but i am sure the next event i will go to will see me get to shark status.

If I went up to the bar with 2.40 do you think I'd get a drink for being 'only 40 pence' short. You are entitled to make valid criticism without being called a pratt. We've been through all this in Warrington thread. If the host just says okay fairy nuff, sorry that happened, thats the end of it, but it has to have a comment attached that to me implies we don't care cos no one else moaned. You probably don't mean it to but it comes across as an attack for valid criticism.
For reference a pint was 3 pound at Birmingham meet, It's 3.10 in our hotel here, 2.80 at one and 2.40 at the other singles night I go to, the first is a night club. So I think it's a fair price for a city centre club. Maybe towards the top but acceptable. You do realise another ten pence has gone on cos of the budgie? He needs feeding you know.

Posted: 5/25/2009 8:11:09 PM | hi all, can i personally say hi and thanks to everyone who came along today, sorry if i didnt have time to chat to you all, but i was hopping a bit about all day, ( no rest for the wicked)
so a big thanks to all who turned up by themselves or with friends who had never been to a social in their life before or even coming to a club by yourself, hats off to you all , and whether it was your first time in Madness, i hope you received a warm welcome from the party hosts and look forward to seeing you all again in the future
also to those who had the guts to get up for the speed dating and being patient with a cpl of teething problems, (1 being not enough guys lol) i hope you all had a bit of fun and gave us the chance to improve on future events. , i know there were a few interesting answers and questions on the day lol
talking i of which, apologies to whose that didint get time to sing, even if we d kept the public out till 8pm, there was no way to have all the singers in the alloted time, so we know how to improve on that . and thanks to all that did entertain us
i hope you all enjoyed the free food as well, and know there ware a lot of ppl happy with the c=cktails and i am sure there will be some hangovers in the morning.
if you do have any constructive comments, please feel free to email madness direct, as the hosts did a fantastic job looking after you, so dont give them the brunt, if you werent happy with any particular thing
on that note, if you want to have a chat, please message me directly, or say hi if you ever get to the club., and as an added extra, look out for the pink madness limo outside the horseshoe bar on a friday night or aorund glasgow city centre and get free entry tickets as well (before 12)

Had been looking forward to coming along but, have to be honest, got an offer I couldnt refuse from a gorgeous man  lol. Will for sure be along to the next one as did pass around 6.00 pm and it looked like everyone was having a great time from what little I managed to see. So, hopefully get to meet you all soon.

madness has a strict rule,you dont get in with trainers,end off.
the meet was from 2pm until 8 pm then they let the public in where the trainer rule comes in to force.
madness turned lots of people away during the day who were not fish,i think they did very well keeping it for fish between the hours allocated to pof members.
hope this clears this up a little. | |

Free speech is all very well but sometimes if you have nothing nice to say its better saying nothing at all..
The host done a wonderfull job and i take my hat off to them..
It was a great very well organised day and it was made clear before we all went about the dress code, the time of the events and the time the fish supers were getting dished out.
As for getting short changed at the bar the bar staff are only human and we can all make a mistake..
I really have to say this to U2r1 to hang about for 10 min for 40p ermm think that says more about you really  The 40p would'nt even have covered the cost of the carton for your FREE fish super  | |

Posted: 5/26/2009 2:16:43 AM | I remember the thread on the warrington meet joe is talking about and the guy in q wasnt slated for making a positive criticism he was slated for having a go and being rude about problems on the night. Problems the hosts had already addressed and apologised for. Those problems were made by the venue staff and not hosts but they apologised and explained why they happened but this guy still had a go at the hosts. Now i do think this is getting out of hand and as i said b4 its starting to get very boring and childish so can we just put an end to this and remember that the majority of people enjoyed the day/night and as has been said b4 we cant please everyone.

u no who you are in which cases i will be no longer attending your socials
I was going 2 host a paisley meet but I wont due to this so called co host at the previous level of attendance it dose not matter were you can get 10 people or 2.000 going its the company your are in enjoying a great social night out an not being rip of
I had many request to host 1 for this great town but sadly it wont happen
