| Do women always assume you are hitting on them when you speak to them? Posted: 6/23/2009 5:08:05 PM | If I would always assume a man is hitting on me, well, it would be like I could no longer move from the place... I like facts better.
However, if you assume women are always assuming you're hitting on them, maybe that's what YOU are really projecting on them... straight from the (under)lying subconcious... but in denial on the concious level...
Men and women can really be friends, just come clean, and your mind won't contradict your actions...

If you google it you will get some interesting results. The first one that comes up is from Dictionary.com, not exactly Websters that does give a definition, but read the google entries that come next..lol.

| Do women always assume you are hitting on them when you speak to them? Posted: 6/24/2009 11:49:18 AM | | No, actually it does not clear that up. The word is not in the Oxford English Dictionary, the most widely referenced. I just read an interview with the editor of the OED, and he said "conversate" is considered a word because people use it, but that does not make it an acceptable use of English. So while I am surprised that Websters listed it, I am happy to report that even though it is included therein, does not make it proper English, which was my original point. | |

If Oxford says the sky is purple then that should be considered the only opinion??? This is just my opinion on the subject. Everyone make their own decision as to wether you think its a word. I'll use it in Scrabble

Posted: 6/24/2009 10:13:17 PM | [ since i've never been to a pof party, i don't know how they operate] Terri, you post on here often, and you haven't been to a POF party? You're a bright gal, come on what ya waitn' for? And they operate just like any social event, guys hangn' with guys, gals hangn' with gals, lol. Based on RD's report of parties in Detroit, seems to me the fun, friendly folks are in W. Mich...

i remember the first time i heard the word "conversate." i was getting my hair cut and the gal said, "all's i do is conversate all day." i was thinking excuse me? LOL. i came home and looked it up. it was no where to be found. now, several years later i hear it all the time. i wonder how it started. at the time i was thinking the gal was an idiot and she must have meant converse, LOL.
my 7 year old nephew is not allowed to use God's name in vain. so one day last week i said something and he said, "O M G." so i looked at him and said, "what is om-gee?" and he said, "you know, O-M-G. mom says i can't use God's name in vain."
I ABOUT DIED LAUGHING. people use OMG and WTF in typing all day long, but i never heard anyone say it and spell it verbally.
parties, hmmm. i may just go to one!

| Do women always assume you are hitting on them when you speak to them? Posted: 6/26/2009 10:17:00 PM | | MIoutdoorsman, differences of opinion is what forums are all about. I didn't pout when pinkfairie started harassing me on the previous page, though I came close to reporting her to the mods. In the end I let it slide as her statements said more about her than it did about me. Onderzoeker gave the definition of what many people feel when they hear that word. I know that I do, and for that you seemed intent on putting me "in my place". My grammar is far from perfect and I have made many errors in speech here myself. On this matter I gave my opinion and you gave yours. Let's let it rest now and let this thread return to it's subject if anyone still cares. Peace. | |

| Do women always assume you are hitting on them when you speak to them? Posted: 6/27/2009 3:34:44 PM | | You were going to report me? All I did was try and hook you up with Terri. You were wondering why women wouldn't respond to you and I simply stated maybe it was because you act like a "boorish clod". Whats the matter with that? Touchy, touchy. By the way have you made a date with Terri yet? | |

The real question is....what do you have against Terri that you don't want to ask her out? No real discernable qualities? No money? Just not into Terri? Just really want to be left alone with your computer? I bet even Terri wonders why you don't send her a message.

| Do women always assume you are hitting on them when you speak to them? Posted: 6/28/2009 7:35:46 AM | | Ok. One more. I'm sorry if I gave you any impression at all of being interested in you. Of course you wouldn't be interested in me. I'm too good for you. You see...I am not interested in boring, crybaby, wussy men. You made yourself known to us as such. So keep flapping your uncontrollable lips about how pitiful you are. We'll all tuck you in at night from our computers. K? I think Terri is too much of a lady to contact you first. If you have one shred of manliness in you, I believe you should contact her first. Now I'll let you have the last word. I don't believe you have a clue though. | |
