Both of those men are/were great fighters. But I'm gonna go with Bruce Lee. Although nobody could box like Ali, Bruce Lee could break bones, snap necks, and be sneaky at the same time. The man beat Chuck Norris in "Return of the Dragon." If he can beat the legend himself...enough said.

Bruce Lee was probably one of the first MMA fighters out there. He used a lot of different styles and combined them into one, Jeet Kune do. Muhammad Ali only has boxing skills.

Bruce Lee created his version of kung fu didn't he? Ali was and will always be the G.O.A.T though.

I loved both Ali and Lee. However, 6'3, 219 in his prime vs. 5'7, 140 Bruce would have had a huge speed advantage against almost any heavywieght except "The Greatest". Ali had the fastest hands of any fighter EVER in his prime(1965-68). His reach would have been even more formidable than his hieght advantage to Lee. Lee copied some of his style from Ali. I'd give this 1 to the master by way of early knockout unless Lee rolled around and ran until his legs gave out in which case it could take Ali an entire fight to catch him, after all, Ali was more of a counterpuncher with an awsome and agressive lighting quick, powerful jab. ALi knocked out some very big and skilled men. There would be no counter for Ali's huge size, power and speed advantages. ALi's skill as a boxer were 2nd to none. Size DOES MATTER :)

i mean ali Vs. a shaolin monk would be better. i'm aware of lee's background but those guys it's training 24-7, their life. ali didn't skip on the training either but still. bruce had to make movies and brandons. in his eliment, as a monk, i'd say lee. otherwise i'd give it to ali. fedor could beat them both at the same time.

This, however, is pure hearsay - undoubtedly from WJM's perspective, LOL. There is no video from the fight for anyone to be able to say with certainty how it went. All we know is both guys lived from it.

Actually this is testimony from the only unbiased witness to the fight IIRC.

Ahhhhhhh, I did a simple google search, wikipedia wrote: Lee also competed in many martial arts competitions around the world winning every one almost flawlessly, defeating internationally known martial artists from many different countries.
..and yes, he was a professional, fighting was his profession.

Cause we all know that Wiki is the be all and end all of unassailible FACTS! Right?

Show me hard evidence of any tournement that he competed in proffessionally......

Only unbiased witness? Is that a joke? Hearsay, like I said. Without video, we'll never know what really happened.

if your watching bruce lee in his films its all choreagraphed dancing im not doubting he wasnt a great fighter and athlete has anybody seen bruce lee fighting in a real competitionand what class of opponent he fought for me ali would slaughter him
when i was boxing in our gym we sometimes had martial arts fighters come for training when they were going for there gradings dans when i spared with them if i stayed close to there bodies they couldnt kick me so they became a just a boxer if i stood off him then the kickings started a few to the head but mostly my legs
so for me ALI would knock him out no problem

van damme/bruce lee/jackie chan/jet lee if these 4 had a competition who would win
im not to sure so help me out who do any of you out there think would win
