As a side note, one of the most endearing things about many of the "girls" on this forum is that they actually don't seem to realize how attractive they really are.

Personally, I have less of a problem with getting nekkid than I probably should. I don't mind it the first time we make love, and it only gets easier from there. Prefer low-lights to fumbling in complete darkness. Unfortunately, I carry no six-pack, and worse yet---am covered head-to-toes with fur. In today's society, it seems like us furry guys are the lepers of the 21st century. "O.M.G! You should get a BODY WAX!" As a side note, one of the most endearing things about many of the "girls" on this forum is that they actually don't seem to realize how attractive they really are.
The "naked" truth is, women tend to be more analytical and critical about their own and other women's bodies. More so, than men are about theirs and other men.
On those occasions, when I've had to change my clothes in a ladies dressing room, I've felt other women's eyes checking me out, to see if I'm in as good a shape, as they are. Women tend to compare themselves to other women. I don't know if men do this, with other men, so much?
I'd rather undress in a locker room full of naked men than a locker room full of naked women any day. Men show their appreciation........ | |

Getting naked would be a bonus and it's all about confidence in yourself. Personally, I like the lights/candlelights on because I'm a visual guy.
Unless you have completely let yourself go and look like Jabba the Hut, then that is no ones fault but yourself.  | |

I've had the pleasure of skinny dipping with a woman who tried it for the first time and found it just as much fun as I do, and it was a great time. She wasn't perfect either, but that's the whole point - be comfortable with your body and nudity is a natural, enjoyable experience. | |

Of course, I didn't have much company, but sure felt good. I would prefer the light of the tv, or a candle. I wantz ta see too ya know...........................

Posted: 8/19/2009 1:57:36 PM | Neither do I, there comes a point in our lives when body acceptance is either there or not. After the age of 50 no one in their right mind will expect a concave stomach on a lady or a six pack on a guy. It just ain't happening.
Now feeling comfortable in one’s own skin is preferable. Now that hopefully we are mature adults and not gigglers anymore we have better acceptance of nudity. If you have never had the experience of going to a nudist facility, then I would suggest you do. It is a completely different experience that you will ever have. Feeling wind blow on parts of your body that never felt wind before, or having sun hit parts that never seen the sun is a feeling only to be felt in person, just a word of caution bring lots of sun screen as you will need it.
I have met all types of individuals from people with the best of jobs to the least of jobs and the good thing about it is that you cannot hide behind your clothing. That’s why I think they call it the Naked Truth. If you have nothing to hide behind, I guess it’s all you then, that’s when you find out just who and what you are.
And for all those who think that as soon as you see a naked body something will happen especially in guys, well I have been going to these laces for the last 20 years and I have never heard of this happening, not once. I think the brain becomes calm because it is flooded with so much it assumes that this is a norm and nothing happens.
After a while you really do not see anyone naked, you see a human being that’s all.
Basically it is variations on a theme, that’s all. | |

It's been suggested to me a lot lately, we have a great hot springs/spa facility near Portland, and I think that would be a fun, enjoyable and liberating experience for me. | |

But seriously, for someone dealing with body issues, I somehow don't think that stripping down naked and letting a whole nudist facility have a look/see would put anyone at ease. JMO.

I have never been to one. Rumour has it that when in Jamaica this winter, I will be in very close proximity of one. I "think" it is something that I would like to experience. Women, more so than men, are much much more critical of their bodies and I wish we were not that way. I am not perfect but when I look around I see others who are older, perhaps bigger than I and they have no issues with being themselves and are happy to enjoy all that "nekky" has to offer. Either outside or inside! No pun intended there folks! | |

I have got three things now, that I didn't have in my 20's , that makes getting nekkid awesome:
1. sensuality: I don't even think that word was invented yet...okay yeah it was...but I was clueless...and if this needs explaining...contact me.
2. a sense of humor: this can make or break an over 45 encounter!
3. we are all half blind! As I think Serenity said when this was first posted...Glasses off...its easier to kiss...
