I know exactly how you're feeling. I was married for 26 years when I found out my husband had a girlfriend. When I confronted him, he said he didn't love me and wanted out. Shortly thereafter, he was gone, lock, stock and barrel. He turned his back on his kids and grandkids for this woman who is 15 years younger than he is and is also our daughter's friend (or was her friend) Every day my heart achs and some days I wonder if I can go on. For me, if finally decided to take controll of my life. I made new friends, joined some groups and decided that I needed to take care of me first. I can tell you that it still hurts but gets easier every day. So, take care of yourself and learn to love yourself first. Good luck and god bless.

"I love you but I'm not in love with you" is a phrase heard almost univerally by spouses who are being cheated on. If you seriously want to save your marriage, look up "marriagebuilders" and "Willard Harley". Follow the advice exactly. It is difficult, time consuming and emotionally taxing and you may not wish to do it. There are no guarantees either. I am sorry you find yourself in this position. My D-day was in Jan. 2006. I was unable to permanently destroy my wife's affair. Now I don't want to. Wishing you the very best.

I hope that one day I am lucky enough to meet a woman that I love as much as the way you describe your love for your husband. I think the situation you're going through right now is very sad. The up side is you have experienced a love that I don't believe most others do. I hope I'm wrong about the last part.
