Why did you guys choose to use Plenty of Fish? Are you currently using any other dating sites?
It's completely free, and yes, I am on some other free ones.

Are you here looking for friends, dates, or relationships?
In order: a relationship; to engage in mental warfare on the forums; friends.

What would be a deal breaker on here--as in, what would someone say in a message/email/phone call to you that would make you be like, "delete, block, goodbyyyye!"
Anything perverted about my kids; anything to do with trying to get me to vote conservative; anything with too many grammatical/spelling errors.

It's the only 100% truly free dating site that I know of. Too many dating sites have fees that are too high for many of us to afford. I can't afford the memberships on most fee driven dating sites. And most of those sites keep raising their fees.

Financially challenged folks deserve a dating site too!

POF is just a way for me to increase my chances of meeting someone. I never did see a point in paying to use an online dating site when there are plenty of social networking sites I could use for free. I like how POF has a forum and how people can create their own profiles.

...Why did you guys choose to use Plenty of Fish?...

It is Free and the forums.

... Are you currently using any other dating sites?...

No.

...Are you here looking for friends, dates, or relationships?...

Dating, if it leads to more, bonus.

..What would be a deal breaker on here--as in, what would someone say in a message/email/phone call to you that would make you be like, "delete, block, goodbyyyye!"...

#1 reason why I read/delete and email from someone, is this they have something in their Mail Settings that would prevent me from making the 1st contact. Just seems hypocritical to me.

I was told theres free cookies, wheres my cookies?

Ok, I guess because first it's free and does have a lot of people here, in my area too which makes a change.
And theres a lot of features even pay sites don't have to help you find out who your talking to and if you match.

I'm here looking for a serious relationship, which starts as friends and dating of course.
I've made a few friends tho which is good and seems just helped to hook up someone who messaged me by mistake and is now a good friend.
Makes you fee all warm and fuzzy doesn't it

Deal breakers, someone i just don't gel with or mucks me around.

plentyoffish is free i did meet someone of it.. but now im single again and find it 100% useless

vast majority of ppl on it are being spammed so much they dont bother to reply to any messages.. or they aren't active.

zoosk is better but you can only send and recieve messages once then u must pay.. so lots of ppl give away email addresses and so forth or give out facebook details. Have already met 2 girls from zoosk. And talked to many more. This has been about 6 times more effective than fish where ive message literally over 50 girls and recieved almost nothign in return.

This is a joke considering im quite handsome, a good age and im not a sex maniac like some blokes on here.

Why did you guys choose to use Plenty of Fish? Are you currently using any other dating sites?
No. I have used others in the past, and they do not allow as much interaction with others members.

Are you here looking for friends, dates, or relationships?
Yes, all of the above.

What would be a deal breaker on here--as in, what would someone say in a message/email/phone call to you that would make you be like, "delete, block, goodbyyyye!"
The obvious non-acceptable comments and messages.
Negativity. Someone who isn't looking for the same thing that I am. Skirt-chasers who are simply looking for more.....er.......skirt.

A friend of mine used it, and she said that I would get all kinds of tail on here. She lied. No, this is the only site I ever used. I'm glad I found these forums on my first try without even knowing what a forum is.

Are you here looking for friends, dates, or relationships?

I don't care if I meet people here. If I do...cool.

What would be a deal breaker on here...

I pretty much would leave it all on the table because everyone has good and bad attributes. But, if she lives too far, then I wouldn't pursue a relationship with her.

I signed up on another free site but it was a meat market and I got the most wicked computer virus there. I ran away and never looked back.
I was introduced to PoF forums via cellphone forums and eventually allowed
my curiosity to rule and posted a profile.
Met my current bf here 3 yrs ago.
No other sites and my profile is in hide mode.

I heard about this site roughly three years ago from some younger guys who raved about how easy it was to get laid by going to this site. I guess it must work better for the younger crowd because women my age seem to be deathly afraid to leave the house.
I have had one meetup for coffee that turned out to be a fun night of laughs and beers but no spark.
Have had one woman send me a pic of her sprawled on a couch with a cucumber shoved into her nether region and was led along on a string for what seemed like an endless chat session on the now defunct IM system. That turned out badly when after I kept pressing her to smile and it turned she had horrid teeth.

Then I discovered the forums and this site just became a venting outlet, that and I like farcuer have discovered that I am undatable because I do not make enough money, don't have the right job, not nearly enough good looks to lure anyone aay from their keyboard and my car sucks.

