Was wondering how often most women need to masturbate? And how often do men need to?
carpel tunnel syndrome is usually a good indication some one is slapping the bean or tuning the pitch fork a little too much.

But, when I discovered it, well lets just say that is all she wrote. Lol. I think masturbation is fun reguardless, whether I have sex once twice or ten times a week. I have such a high sex drive that I tend to touch myself quite alot. I would say atleast two or three times a day maybe 4 or 5 times a week. Is that too much? I dunno. I even did it when I was married...ofcourse unless you have a healthy sex life during marriage, its a most needed occurrence..lol  | |

There is no "pat" rule for frequency of masturbation. If you feel satisfied , that's what counts.
As you can see from what everyone shared...the frequency varies from person to person.
I think it would only be considered a problem if it interferes with one's life and daily activities, which apparently is the case with the rare few. | |

If you have lost a considerable amount of water weight in one day, if you have calluses on more than just your hands, if it is causing serious physical injury to yourself or others, or if you cannot remember how many times it has been since your last meal, then that may be going a bit overboard. Huh??!! You mean, like, while walking to work? Or mucking up the keyboard/sticky keys? Sorry, just having real struggle envisioning how masturbation could interfere with a whole life, or even one day of it.

I'm fairly certain that if you did a bit of research on compulsive masturbation you would find that it isn't a joke for those suffering with it.

Well, not anymore! When I left my home after he said he wanted a divorce, I packed all of the toys. Although I was not in the mood for several months, finally, I pulled them out, and never looked back.
There is no "normal". It will always depend on the person, and their mood.

Sometimes i will go a number of days(lets say 4-5) without masturbating...then there are the "bad" days..needless to say i can hit 6 times in a day. average is once a day to twice a day.
But being single and with a fairly highsex drive doesn't leave many options. Hell even on the bad days i would be happy just to have someone(female thankyou) to do it with.
I had a lady friend with whom we never had sex but enjoyed masturbating together and each other. It was very very nice actually. She didn't want the pressure of sex with a friend , It was very sensual, and when one of us felt the urge and we were together, off we went with the other person right there enjoying the performance. and it was a free choice whether you joined in or just watched, but i never helped out unless she asked me to because it was just showing respect for her wishes and mine. It was actually very exciting having a female masturbation partner. She is now with a nice gentleman and enjoying a great relationship with him and i'm glad i could fill in through the "dry time" as it was enjoyable for both of us.

Some nights I will do it 3 or 4 times though, as long as I need to keep going. It just depends on the day. When I'm ovulating I sometimes have to masturbate throughout the day too cuz I'm climbin the walls and just have to release. It's not that whomever I'm with can't satisfy me, sometimes I just can't get enough. I'm not one to pressure a woman into doing something that she's not wanting to do, soooooo... if she's wore out and done and I'm not, I'll continue the party without her by myself... kinda. Oddly enough, I soon discovered that I enjoy women watching me choke the chicken as much as they enjoy watching me do it.
As for the question, "How often is normal"... well I'm pretty sure there isn't a definitive answer. Besides, who's to say what normal is anyway? Some people believe that masturbation is taboo, dirty, and abnormal.

I've been engaged for over 5 years and although I love that person I still enjoy masturbating and do it almost every day. Now I read other posts and must say that if I had to choose between making love to my girlfriend and masturbate I would of course choose making love. Another thing is even if I made love I might still feel the need to masturbate during the day. I think both are great.

I can go weeks with out the desire to masturbate, and then there are times that I can't satisfy myself enough and have to do it up to 4 times in a day. Now some are instant gratification, others can take an upto an hour.
Normal is whatever doesn't interfere with other life activities, especially your sexual relations. I have only the crudest second-hand information with respect to women, but with men masturbation varies depending on two factors, how much you're involved with or thinking about sex and whether you are engaged in other engrossing or physically demanding activities.
If a man is tired from working hard physically they tend to not think about sex, masturbate or even have sex. Interestingly, satisfactory sexual encounters result in increased masturbation, sometimes associated with flashbacks. Older single men often don't think about sex for long periods of time, and thus don't masturbate. If you frequently think about sex, you will masturbate regularly and maintain an interest in being at least being halfway friendly to women. For a man masturbating more than a few times a day is generally unsatisfactory and results in sharply reduced pleasure.
Compared to sex, masturbation, for a man, is much less pleasurable, although there are techniques which increase pleasure, and approach the pleasure of intercourse. (The secret is avoidance of direct stimulation of the penis). | |
