Posted: 9/25/2009 2:41:14 PM | I agree Sweet, It's really sad when the last party hosted by Kat at the Strat, all the funds went to Kat for her personal use, and now some of us try to host another party at the Strat and change a fee to cover the cost for 2 bands that are charging us to play that evening and we got that thread deleted as well as the hostess deleted. The Strat gives us use of a free ballroom, drink specials, and a free dinner buffet, as well as discounted rooms, can't expect them to cover the cost of the bands we want as well. It's sad that so many people have enjoyed coming to these POF parties at the Strat and yet we will still have the party, just not as a POF event.
Yet Kat was deleted and is still around hosting POF parties with other POF members. Guess they need to get some new moderators who know how to do their jobs! I'm just glad that there are others who feel the same way about this. | |

People keep getting deleted because some people (GENERALLY SPEAKING) think every comment typed, spoken or any other form of communication there could possibly be is all ABOUT THEM.
Call it jealousy, spite, vindictiveness, malice, mean, underhanded, backstabbing, crazy or any other thing you want to think of.
I don't understand why people can't just move on and let it go, holding grudges takes up so much energy. No one should be afraid to say how they feel about anything for fear some person(s) are going to email every address they ever had of yours badgering you to death. Legally, (and I would know, since that's what I do) that is HARASSMENT and fully prosecutable under the law. Threats are as well no matter what form they're made in.
However, if something is generally said with no names mentioned (which I NEVER have), there isn't a whole lot you can do about that in a court of law. Actually, I would love to be in court that day when the Judge cracks up laughing and throws them out of court.
I think this is beyond ridiculous and has gotten completely out of hand. If you're (GENERALLY SPEAKING) going to email me with hate mail about this, don't bother, I will just delete it without reading like I’ve been doing. If you’re not my friend, I really don't care what you think. I already know how my "friends" feel.
I am expecting to get deleted, a slap on the hand or put in time out and that’s fine too. It just substantiates everything I’ve said (SOMEONE lurks just to report people if they don’t like what you’ve said) and at least we’ll all know why I’m gone.
If you (GENERALLY SPEAKING) take anything I’ve said personally, well maybe you should take a look at yourselves and stop blaming everyone else. | |

Also I've been talking to people around the country about this. St. Louis is the only place that normally DOES NOT CHARGE A COVER. KC charges $5 a person, and some of the Chicago ones charge $10!!!! And they don't provide food or prizes or ANYTHING else, THAT'S just to walk in the door. They say it is to help the host/hostess to recup some of the money that they put out on the party expenses (not to many people put money into a donation bucket at the events).
Some people need to think back about when there were no POF parties..... it was KAT AND PATRICK that started these, and yes I think their bar tabs should be covered, hell you are bringing them a fvcking TON of business with a POF party. Especially the Strat..... we fill the ballroom, drink, and fill the hotel on a night they otherwise would not have same amount of business. Believe me..... she isn't the ONLY hostess who gets these "perks"...
BTW Theresa....... Shellie and Sheila are still on here too and GHOST HOSTESSING. I believe they were deleted for posting the halloween party as a POF event when they were actually having it as a KICKOFF PARTY FOR THEIR OWN WEBSITE!!!!! It NEVER was a POF event.... Everyone denies it, but I've seen it on SEVERAL other web sites, since it was first posted. That was the ONLY reason that Rhonda was deleted and you people know it. EVERYONE wants to blame this on ONE person when in fact there are several people on POF involved, and the sad part is we all used to be friends.
I think all of this is a fvcking shame that it has come down to all of the back stabbing and name calling.

Well I don't get much of anything but what I REALLY don’t get is how this topic of conversation has gone on month after month after month!
Is this a dating site or child care????
People have been terminated, parties canceled, out right blasting each other on numerous websites, I'm sure hateful and threatening emails have been flying back and forth just as much. This started out like a bar fight, spewed out into the street and now it's becoming a mob scene.
I gave up hanging in the 4ums months ago because of this childish b.s., when will someone be the bigger person and just keep their comments to themselves?? Maybe the other will follow suite and this b.s. will finally come to an end.
As long as one person feels the need to make a comment, either in email, in the 4ums or on another website, it's just going to keep escalating

I wish I had thought of this first....I totally agree with all of the above on the soap box...
If ALL would GROW UP and ACT your AGES, things would be fine. POF is too much fun to have all this BS going on...let's not make it rough for those who enjoy being on here and meeting people.
Life is too short and precious to have so much hate against others...
LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH...have FUN!!!!!! That's what it is all about...
