Like agreeing to sign Russian fighters and staging an UFC event in Russia. It's not just a straight Fedor will fight Couture and make X amount of dollars contract. | |

he didn't look so great against his last opponent. Yes he won but Arvloski had him going. I think he gets beat in UFC and if it takes 3 years to get here, forget it.
Had him going. 
He landed one soild punch, and that was an uppercut when Fedor clinched.
The rest of the head shots were either slipped or barely made contact.
Fedor made contact tho. And when he did....everyone knew. | |

I'm not sure what you're laughing about. Everyone - with the exception of yourself - had Arlovski beating Fedor decisively until Fedor got the KO. This would be like Frank Mir trying to say that he wasn't in toruble with Brock Lesnar in their first match.
"Had him going" is a very accurate description of the match. | |

I've seen exchanges in that fight in slow motion and Fedor was slipping punches.
If he wasn't.....then his face would have shown it.
He didn't so much as have a scatch on his face after that fight.
And this is the same guy that got busted open from one punch by Matt Lindland.
Fedor was avoiding the big shots......and then made AA look like an ass.
The whole thing has been so hyped up.
People act like there was no doubt that had he not thrown the knee, he would have won.
The fight lasted 3 minutes and 14 seconds. | |

You can go ahead and add me to that exception also. Arlovski was outpointing him up to when he got KOed but I wouldn't go as far as to say he was winning decisively. And Dwyane made a good point: Fedor was slipping the majority of those shots so he really wasn't in any kind of trouble.
Now if that would have continued for five rounds - IF - then Arlovski might have won but it never got quite that far........ that's the beauty of MMA........and what makes Fedor the one of the best..... 
Also I don't know if Mir was really in that much trouble against Brock either. I think Mir was willing to let Brock take him to the ground and risk taking a few shots knowing he could take advantage of Brock's inexperience and catch him in a quick submission (which he did) as opposed to dancing around the ring for five rounds trying to outpoint Brock while trying to avoid those giant fists and/or takedowns.

Fedor will be in the UFC sooner or later---it's just a matter of time. He can waste time in DREAM or Sengoku for awhile; but, eventually, he will be in the UFC.
As for Affliction, they were on their last legs even before the bad news about Barnett. They wouldn't have made enough to stay afloat even if Barnett had remained on the card. Well, I would like to think so, too. But it's worth noting that Barnett beat Couture before. So, if you don't give much of a chance to Barnett.............
I think Brock would have a very good chance against Fedor. His power and speed are no joke. | |
