In that case you are in luck... she is up for nomination this week!
along with Freddy, now known as Halfwit.

But those original contestants didn't know that millions of people would watch and the tabloids would sell their stories etc. No-one could have predicted the "celebrity" status that BB led to. I watched the first few and bits of later ones and there has been a very clear change in the kind of people on there! You said yourself you didn't watch the first ones and I don't think you'd say what you just have if you had!
I agree with you in that nobody realised quite the smash hit they had on their hands, it saved the life of Heat magazine after all. I firmly believe however that the contestants didn't enter the house for the first series with higher values than to get on the telly and make some easy money. For the majority of BB contestants that is all they have had out of it. Who remembers the losers and the also rans. The ones that have had sustained celebrity are those whom we have adopted as such. And who are they really (who is she? Who is she?). The only one who really stayed in the public eye, and worked hard to ensure that she would was Jade. The rest of them are definitely z list, wheeled out for BBLB to remind us who they are. Some of them are still working in niche telly, Michelle (No. Naked. Jacuzzi. Ness) had her boobs done and went into adult telly, as did another one whose name escapes me. Nikki has written a book on anorexia and is occasionally paraded round the celebrity magazines. Usually only when BB is on though. What happened to the rest of them. Even Pete, what is he doing? Does anybody care?
Anyway, like I said before, I revised my opinion and now I fecking love it. I missed it tonight, playing on the Wii, what happened, anyone care to fill me in? I've already voted for the little screechy one to go. Half-wit still has some entertainment value, I think.

| Big Brother 10.....2009....... Posted: 6/10/2009 4:05:56 PM | I wanted Sree to be up for eviction, his constant questioning others if they like him and how he's portrayed annoys the hell out of me.
I think Sophia is the whose going to get the boot, she is argumentative and another one that's quite annoying. Mainly because she argues with no reason.
I still like Siavash the most, think he's really nice guy.
Felt really sorry for Angel tonight, Rodrigo was stupid telling her she was way too negative and that she should be positive all the time and then going to tell others about it as well! grr!!

Thats great news!
Although I can just imagine another screeching episode if she's evicted on Friday so It looks like the volume on the TV will have to be turned completely off.
What a joke putting Freddie the half wit up to be nominated just because he boiled all the eggs!
After he went to all that trouble of making dinner for everyone also..........
Hopefully the voting public will save him as I agree that he is quite entertaining.......

Saffia, she's left her 7 month old baby to go into the house for up to three months? WTF is she thinking?! This is the main reason I never liked her from the off, 3 months is a long long time when you're 7 months old and I think its disgusting.
After watching last night's, I'm thinking Sophia is turning into Alex with her "gangsta" talk and attempts at causing trouble.
Dog face seems ok, though she's very dim and having to be shown how to wash a cup?! She did seem to get about a bit last night though, or maybe she's just very friendly?
Half Wit is trying too hard and that facial expression of his is just making my skin crawl.
I like Angel now, though when she went in she gave me the creeps cos she reminded me of the Child Catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
Carly does my head in with her constant preening and looking in the mirror....and what's with the having a fag standing on the bench?
We're liking Marcus but that's probably cos he reminds us of Sabretooth.
Siavash is one of my faves, though his relationship with Ciaron is slightly disturbing.
Shri is doing my head in and I really think he needs to get out of there and get some therapy!
Lisa and Rodrigo (sp?) seem like pretty normal people, but time will tell.
I'm torn on the eviction this week, both of them are getting under my skin, so I won't be fussed either way.......in fact, in an ideal world, they'd both be booted out!

My daughter said exactly the same thing. It's still bugging me exactly who she reminds me of, definitely an actress and one with an Eastern European/Russian accent. Maybe she's a mole? It will keep me occupied for days (completely off topic, I was watching UFO the other day, an old classic, 70s sci fi show and saw a baby-faced actor that I recognised. Looked for his name but didn't recognise that either. Two days later, I realised it was Lou from neighbours)
J has confessed to a crush on Marcus, just because of the wolverine look. I soon put a stop to that when I said he looked like a baby version of my bezzy's dad.
Anybody spotted a likely winner yet?

Channel 4 will be the clear winner, earning millions from the voters.

Anybody spotted a likely winner yet? Its early days, but I'm thinking Rodrigo (sp?).
Apart from being cute and having a lovely accent (therfore appealing to the young girls), he seems at the moment to be very sensible, well mannered and is extremely good at having a conversation. I love the way he asks questions and waits for answers unlike many that just talk over each other in order to be in the spotlight.
He did go a bit wobbly last night with his rant at Angel, but I do think he was also right, they should be happy they're in there in the first place.
I actually said to my 14 year old son while we were watching it that I'd be very proud if he turned out like that.........a good boy......SO FAR!
Who knows what'll happen over the next few weeks though.

