Once again, thanks for the replies from all the people who actually bothered to read my whole original post.
To everyone else telling me to look in myself blah blah blah (all the things everyone tells the OP on the "I'm a BBW and can't get a date" threads) it's really unneeded.
I attract women willy nilly everywhere I go. It's my curse. It causes drama, unfortunately. However, since I seem to have just met someone awesome, I may be staying here for a while...
Who knows? I just feel like this was an awesome question to ask on these forums. If the POF forums were not full of so many bitter old ladies with 4 divorces under their belts, I feel like I would have gotten a lot fewer pseudo-scathing posts directed at me.

Obviously the southern states people can get out and play more so they me be in better shape but they say MN is on the highest for being in shape. Who would have thunk it?
As far as beauty I think that if you went around trying to find something beautiful about people you met for one day it would open your eyes.
Try applying yourself in way that is warming and compassionate and you will see people perk up and have a whole different look. | |

First off, why would ANYONE immigrate INTO Canada? I mean unless they like the french language, ridiculously high taxes, and crappy hockey teams....
And I didn't even know Canada had women. I thought they were all frumpy soccer moms and hairy men wearing plaid who came en masse to the US every year in November to do their Christmas shopping. Bypassing afore stated ridiculous Canadian taxes...... The only thing Canadian women "deserve" would be running water and soap, I guess. I mean, that'd be a step in the right direction.

Posted: 5/6/2009 12:24:24 PM | Granted, I am a woman who has only lived in a couple parts of the country. However, I feel like you may want to avoid these areas, so I will respond anyway.
I spent a total of ten years in Michigan and the vast majority of the women there were not physically what you might be looking for. I read some statistics once that actually said Michigan had one of the higher levels of obesity in the country. Generally I found that part of society to be a part of the country where everyone tended to be in a rush and many of the people cared only for themselves. I would think there would be an exception, but if there is, I am not sure I got to meet that person.
The other half of my life, I've lived in Kansas and while I love it here, I do not feel you will find what you are seeking here either. This is because here, traditionally we are not submissive women. Many of us tend to make our opinions well known.
While there is something about the way you write I am sure I am super fond of (can't quite put my finger on what), I do understand what you are saying about differences in personality and the way people live in various parts of the country. I first noticed this after my first move in life, being a thousand miles from home. It does not necessarily make any one place "wrong" in the way they live, just different. We all have places we feel we fit in more than we would in other portions of the world. | |

And guess what? Most folks understand where I am coming from. Wheras some (mainly the bitter old ladies) take umbrage with how I write, the actual gist behind my original question is a sound one.

I really don't care of these posts are attached to my POF page. I already met and dated the only good looking girl on this site in my area, and she turned out to be a nice person, but totally unprepared for a man who treated her with respect. She has some issues of her own to solve before trying for a healthy LTR. If she reads this, I hope she knows I mean her no ill will, and I do think she is a great person and will make a fine gf and wife eventually. She should just focus on school and finding out what it is that makes herself happy now.
And to all my detractors... LOL! If you're not female, in my area, childless, and under the age of 28..... whether or not you think I'm sex is kind of irrelevant.