Deal breaker was close when it seemed like they may turn this into a pay site but no one knows who I am here and could possibly do or say anything to make me give it up.
So there. Pffffffffffttttttt!!!!

POF have really changed the way I approach the opposite sex. With the ease and comfort of my newly purchase snuggie wrap around me...man a blanket with sleeves you gotta love that! I am now able to click on my computer get to view hundred upon hundred of the most fascinating women on this planet, and get rejected by 85% of them (not a scientific finding...just my own assumption) and what exactly is geographically undesirable and thanks, but no thanks...I already got a man...huh? I am really enjoying this snuggie, might have to purchase another since I am finding myself staying up all night getting rejected by strange women! Hm mm...I wonder if that Pedicare for dogs will work on my toenail? One day my computer love will show her face or is that a photo to me...one can get confuse here pretty quickly. Wow! Check that out the Shamwow...now that is something I can really get into to...Clap Off!

Because it's free and I don't want to pay for something that I have yet to see any net benefit from in the way of any kind of meaningful relationship. I could go down to Starbucks and talk to women just like I can on here. Heck, I could even jog there so as to save gas. This is just convenient and it costs me nothing. I guess you might get what you pay for, but that's a leap of faith I am not willing to take, so I stick to this site and don't plan on joining any pay sites.

I chose POF because it was/is free.

Have used other dating sites in the past, but not currently.

Originally signed up hoping to find a date which might eventually turn into a mate. In the first year I met a few fellows, but nothing became of it. So now I'm here just for the fun of the forums.

What makes me hit delete, block? Rudeness....or just a general feeling of Ick. Creepy. Uck.

Not so much that it's 'FREE"...[a LOT of sites are 'free' ....to create a profile, and Browse]
but here, you can actually _Contact People_ Free..!!
Rather than soak the members for $$$, they get their revenue from advertising....
However...When I see the _1_st GEICO commercial, here....
I'm _G O N E_!!!!
****
Looking for an LTR with a nice Lady....
I used to be a member of a Dozen other sites, [reduced to 3] but they were all -Pay-fer-options-types
I've had a hacker dig up my e-mail and home address and send me a couple of threatening letters...

Why did you guys choose to use Plenty of Fish?

Define "use". I'm out of the dating pool while I get my life together -so I'm just here for the forums.

Are you currently using any other dating sites?
No. I've got a profile on I made in 06 and never used, and I keep trying eharmony but they keep saying I'm psyco :p

Are you here looking for friends, dates, or relationships?
Mostly I'm here to lounge around the forums and get into really stupid but cathartic arguments.

Three words: "I vote republican". :D
Glibness aside, there's a lot of them, being ignorant, being racist, being obnoxiously socially conservative (I don't care what anyone believes, really, but after 14 years of this shit, I'm sick of hearing about it!).

People don't really seem to mail each other on this site that much, though, at least according to the forums; so I don't anticipate it being much of a problem...

the above should read:

i've joined a few but i think this site is on top. my aunt was on here and told me about it and i gave it a look.

im looking for all 3? i mean a relationship really but it starts out as friends first right?

ah giving a number in the 1st email will not make me call you or reply to you, making a comment about my breast will not make me contact you. i usually like a smooth talker someone who is them selves and you can read it in the email, if u sound like ur tryin to hard then delete.

I'd say I'm on here because like others it's free. Places like singlesnet which is a haven for scammers from my experiences doesn't really keep my interest.

I like it here and on OKC as there are the forums to converse with others.

I was doing a 'what ever happened to' search for a friend of mine who last time we talked did have the net (I didn't at the time) coz he mentioned something he just had no interest in viewing regardless of whether it was popular at the time.

He was a bit of a tease in that he liked to know that I found him attractive but he was looking for someone to marry and there was no way I was the one in either his eyes or my own.

So I started searching dating sites first coz if he was married I didn't want to contact him. Went through about 20 'free to register' but wasn't going to pay to find out. Found POF and decided to stop worrying about it and look for someone for myself instead.

Main reason I wanted to hook up with again was coz he could talk for hours and I was lonesome for some company. Closed the other accounts that would allow me too -- some were scams and no matter how many times I clicked delete my profile they kept sending me emails.

Finally closed my email account.

It is free and easy to use. I just thought I would check this place out but I don't really have any expectations from it. If I meet someone on here and it turns into something then that is great but I don't worry about it.
