Posted: 5/20/2009 9:29:09 AM | Perhaps I've misread the situation, but it seems to me that while there is always a permanently disgruntled element on here who only ever smile when they've got wind, the nasty threads/posts of late have mainly been the work of one individual with multiple profiles who's sole intent is to stir things up and get a reaction. Because this herbert gets the desired response, other sad little buggers who would otherwise get no attention see it as a chance to get some too, and follow suit. Any attention is better than none at all, sort of thing.
As has been said - ignore them and they will soon give up. Feed them, and you just validate their purpose and make the situation worse. | |

There is a case to be made for the current increase in nastiness to be down to the upcoming elections.
I think it's more likely to be due to upcoming erections or lack thereof, spring is in the air, the sap is rising ........................ and not a lot else

This is a self policing state, the mods are so few they are like willow the wisp just appearing now and again. If the forums where not being so ignored it wouldn't be as free as it is now. If you ALL stopped reporting each other it would be anything goes! pretty much.
Is this coincidental? Or is it carefully modelled? To be discussed with Markus over a beer would be the only answer to that.
Anyway this is what you have all created! Be proud of it, In all its glory!
And just do your bit.

sometimes people want to a place to vent their frustration ... and it is frustrating being on a dating site and not being abke to find a date ...... men have to put a lot of effort into just getting a reply women by comparison have to work less hard.
i have not had an unsolicited message in my mail box on here for weeks ... maybe longer .... how many women here have not been mailed in the last two weeks ??
personally i find the funny-fukcers more annoying than the moaners ... the ones who try to make a joke of everything and hardly ever reply with anything that is relevant to the thread ... and the forum flirts, wink wink, are even more annoying ... | |

A good moan and winge every now and then is the norm, I assume, but those that are always doing it, are a pain in the ass, its a negative trait, therefore unattractive ..
What they need is to open their eyes,remove the blinkers and see people who really have something to moan about.................but don't!
Some people do not actually realise how lucky they are ...

The people with the attention span of a gnat wreck the threads with their lack of comprehension skills - I think they read about four or five words into a post along with the title and decide they know what the thread is about then answer a completely different OP which they conjured up in their own minds after scant reading.
I do it myself sometimes ..but not all the time like some - I wish they'd stop it. | |

Why do you think people behave this way? as if they are entitled to some kind of wonder woman/man when they offer little in return but critisism. Are we expecting too much?
There seems to be a high number of people who delight (excuse the pun) in putting others down while thinking they are a unique catch whom one would be lucky to ensare. I find avoidance of those types is best I prefer someone who is accepting of his own set of faults as I certainly have a few. | |

The only complaint I have about this forum is that too many posters don't pay attention, it's kind of annoying.
The posters who insist on sharing every aspect of their life, their family's life, with us, instead of debating and stopping on topic ..
The ones that have at least 5 I's in every paragraph, the posts where you no longer bother to read, as it is off topic mindless twaddle..
There seems to have been a spate of this, although it does seem to be getting better ...
I used to be one of those people although Ive calmed down/chilled out a lot lately lol but at least I know my faults.
I wanted certain people on here to stop and think how they might be coming across I'm not going to name names but there are a couple of people here who do nothing but berate the opposite sex yet say they are actively looking and then moan they cant find anyone who fits their criteria, and i want to shout at them "your posts appear on your profile, youre coming across as a judgemental whiney pri.ck because for the last few months thats all you've done and you wonder why women aren't replying to your mails" lol.
That is imho their prerogative, however as the last 5 posts no longer appear on our profiles it is no longer relevant ...

If you are getting complaints on a regular basis, perhaps you are doing something wrong...There are extensive texts available on the internet for your guidance in this area...
Perhaps you could ask your partner why he or she is dissatisfied...
