I couldn't figure out how to post it so if someone else could do it for me i would really appeciate it.I can't wait to meet everyone in person!!!Is someone making nametags? Welcome.. I will put you down on the list.. If you haven't already, and I haven't checked the sign up list yet, but go and add yourself on the first page to the sign up list. It will say something like "to add yourself to list click here".. that will help us keep everyone straight.

Oh my yes this will be a family event.. just let us know how many you are going to bring.
Look at the slide show at the beginning of the thread and you will see lots of play ground equipment.. a beach.. etc.
You might want to bring some outside game too..
Sure there will be name tags.

Sorry you aren't going to be able to come to the picnic. I was sure looking forward to those brownies & that homemade pimento cheese! I understand the family reunion thing & there's not much you can do when they change the times on you. If you are traveling, be safe. Sooner or later you'll be back to party land.

We have Volleyball, Horseshoes, Magnetic Lawn Darts ,Ladderball , and 2 rackets and birdies....
If anyone plays and instrument be sure to bring it and help Ken out , he is bringing his guitar .........pickin and grinnin uh?????

Posted: 6/2/2009 8:24:09 PM | Looks like we are still getting new folks signing up to join us. A big welcome to all of you. You may start the day by meeting strangers but by the time you head for home, you will have spent the day among friends. This is a great bunch of folks.
Early weather forecasts are showing temps around 92 & NO RAIN!!!
 But even if that forecast changes & we get some showers (but remember Memphis in May is over & you know all that rain leaves with that) we have a HUGE pavillion for cover.

Be sure to bring (or wear) those swimsuits , towels, fishing poles and bait ,and your cooler and drinks ........
The games we have are horseshoes, volleyball, ladderball, badminton, and lawn darts ........if you have any you want to bring , that would be great....

When you have to barter for the work to get done and saturday is the only day the repairman can do it then you have to make sacrifaces. Thanks for your understanding.

Everybody else.........see you in 12 hours or so. Watch for the signs at the exit off I-55 & all the way to the picnic site. For me it's off to the kitchen to make that potato salad & bannana pudding. And Lisa, your surprise will be there.

Posted: 6/6/2009 9:00:31 PM | The picnic was a HUGE success! The weather couldn't have been more perfect if we could have custom ordered. There were about 70 people in attendance. Lots & lots of good food & fun. Hurry Jim & get those pictures up!
Thanks to everyone that wiped out the potato salad & bannana pudding! The highest compliment for a cook is when there is nothing left & there wasn't much left of either at the end of the day.
To all the new folks that joined us today, it was great to meet each one of you. We'll see you all at the next event.
