not being able to beat in a 7 game series are Cleveland, and of course Denver. I would have no problem at all betting this Mavericks team could take the Lakers in a 7 game series.

I wouldn't bet on this Mavs team being able to take out a healthy Houston team, but the way they were banged up, this Mavs would have had an easier time beating them then the Lakers did.

I have to be proud of my Rockets taking it to LA as hard as they did considering all they were missing. 7 games with no Yao after the third. And no Deke or McGrady. They did well.

I think they just caved to pressure in that last game. They weren't making anything. LA just played better. Gasol was on fire the whole game.

Although, I will say this. I don't think the Lakers are as tough as everyone expected them to be. The fact they had such a hard time putting us away makes me think Denver might actually be able to beat them.

Anyway, as long as it's not Kobe and Lebron in the finals, I'll be happy.

Overall, I've switched my allegience to Orlando for the time being since they've got Rafer Alston and he's still a Rocket to me.

As for the west..... GO NUGGETS!

You said;
Boston was #2 seed Mr. Obvious,

Let me say this real slowwwwwwwwwwwwwww for you weasel.
I said;
Yeah I know, Boston was a number one seed but lost to a 6th seed this year.
That didn't ring a bell to you I see. I thought you were intelligent enough to realize that I was taking about Boston the #1 seed in the NHL that lost to the 6th seed Carolina Hurricanes. But I know its very hard for you to be understanding anything at the same time after your tragic fall to your Boston teams. I recommend that you should be taking those meds your friends gave you after the two losses you had this year in the playoffs. Its OK just down the whole bottle of pills and wash it down with a beer. Oh, let me make this as clear as I can for you to comprehend, The Bruins lost and the Celtics lost in the playoffs this past month in May of this year of 2009.

Is that what you were, taking about, or was it talking about....It's funny how you insult my intelligence, but for me, I don't have to insult yours because you do it all by yourself. For your information, I'm not a Bruins fan....I could care less. You should know this because I know you check my profile and posts over a million times. Although, and I know this is what you would say is, at least Boston was in the playoffs and where was New York/New Jersey? Oh that's right, they were watering your Giants #1 seed in your backyard. That jock must be ripe enough to eat by now....You should share it with your neighbors, but we all know how selfish you are to share....Coma coma.

Did Youtube tell you this? Now you are being more specific....You said "Boston" in a basketball thread. You jump from one topic to another like a person who plays upside down musical chairs....Oouch!!! But we all know you always win that game....You da champ. It must be that competitive edge you got, you have to win it all.

Why take them? I rather make money and sell it in your neighborhood. New Jersey/New York has a high rate for addicktion and I go where the money is at.

Whats with you with Eli's Jock? You mention it over and over. Eat it if its ripe for you already.

You jump from one topic to another

So why is Eli's jock in a basketball thread?

addicktion

Can't get it out of your mind I see. Yes you do have an addiction to the subject of Eli's jock.

I thought you are a specialist in fertilizing #1 seeds/jocks....Whatever? Not that I'm trying to take away your love for upside down musical chairs....I'm just saying.

addicktion

I can't pass anything through you....Well, maybe a chair stand, but other than that you're quite clever. Are you one of the statistics that have this addicktion?

Anyway, back to the topic. Last nights game was quite disappointing to me. I like to see the Nuggets take it from the Lakers because I'm not a big fan of Kobe. Like Bronc said, FT was the reason the Lakers won last night. In addition, I liked the way Carmelo played hard against Kobe. Carmelo was quite aggressive in making sure Kobe did not get the ball or tried to contain him. I thought at times those two were going to go at it.

If T-Mac plays another game in a Rockets jersey, I'll be surprised. The whole city of Houston pretty much wants him gone.

THANKFULLY this is the last year of his contract. Still, paying him 19million to miss the majority of ANOTHER SEASON is just hard to swallow. They are talking more along the lines of T Mac not being ready to play until February.

It also seems the Rockets have brought Mutumbo back as a free agent. He is the only HEALTHY player on the roster taller than 6'9.

I thought Mutombo retired. I thought that was sad because of the way he went out in the playoffs. A quality guy like that needs to go out in a classy way. Not on a stretcher. That would be awesome if he came back. NOT IN MY HOUSE! *wags finger*

As for McGrady, I expect us to try to unload him somewhere during the season. We probably won't get much for him in return because of his obvious health issues, but it would probably be a better move than just waiting for his contract to expire at the end of the season. Plus, I think public pressure from the fans will be on to move him. After he failed to get us out of the first round of the playoffs with all those years of promises only for us to finally get out of the first round this year without him, I think that was the last straw for most fans.
