If you wear a condom, what others do is irrelevant. The only reason anyone wears a condom aside from birth control is because he assumes his partner is infected, by default. If you assume your partner isn't infected, why would you wear a condom?

Since my best friend is an escort, I have a good idea of what escorts do and don't do and wearing condoms for intercourse is standard operating procedure, i.e., no condom, no sex. Oral sex is most often done without condoms. The rate of condom usage among escorts is much higher than among civilians. I have yet to date a woman who didn't try to talk me out of wearing a condom and never in my life have I received oral sex while wearing one.

Posted: 9/21/2009 2:47:39 PM | dealbreaker for me but i can see how it would not be for others. it is more about matching your value system with someone else's. if you are a woman that doesn't mind past use of escorts your prospects will expand for partners and i do believe it will not be a drawback or cause problems in the relationship.
this is; however, a dealbreaker for me because i place a different value on sex. i've never had a one-night stand. i love sex but have spent a lot of time considering how i want to share this with someone. i have rules that i don't break. the upside to this is that when i find someone and fall in love and decide to sleep with them it is fantastic. it works for me and keeps me emotionally safe too - which is important for me.
the downside is i probably have a smaller group to choose from but i don't mind - i don't need the daily moral challenge. i guess that the men who choose to use escorts also run the risk of losing the interest of someone like me... and i think i bring a lot of really good values to a relationship that kind of tag along with the sexual boundaries (honesty, loyalty, bonding...). not to say that there aren't fantastic women out there who are more easygoing about it...
anyway, i've learned now to be up front about asking about someone's sexual values. there are some very nice people out there who have hired escorts or spent significant time online with porn. i simply don't want to have to think about this in relationship when i don't have matching experience or views. saves so much heartache. each to his or her own. | |

Look at his cell phone bills - both the messages and the texts - and google some of the "odd" looking numbers - bet you odds u get a hit on a related sex website or ad! Be prepared to also find the PhoneSex numbers and SexChat numbers as well as a few craigslist and local sex singles club numbers. Also, its apparently customary when theyre meeting or planning to meet the escort that the guy calls then she calls back - 2 call rule. Using an escort means he opened himself up to many, many more chances of getting an STD than your standard "oops" ONS that so many people have done.
Use the math....(this is just an example!):
Average Joe (10 partners) and you (6 partners)=16
Average Joe (10 partners) and escort (50 partners)=60
That's way too much STD roulette for me....
Right every hooker is going to give you a disease. There are low class street walkers that are walking aids factories but the escorts want the money and not a disease so they demand protection and provide it. You stand a far greater chance picking something up with a one night stand than you do with someone that does that for a living. I did the photos for a article one time involving higher class prostitutes. There were several interviewed and they all said that a condom was required, they did not receive oral or kiss and if the guy wanted oral it was with a condom. That said I have not paid for it, other than money I spent of dates. I have been offered many times in bars and the woman even said you don't have to wear a rubber if you don't want to as I am on the pill. So if I go out with ten hookers and pay for sex which is safe and I go bang ten women at a bar where I don't have to suit up which one is the greater chance at getting something? | |

If they were married or seeing someone and did it for sexual reasons would be different, and not tollerated. But thier past when they were single is no concern of mine, that was her choice on how she handled her own life. If it was recent, I would definitely have my doubts...and probably just be friends. But if it happened a year or more ago, and he was lonely, etc. Who am I to judge?
I think it is naive for ladies to think that only a small percentage of men do this. I have many guy friends, and probably about 80% have been to an escort at least ONCE. Whether their buddy bought it for them as a birthday present, or whether they were just focused on their business and needed a release (escorts prevent you having to go through the motions, it is guaranteed, and you get it WHEN you want it...no strings attached...I can see why the idea seems like a pretty good one).
Or for married men, who don't want the unnecessary drama involved with an affair (worrying about the girl on the side telling, etc....which normally doesn't happen, unless you are in politics? And they can fit it into their lunch break, so no having to sneak out and account for whereabouts).
However, I would demand STD tests for both of us (this should be a given in any new relationship), and for quite some time I would use a condom. Even if he had said he used one with the escorts...because really, you can't be too careful. Although, I feel it is almost safer to be frequenting escorts (the upscale ones, who demand condoms for vaginal/anal sex) than to be picking up chicks in bars. On the lighter side of this, although English is my native tongue, when I arrived in NY after many years abroad, needing someone to drop my then eight year old daughter at school, as both ex and myself were in a bind, was blindsided by the euphemism.
