| Windows7 Rc, have you got yours? Posted: 6/9/2009 6:21:53 PM | Running windows 7 via fusion on my mac (2.4ghz 4g RAM), looking very promising.
Key to virtualizing windows 7 via fusion is to use windows 2008 server, instead of what fusion recommends (Vista).

I've been *very* impressed with the performance so far, as well as the stability of a non production-release OS (from Microsoft, of all companies).
Test Subjects: Machine #1: Desktop PC Athlon 64 3400+ 1GB RAM 160GB SATA HD ATi Radeon Xpress 200 graphics (RS482 chipset)
Machine #2: Dell Latitude D620 notebook Core Duo T2300 1GB RAM 60GB HD nVidia Quadro NVS110M Graphics Intel 945 chipset
Machine #3: Acer AspireOne AOA150, 8.9" LCD Intel Atom N270 CPU 1GB RAM 120GB 1.8" HD Intel 945GM chipset
Results are as follows: Machine #1: no drivers available for chipset/graphics. They are not included with the OS, and Vista drivers did not work. ATi has discontinued driver development for this chipset. Was not able to test further. Machine #2: A RAM bump might be beneficial, but it runs admirably on 1GB. It is still loaded. Machine #3: It came preloaded with Windows XP Home. 7 feels faster, and boots twice as quickly as XP.

| Windows7 Rc, have you got yours? Posted: 7/2/2009 12:17:01 PM | Ok Ok... I finally got it. I wasn't too impressed with the beta but I've been using the RC1 VM and I''ll admit, it is better now imo than XP & Vista.
& since it still has the beta fish wallpaper, I'm upgrading my Vista today
