Actually, after looking at your picture, I'm not surprised. You look like a man who is confident, sure of who he is and in his "abilities" to please. I doubt if much of anything intimidates you. Good for you!
Gaddflye; Never trust a woman who tells you how sexy she is. If she has to tell you that, it usually means she's not. It means she's trying to convince herself that she is sexy. You will know "sexy" when you see it.

Posted: 10/2/2009 8:05:36 AM | | it is very hard to know what anyone is thinking or feeling..i feel men over 50 are very different than under 50...they need to be approached differently...they are looking for a more complete relationship...you also have to appreciate a man who is a little worn around the edges...you have to know if this is what you are looking for...they are more serious...in the long run and if the long run is what you are looking for they would hang with you...however, men can be hard to live with so that has to be considered... | |

I also find that older women have a better sense of humour, don't get jealous easily and generally more fun to be with. Older women make great lovers, it would seem that they appreciate what their partners do for them intimately. The sole exception being my ex-girlfriend, who at 55, created more drama for me than anyone I was ever with period. I stayed angry at her for a long time, now when I see her I just laugh her off. Anyways I feel that older women are more inclined to appreciate a man who doesn't mind doing romantic things for them. | |

Some men ARE intimidate, some men are not..
Me.??? . NO way I'm "intimidated"...
Only problem that I can see is ... (for ME personaly)
older = wiser.. and .... sexy = wants similiar..
Sooo.. I find it more difficult to trick em into dating me..
even when I use Brad Pitt's photo to" lure em" for the sexy part..!!

OT: I don't know if I would qualify the intimidation by age but rather by personality i.e., the shyer men could probably be intimidated by any woman, irregardless of age. | |

Maybe when we were "Young Men", we might of been intimidated.
But basicly, once you "Get Your Feet Wet",...its a whole wide world out there to sow those wild Oats.
When I see an attractive, sexy woman, having every man in the rooms attention,..I just leave them alone,..I figure they are getting exactly what they want.
I dont want to dissapoint their ego, so, if they approach me to make small talk, and ask
"Why", I havent been paying attention,... I'll tell them if I find them attractive or sexy, but I'll tell them Im not gonna act a fool trying to be the "Lucky One" to score points with her, regardless......
I dont require "Eye Candy", to be Happy, ...
Im Happy, even tho Im not currently dating,
It doesnt bother me to give my point of View,....
To me,....If a "Lady", is attractive, she doesnt have to "Show Off" in order to impress others,
I find a woman "Sexy" if she can just be herself, and NOT have to keep trying to impress upon you, how "Attractive" they "Still" are. | |

TruGold What does "sexy" mean to you? Do older men sometimes feel that if an older woman is still sexy minded, that means he may not be able to keep up with her?

So dislike when ALL are lumped together.
No one size fits all. When I look around I see many men over the age of forty,fifty, sixty who are married to women near their own age. And I see many who are married to women ten or more years older and younger.
Personally I don't give a rats patoie what someone's age is as long as they have someone in the life who wants, needs them and gives their life fullness and joy.

...Laughing here. Oh yes, the same thing " does happen"... speaking for myself of course....I have found myself in the same situation and blurting out something so totally ridiculous, then thinking..."Did I just say that?"
The thing is I work with mostly men in almost every capacity....I personally supervise the maintenance dept of our company....I work with the police dept, city officials, deal with tradesmen.... and yet, when it comes to someone I'm attracted to, I become a blithering idiot.

Mae I know exactly how you feel last time that happened I was on the phone and realized I had just sounded like a stupid money hungry ****...which so isnt me...i was just so nervous.
...Hey, I was on the phone today and I don't think I tripped over my tongue once. I think it all depends upon the guy too, how comfortable he makes you feel.
