Posted: 6/3/2009 10:52:47 PM | I'll be camping.. just the Saturday night, will arrive Saturday afternoon as long as its not tipping it down; And much as I'd like to sleep in Sunday I'll be the saddo whipping my tent down early next morning  as (weather permitting) I'll be doing my usual thing on Sunday 
Perhaps you could put a picture of a fish on top of a pole Joe so we can mark the spot where we're all meeting in the market square?!!! | |

They moan if my payment is slow but they take forever to post stuff. Glad someone's camping over. I'll be down in the town from 3 to 5 ish helping out and taking tables n chairs for us. I won't be able to drink cos I've got to collect them too. :o( oh well. | |

Posted: 6/4/2009 5:05:16 PM | I have a nasty feeling that this is going to be cancelled by the event organiser over which I have very little control. I'll go round and see him tomorrow find out whats happening. Wish they'd learn to forecast, two days ago it was showing clear for saturday
Is anyone planning to camp friday night? please contact me.
I don't know what to say, That's forecast continuous rain from 4 Friday through till Monday. | |

I WILL be attending tonight, despite this goddam awful weather this morning, which has been constant since YESTERDAY. The forecast is for the rain to cease sometime around 6pm, so may just get a dry evening, hope so anyway.
It will also be my first POF meeting, so lots of firsts for me today.
Would love to see lots of other members there too, but judging by the responses Ive read, it doesnt appear very likely.
Should be SOMETHING for everyone. | |

The band have said they aren't prepared to risk thousands of pounds of sound equipment getting damaged on a may be that it may stop raining this evening. If anyone still turns up the hog roast is on at the wine bar. I'll go down at 7 as arranged in case anyone does turn up.
They'll rearrange it for later in the year when it's a bit drier. Second time they've had to cancel due to wet weather, they were booked for last September.
The Cannock meet hosted by Jo will go ahead next Saturday so you're all welcome to go to that. For those Leicester way there's syn at Deby which is a new venue hosted by Barbelbill. Also there's a Nottingham meet coming up. | |

I don't know what the organiser was thinking when he was looking to stage this as an event !looking at his previous post on other party threads, he has in the past been very quick to critisize other hosts or get little sly digs in. I suggest people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones and look at the other successful parties held up & down the county and seek some advice. | |

Well I just found out its off er on but no beatles doh! beatlegs what a shame bloody british weather. Unfortunately I have only just returned from shopping and scoffing bangers and mash would love to come but had a hard week and really could do with a few wines tonight so don't fancy driving and seeing as I can't camp will probably not make it :( I was looking forward to it.
I may change my mind last minute and pop over for an hour are we looking for the fish?
Wasn't too keen on not nicebutnicks comments unfortunately we can't control the weather. | |

Posted: 6/6/2009 6:15:15 PM | Well, I enjoyed it Joe! Everyone in the wine bar had a smashing night, and some of the kareoki singers were actually very good! The hog roast was delish, the rain (of course) held off all evening, but it was a shame the band pulled the plug on it, frightened of getting all their gear drenched I guess. Certainly NOT your fault, and you were back and forward checking on campers several times so you did take your hosting very seriously!