| Big Brother 10.....2009....... Posted: 6/11/2009 9:23:42 AM | Sree - Does my head in and I hope he goes next week. He's so insecure about everything, constantly goes round asking if he's liked and he got right on my nerves last night when Sophia and him were telling each other to shut up and he got it in his head she said something about his mum, rather than talk to her about it, he decided to **** about it to everyone else Marcus - I like him, think he's a little cute hehe Kris - Seems alright Saffia - Disagree with the fact she has decided to go into the house when she has a 7 month old baby on the outside. She's missing 3 months of its life and all the important milestones. Plus I find her very selfish in regards to tasks and stuff, Karly - Ummm...not sure about her to be honest. I'll come back to her another time Siavash - Needs to get a room with Ciaron, they are so blatantly harbouring some sexual tension between them lol! I love my friends very much but they can wash their own hair thanks a lot Ciaron - Does my head in with his constant "I got yo' back dawg, yo know that dawg" and pull your god damn trousers up! Grrrr Charlie - Reminds me of Billy Elliott for some reason. Wasn't really impressed he decided to go through Siavash's things without asking. Dogface - Peed me off talking about the fact she want's a lip job and Botox. She doesn't need it, I think she's attractive enough. Halfwit - Seems nice enough but I do wish he'd stop the concerts he feels the need to do, especially at bed time lol. Rodrigo - Nice and can understand why he was telling Angel to be positive although his way of telling her was a bit mean. People deal with things in different ways and he needs to understand that. Angel - I think she's rather nice and sensitive. I would like to see her doll herself up a bit just to see how different she looks. Even let her hair down, as she looks so serious with it up. But I draw the line at sucking raw eggs. Ewwww Sophia - Earplugs needed please! Enough said! Lisa - She does seem nice and I can understand her getting annoyed at the girls Dogface and Karly spending a token on Alcohol without asking if anyone else wanted anything. Noirin - Oh I really don't know. Most of them have one thing in common, they are all out for themselves and their five minutes of fame. | |

| Big Brother 10.....2009....... Posted: 6/11/2009 12:44:10 PM | Anyone see BBLB and the IQ scores tonight? Now, I know that the tests weren't properly conducted and that therefore the results should be taken with a pinch of salt but, Lisa scored 55. That's the IQ of a peanut! Only three of them scored over 100 (the average),with 122, 125 and 128. Several of them scored below 85 (67% of the population should score between 85 - 115) and Lisa wasn't the only one whose score meant that they probably shouldn't be making adult decisions on their own!
Now, we've all accepted that they are vacuous wannabees but even so, anyone else shocked by the result?

Didn't watch it so thanks for the info Hula.
That's pretty bad even for BB contestants and I really thought Lisa had a bit more about her!
Do you know who the three that scored above 100 were?

Do you know who the three that scored above 100 were? Marcus (122), can't remember (125) and Sophia (little screechy one) (128).
My IQ is compromised by my pain killers at the mo
I would have put Lisa much higher. So unless she was playing the system...

| Big Brother 10.....2009....... Posted: 6/12/2009 3:19:35 AM | Saffia the woman with the 7 month old baby walked out of the BB house yesterday saying that she missed her children too much and was fed up with all the arguments going on
She shouldnt have gone in there in the first place or been picked by BB as a housemate
So tonight is the first eviction then.......The little lady with the loud voice is the bookies fav to get the boot.
|
| Big Brother 10.....2009....... Posted: 6/12/2009 5:50:11 AM | | I want Sophia to go Hams, although others are saying she shouldn't because she could have added some drama to the programme! Helloooo?? What are the soaps for?? Halfwit should stay because although he bugs me with his singing, he's pretty sweet and I wouldn't have got mad at him for being nice and making dinner, it was a mistake for him not to ask if anyone else wanted Salad but it was still a nice gesture! | |

Saffia the woman with the 7 month old baby walked out of the BB house yesterday damn I missed that it hasn't been shown yet. Yes gobby sophie should go, but with saffia gone maybe the public will want to see if shes ****y with everyone?
Lets hope if she is evicted she wont squeal like a pig this time.

| Big Brother 10.....2009....... Posted: 6/12/2009 11:08:46 AM | I haven't watched BB for years but thought I'd give it a go this year , as I'm a bit of a people watcher.
Its usually your " Jo average " who wins it , although there aren't really any contestants who fit that description. Possibly Marcus , but I can't see him winning it. Maybe nice guy " Rodriguez " will take the title. Time will tell , as always.
I hope the poisoned pixie gets booted tonight as she's extremely annoying and argumentative. I quite like " Half Wit " plus it makes me titter everytime his names mentioned. I would like to see Shree banished ASAP as he gets right on my t*ts and is so pretentious.

| Big Brother 10.....2009....... Posted: 6/13/2009 1:49:18 AM | I like halfwit, he should be put on a singing ban though as when he does, i have to hide behind a cushion as it makes me cringe.. Like dogface. Charlie i did like but thinking he's a bit of a stirrer and two faced so going off him. sree (or whatever his name is)-cant stand-reminds me of an attention seeking 2 year old. Carli-dont like..dont know why? gut feeling i think. Saff i liked, but id never dream of leaving my baby for that long so glad she's gone. High pitched screaming gnome? so glad she's gone as everytime i saw or heard her i wanted to impail something into her head Lisa i love (plutonicaly) and would like her to win. Angel-did like till the raw egg thing, now she scares me. Kind of reminds me of edward scissor hands? hairy faced man who looks like a warewolf with a dirty vest (forgot his name), hmm not sure about him.. the two lovers who wash each others hairs..cairo and somit?? anyway dont like-both irritate me. Like Irish girl. Not sure about curly hair guy. is that everyone??
BB is fun and it makes me realise how normal i am

| Big Brother 10.....2009....... Posted: 6/13/2009 2:03:51 AM | Loved Big Mouth last night, Saffia and Sophia both at each other's throats. For a poisoned dwarf, Sophia doesn't take it from anyone, I particularly enjoyed her pointing out that Saffia doesn't get her moment in the sun because "You're a quitter". As usual, I voted out someone I disliked and then watched their interview thinking "oh, not that bad really."
Saffia - was ousted from Chris's bed by Dog-Face and was no longer Alpha female. That's why she left, it had feck all to do with missing her babies. If she cared that much about them, she wouldn't have applied in the first place. How old was her 7 month old when she actually made the application? Crocodile tears, I think. Didn't like her from the word go though so glad she walked. Thought it hilarious that she also turned to Sophia and blamed her for ruining her time in the house. Considering she quit after the nominations were made and left before evictions, it just makes it look more obvious that she left because Chris wasn't interested.
