I will be coming alone, have an extra 2 man tent if anyone needs it. Not sure what I'll be bringing to the pot luck yet, I'll figure out something. I'll get there Fri. evening sometime. Looking forward to this :) Thanks for answering the questions.
1. How many guests you are planning on bringing. 2. What Pot Luck item are you bringing for Saturday's dinner 3. Your approximate arrival date and time 4. What type of shelter are you using, tent or RV 5. Are you bringing an extra shelter for those that may not have one. 6. Anything else you are bringing to share

Want to know if there is a big enough shelter for everyone if the weather get's nasty this weekend? It will hold about 100, there is also a covered patio area, then some people will want to get wet and it won't matter, and others will have their own screenhouse or other shelters.

FYI - there is an 18 hole disc golf course between Rt. 4 and Rt. 739 that is about 10 to 15 minutes drive from there at Sawyer Ludwig Park Sounds good, if the doctor would let me I'd be throwing.

Is also an 18 hole golf course with clubs and little white balls and carts on the edge of New Bloomington on Route 95, Windy Acres. Bout same distance wise if not closer. Now that's an all day event, instead of an hour or two, actually there should be plenty to do at the farm.

I actually live here in Marion. This is a great opportunity. Do people usually show up that aren't registered? I really don't see anyone around my age. My friend and cousin want to come. They are 23 and 26. Yes, last year at a similar event we had 182 sign up and 320 in attendance. The best way to get people your age to attend is to start inviting them. Invite as many people as you can, let them know you would like to meet them but it's not a one-on-one date. Inform them they can bring or invite as many people as they want as well. That way if you are not their ideal match they will have more people to interact with.

Really looking forward to this, it's the 1st POF event I've attended. I'll be their Saturday with my tent and cooler.
Is there plenty of tent camping and can I park next to my tent ? Sounds GREAT! The tent camping is around the pond, we have separate areas to park, it would be too crowded and unsafe having cars in that area. We have a strip about 50' by 400' around the pond for two concentric circles of tents around it.

Ditto. Looks like a ton of fun, but not seeing a whole lot of registeree's in the 20-29 range. Tryin to scrounge up some friends, but they are telling me the same thing. So put me down as a maybe... If you and your friends would sign up then there would be more reason for others that are looking for you to sign up as well. Here are the ages of the youngest people registered to attend: 21, 22, 22, 24, 25, 26, 28, 28, 29, 30, 31, 31, 33, 33, 33, 34, 35, 35, 36, 37, 37, 38, 38, 39 and 39. Just like you there are probably may younger people looking at this saying the same thing. Until someone takes an action there will not be a re-action.
If seitz and lookn4peas would singup and bring their already mentioned friends the age group under 30 would jump from 9 to 15 and that's all it takes to start the ball rolling.
Sign up and they will too!

I would so much like to go and be a part of this relaxing weekend......Such short notice..............no way can I plan something during this time of year in two weeks. I have weekends off which is great, but already have plans for this one. Hopefully next year if it is kind of in the thought stage it would be nice to have a months notice at least. Hope you all have a wonderful time.... keep things SEMI calm at least..... so their is a NEXT YEAR! Enjoy everyone! Sad I can't squeeze away even for one of the days.

| 06-19-2009 to 06/21/2009 --- Camp-out and Beach House Party in the middle of Ohio - Marion, OH Posted: 6/17/2009 3:51:15 AM | Hey guys! I think I'm going to be making a Columbus road trip this weekend and I'm including the Saturday night potluck here as part of it. Since I'm traveling from Cleveland, are there any suggestions on what I can bring that I can purchase in Columbus or prepare with minimal effort at the event?
Is the parking area going to be well-marked and a path to the pavillion paved in gold so when I arrive after all the weekenders I can find my way to the party?
