| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/21/2009 12:07:58 PM | No number per se... just when you start to lose your shape from curvy (in the right spots) to round (belly). When you start to lose the ability to be active is a red flag too.
I like thicker women... and I think you look great, OP.

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/21/2009 1:49:53 PM | | To be honest it's really about how you carry it. A little extra weight here or there, a thick girl I don't consider overweight. In fact I usually prefer slightly thicker ladies. But when it impedes a person's daily life or makes them significantly unhealthy, that's when I consider a woman overweight. And I know a lot of women are insecure, but when a woman keeps complaining about herself being fat, I start believing them a little more and more, when initially I'd have thought nothing of it. So being happy with one's looks goes a long way to not seeming overweight in my eyes. | |

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/21/2009 2:07:54 PM | I'm overweight in some mens eyes and other mens eyes I am squeezeable. The way my body is made up is crazy....but, that's what God had bless me with.....and I will have to live with it. I have short but, sexy legs.....I have large breast and not much cushion in the trunk......I am a little round in the middle. I carry myself as a sexy lady.....and I love me....if a man doesn't like the curves then, I'm not for him.....We all have choices of what we like. So, ladies be proud of who you. There's someone out there that loves overweight (squeezeable) women....... | |

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/21/2009 2:22:58 PM | | The bottom line is that each person will have a different idea on this. The bottom line for me is when I don't find her attractive when I first meet her. Aside from that, there can only be broad generalizations and indicative measures to which there are many exceptions. | |

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/21/2009 2:29:31 PM | Hmmm....I've dated women of all shapes and sizes. I'm not considered a hard body by any means so for me to judge someone as being overweight seems somewhat unfair.
I will add that sexual prowess has nothing to do with weight and thus some of the "rounder" women I've dated have been amazing lovers and some of the hard bodies were, shall we say in need of some lessons?
I guess the bottom line is this, it all depends on how the women feels about her body...many women who some would consider overweight, I find sexy as hell because they are confident in who they are as a person.

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/21/2009 3:42:11 PM | Well personally, I like thick girls. So my definition of overweight is different than people that like the hollywood type. I like em pretty much as big as they can get without getting fat rolls, or at least having the rolls to a minimum.
So basically, is the most activity you're getting from lifting that chicken wing out of the box? Then you're overweight.
But you are not by any stretch overweight, if you were asking about yourself.

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/21/2009 4:47:46 PM | Me i know im overweight, but i carry it well, i suppose i wouldnt say im obese, but im inbetween. I've never really had problems with guys, i guess weight doesnt really matter in a sense, its the personality and the cuteness factor that over powers the weight.
:] anyhow, certain guys dig big girls, which is always a plus plus plus lol

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/26/2009 11:05:52 PM | | This isn't something that's easy to describe with adjectives because men who appreciate larger women are going to use terms like curvy for women than someone else might just call fat. Also, the actual weight isn't very helpful either because women lie about it so much, that I don't think a lot of men even know what certain weight/heights would even look like. Also, some women have problem areas that surface at different weights or might carry weight better than others. I think that the women who gain weight in such a way that it serves only to emphasize their feminine shape and still maintain the golden ratio can stay a lot heavier than women who just kinda pack it on in the wrong places. It's really not that much different than how some women just don't look good with their hair dyed a certain color and some do. I think women need to be realistic and look at it that way rather than think that just because they're as pretty and the same weight as someone who's taller, has a higher lean mass or better proportions, that they're going to have the same appeal or warrant the same adjectives. | |

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/27/2009 12:31:09 AM | I'm about 10 pounds over ideal weight, and I call that "average" because it is, in the U.S. If anything, it mght be a little under average.
No one I've met to date has had any issue with this.

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/27/2009 6:19:17 AM | | A body frame where there is more mass protruding from unusual places, unporportioned to the body itself. If you have mass coming from your trapezius, that is continual to your abdomen, which your shirt doesn't contain properly--you're overweight. | |

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/27/2009 7:59:33 AM | | in my opinion it has everything to do with how u carry it....and also height/weight proportion....i mean if your 5'8" and u weigh 160 then NO!!!!! your not overweight to me but if your 5'2" and you weight 195 then i would probably say yes you are but also if you carry it well then it might not be an issue ......i generally look at a girl and try to see the whole package not just face or butt or boobs unless one of them are just popping out at me lol......also the cuteness factor plays a BIG!!!! role in the whole overweight/not overweight thing with me so yes different people will have a different definition of overweight but it all comes down to your particular situation | |

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/28/2009 10:35:08 AM | I really like this topic, I had been down on myself for awhile about some weight I had gained following an injury and was dissapointed that it wasn't coming off as fast as I would of liked.
I then had the chance to have dinner with a couple of old friends of mine who had just got back from an overseas tour, and they both were flabbergasted about how much better I looked with more weight on me and kept going on and on about it.
I don't think the number itsself matters so much as how the person carries it, most people don't believe me if i tell them actully how much I do weigh, but I carry a majoirty of my weight in my height and hips/butt so it works to my advantage.

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/28/2009 11:23:07 AM | If a woman is smart, sincere, interesting, and affectionate, and able to appreciate me as an individual, I don't focus on body shape or type (within broad limits- that I'd find a person with an eating-disorder-thin build of concern, or the opposite extreme- someone who has so much weight that it limits their activities or is likely to impair their health is of concern).
I will say that I think that mass cultures' fixation on thin-ness is really distorted, and that I find moderate abundance of feminine curves to be attractive.

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/28/2009 4:16:25 PM | | If Wii fit knows your overweight then you are overweight. But I personally prefer a woman that is athletic, or very close to it. It lets me know she cares how she looks and that she tries to stay healthy. Why would I want someone that doesn't care how they look or how they treat their body? | |

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/28/2009 6:29:30 PM | Message 103 - You have such a great attitude and smile that I don't think your weight even comes into the equation.
Most of us need to learn from this. If we stop worrying about every inch on our bodies we might actually feel better about ourselves.
I like myself (yes I have curves too) and I know that I won't be everyone's Heidi Klum but hey I'm only 5ft 3 so I will never have legs like that anyway.........................LOL.

|
| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/28/2009 9:38:47 PM | | Personally, as long as a girl looks like a girl. That's good enough for me.... As soon as you start growing extra body parts or start looking like a man, then yea, I'd be scared..... | |

| what do men consider overweight? Posted: 5/28/2009 10:50:08 PM | Look, this is going to sound so cliche, but every man is different. You could be 5'5" and weigh 140 lbs--one guy may think you're beautiful and have a great body, and the guy next to him may think you're one of the fattest and ugliest people on earth.
You just have to be at a weight that YOU are comfortable with, and that gives YOU confidence.
