| Why do some women like to get choked while having sex? Posted: 5/16/2009 10:29:08 PM | Having a hand on the neck (not actually being choked as in air cut off) is very much a feeling of being dominated and under control. That I do like.
The same (essentially) feeling can also come from his hand on my back pressing down a little when we are doggy style, or reaching forward and pulling the hair (not too hard, ouch!). Or even his hand flat on my stomach/chest when he is over me missionary style.
Oh, god, and let's not forget a guy holding my hands over my head while he's over me in me!
All of it suggests dominance and heightens the sexual experience for a woman who likes to be controlled or dominated in bed. (yes like me).
But actual choking? hell no...no no no no
If I were a guy and someone asked me to choke them I'd prolly assume it's a light pressure "giving a semblance of dominance" kinda thing. If she wants more than that? That calls for a good long discussion and unless I were really experienced in it I wouldn't go there no matter what. But, that's just me.
The kink, per se, of wanting to be dominated, for me, is just about the *feeling* of being under a guy's control sexually. Not about actually being controlled. There is a difference, do you see it? It is about trust and knowing I am safe in his arms. That I can give up my tightly held personal control for an hour and give over to him. To trust he'll catch me no matter what. If I have a really strong orgasm and I cry out or even actually cry, he'll keep me safe despite the strong feelings I'm having.
Again, the disclaimer, that's just me. I don't speak for anyone but myself. :)

If you have no medical understanding of what the repercussions of this can be you should not even attempt it. From some of the female responses I read, they are in the right. It is more so a submissive action and need not be more than just having the hand placed around the throat. It is the action as such for the mental stimulation. Do your research and see how little pressure it takes to cut off blood flow to the brain and how quickly this can happen. Play safe and know and trust your partner, that is the best way to avoid an unfortunate incident.

Because some women nag too much and even their own ears get tired of hearing said naggage so they like to be choked so that their nagging can be suppressed? I don't know. I just like doing it. Helps me vent anger while having sex which gives me even more said venting. LMFAOOO I think jeff dahmer gave the cops the same explanation.... Surprising more gals aren't into this method, to just chill and lay back, allowing an angry man with issues to choke you out during sex so he can " vent"....

sepia it seems like a perfectly rational way to deal with a rage filled man. Prisons are filled with guys who just needed to vent their anger lol An astute observation, wodever!:)... the poor things...maybe they just needed a hug and some understanding...but no some shrill of a wife just had to insist that the garbage bet set out on the curb before dinnertime... *ROFL*
I like to call it "choking the chicken-head LMFAOOOOO ut oh..*watches a gaggle of women armed with torches and pitchforks chasing CSB:run:

It's called erotic asphyxiation or asphyxiophilia and reduces blood flow to the brain which in turn reduces oxygen...
Personally, I wouldn't be interested in engaging in this as I've heard horror stories of women and men dying from this practise.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autoerotic_asphyxiation
Some individuals have died performing this, but this is in the extreme. If you and your partner have an understanding concerning the amount of pressure it takes to fulfill your arousal/erotic pleasure, then there shouldn't be a problem. I actually love autoerotic play - it excites me. But my partner has to know what he's doing. And it's noticeable when they don't from the beginning - then you take control - tell them to stop or show them what to do.

| Why do some women like to get choked while having sex? Posted: 5/29/2009 8:05:24 AM | | My girlfriend has asked me to choke her a few times during sex. I do it a different way though. During missionary I place my forearm over her throat but I don't put any pressure down.My elbow is still on the bed. She lifts up her head,in effect choking herself, and if it gets too intense she just has to let her head fall back. | |

I never could understand the choking thing. Yeah I understand women like it rough, but choking is a bit much for me.

| Why do some women like to get choked while having sex? Posted: 5/29/2009 7:48:25 PM | It's about being forced to do something. Like alot of others stated, it's the dominate/submissive roleplay. Another example in my opinion is pinning a girl's legs down while you're pleasing her orally and forcing her to finish or tying her up, or grabbing her hair and forcing her mouth on you. She has no control over the matter. It shows the man's masculinity, force, and power. It's not about hurting the person, but more just a game.
Since it is just a game make sure you don't do it too hard or like others have warned, I'm sure it could be dangerous. Same for slapping and spankings, you do it lightly to cause more of a shock than pain. It's about stimulating all the body parts :) The opposite version of this but still under the same category of stimulating is playing with different textures of fabric blindfolded. Feathers, silk, etc. it's really quite fun.
Don't diss it until you've tried it, and like anything you should have a trustworthy partner.

She still wants it and I catch her holding her breath a lot during sex. I used to hold my breath when I masturbated as a teenager- it heightens the orgasm.

| Why do some women like to get choked while having sex? Posted: 5/29/2009 9:55:13 PM | Boy, some of you were starting to take the fun out of choking for me. I don't take it to the extreme. I usually only enjoy this with a woman from behind...having her doggie style, and using my hand like a dog collar. Having that kind of control is hardly harmful. There are no slips, because I'm in control as I'm only using my thumb and forefinger against the neckline. My other three fingers are spread across her bust.
Oh well, to each their own.
