I went to work today & came home to see that our numbers have grown! I think we are going to have a great day of fun. Can't wait to see all the regulars & meet all of the newbies.

My sister, myself, and another will be attending. (total 3 people)
I will be bringing: Potato Salad, Baked Beans, and some type of dessert.
I've not been to Sardis Lake before but am assuming it being a state park, trees will be plentiful for shade? I did read we've got a pavilion, but a chair under the shade of a tree just can't be beat.
I own a full pan Chaffing Dish - had mentioned it to Mike and he thought it a good idea to bring. (Hey Mike read your not coming - You will be missed!)
Just let me know if you think it could be beneficial. My thoughts were to use half to keep my baked beans in and the other half could hold the meat as it comes off the grill.
Also, if you need any extra hands I don't mind helping with cooking , set up, or whatever you might need., just shoot me a message if so.

Looking forward to lots of fun and meeting new people and seeing old friends too. Simplyjustme (and any others that haven't) please go to the first page of this thread & click on the button that says "sign up to attend" so that your picture will show up in the "gallery". Ann & I will take care of getting the food list updated as to what everyone is bringing & how many are coming with you.
As a reminder, don't forget your chairs, cold drinks (NO alcohol) , fishing/swimming gear if you so desire. If I can find them, I plan on bringing horseshoes but if anybody has any "yard" games, pleasae bring them along. Early weather reports for next weekend point to great weather for our day.
By tomorrow, I will have exact directions from I-55 to our location posted. Hopefully, will also have some pictures to post of the area as well (since I will be snapping the pictures, I can't prosmise anything too glamorous but will give you an idea of what we have to look forward to.)
Looking forward to seeing all the "regulars" & meeting all the new attendees.

I didn't manage to get any pictures today (I don't do that well when I am driving  ) but was able to get some pictures that were taken back in the early spring when we first started thinking about having the picnic & post them. They are also on the front page in a slide show of sorts. Will give you an idea of what the place looks like. The swimming beach is right there were we will be, as well as a play ground for the kids. The spillway is there close too for all of the fishermen that are coming.
We will have electrical plugs close so if anybody wants to bring fans, they would be helpful to keep the air moving (in case it turns out to be one of those rather warm days w/ no wind at all).
Looks like we are going to have a great turnout.

Also, there is a list of side items that you can bring. Just let us know what type of side you want to bring and I will put you on the food list.
I myself am bringing cole slaw and deviled eggs..
Hey TomThumb, good to hear.. hmmm can you bring an extra helment for me??? I want you to take me riding hehehe.. There will be plenty of food I am sure.. I always make too much!!!
