Many have been wrongly convicted of child porn etc (operation ore - google it)

until your last post I actually had some empathy for your position
during the witch hunts all they needed was that someone be accused and they were ready to execute them .... no no one had to do it and harassment is always wrong ..if you do post his name im sure you are breaking the law ...you may well be any way ...and POF knows that banning him would be discriminating ...
I counted ...personally I know 13 people on the sex offenders registry and all 13 of them managed to get on it from some bull shit charge ...or doing something stupid ...prosecutors make points when they register someone on the list ...of everyone I gets branded a sex offender for life who is on the list no one is an actual pedophile or rapist ...the biggest reason the people I know are on the list is turning 18 and still having sex with their underage girl friend...followed by indecent exposure ...do you have any idea how many young guys are on the list for simply mooning someone ... sexual abuse almost never comes to trial ...Why?? because the prosecutors will tell the defendant that he stands no chance and his name will be drug through the mud and the jury will believe the accuser because they are women or children ...and if they do plea inocent the jury will give them the max sentence...which is all true ...so the guy cops a plea and I will bet that truth be known that over 50% on the list are innocent ....the whole premises of the list is a witch hunt ... my solution ..stop all this crooked plea bargaining and make all sex crimes go to trial ...then if they are convected by all means persecute them for all their life ...
I also know one guy ...who was dating a woman ..and was accused of sexual abuse on her teenage daughter ...he was offered a plea bargain which included being put on the list ...he refused ...he went to trial ...and was acquitted...it was found that the same teenage girl had accused 5 other guys all her mothers ex boy friends ...as well as her birth father ..and that this girl was a habitual liar ...and had made accusations toward other men including her principal and teachers ...it turns out that this girl had accused every guy she came in contact with of fondling her and trying to rape her ...and she was still a virgin ...but still with her history ..her mother and the prosecutors believed her every time and had actually charged 4 guys with sex crimes because of her accusations
actually he did not violate the terms of POF ...YOU DID .... actually they should ban YOU ...not him...and you need to get a spell checker | |

wait till a person you know is railroaded .... into pleading guilty to a sex crime ..and put on the list ...someone you know is innocent
no one is getting defensive ...the sex offenders list is the most abused part of the criminal justice system ...it is good in theory ..but anything the government runs is abused
like I said I worked in the department of corrections and saw first hand how things work ..the innocent and down trodden get convected and persecuted ...while the guilty and perverted know how to play the system and get off almost every time ....
did you know that prosecutors...actually keep score and brag about how many people they have listed as sex offenders ...guilt or innocence aside
Im not defending sex offenders ...guilty ones any way ...mothers be careful and defensive there are a lot more perverts that are not listed sex offenders ...but also there are a lot of registered sex offenders that are not perverts or pedophiles ...they just didnt get a fair shake in a perverted legal system
in my time in law enforcement I saw so much crime that it made me sick and made me eventually quit ...and most of it was being perpetrated by the ones sworn to uphold the law ..its not whether you break the law ..its which side of the badge you stand on
I am an ex police officer .. that is a list that to me ..bears more disgrace than being on a sex offenders list 90 % of legal officials are perverts or crooked or on a power ego trip that makes them dangerous | |

The police here in the UK have targets to meet, they are also talking about having to get rape convictions UP, so a new law has been introduced, if a man and woman have sex, and the woman is too drunk to remember (regardless of the mans state) the man will be arrested and charged for rape. I met a guy who was the victim of a rape allegation, even tho there was absolutly no evidence other than a drunk woman crying rape when he rejected her advances, CCTV inside the bar where the apparent rape took place, cops had him locked up over night without even bothering to examin the cctv.
There are websites dedicated to men who have found themselves wrongfully accused, a quick google search will show.

Says the man exposing his baby on a sex chat forum. I agree with VioletSky, the ICK factor is way too high when I see people discussing sex and such while exposing their children to God knows what on the internet. It's not appropriate.
I agree with zardoz451. sex offender or not. they still have rights. here's the bad thing. they did a study here about 10 years ago. they used people on death row. and some sex offenders. they came out with a medication to treat them with.. and the whole program died. and I haven't heard a word about it since. they were also using the medication on homosexuals.. and what ever the mental illness was. the medication would stop it cold.. and the people that were in the program. were confessing they had no idea that they had a mental problem.. it was just normal to them.. after the program ended. many sex offenders wanted to be castrated. and the autorities won't grant that. so in a way it's the autorities fault along with the us govornments fault that they allow pedifiles and sex offenders live like they do.....

OP - just playing devils advocate... how do we know the guy you are targetting isnt your ex who you are mad at? And you feel like trying to ruin his life because he 'wronged' you in some way?
He wouldn't be on the registry if he was completely innocent. Everyone knows what statutory rape is and even if it is consensual you are still aware that you are breaking a law and you are taking your chances.

No we cannot be protected from everything but there's nothing wrong with having as much information and making an informed choice. She's only offering his name to concerned women. She's not posting it here in the forums for everyone to see.
There are plenty of good men available who aren't on a sex offender registry to choose from so why bother with one that is?
Parents should (MUST!) be extra vigilent about who meets or spends time with their kids.
You'd be surprised but that vigilance doesn't always work.
Do you think that just because you are related to people that they are going to tell you about their perverted predilections?

Posted: 6/9/2009 2:38:05 PM | when i typed in my zip code -i was shocked on how many flags popped up in my neighborhood, -then reading the discriptions of why they were on the list (large number were teens caught having sex with their comperable same aged girlfriends, others using poor judgement or involved nudity in public) the lists are so big -even law enforcement agrees they cant even track them all. -there is a big difference between being naughty and purely evil...
we need to concentrate on the really bad apples -the high level serious and repete offenders.
however since prisons are a big business here in the U.S. -how long before you get locked up for a wardrobe malfunction or peeing in the bushes? | |

swt16, you did the right thing. I would take it one step further by printing a copy of his profile and taking it to law enforcement.
It's a shame there isn't a law that requires every male to be put through a background check before he is allowed to date. Although it has never happened to me, I have way too many female friends who have been molested by stepdads to a degree that makes me think it's a sick epidemic.

I'm not defending sex affenders at all. I was raised in law enfforcement. I know how cops are exactly. and what kind of lies they pull to get a conviction. and then they brag about it. like they are doing the right thing... one thing a cop does. they never just put one charge on a suspect. it's more like 2 or 3 extra charges. that the suspect never did. it's called a fail safe method. they know that the main charge will not get a conviction. so they place 3 lesser charges. when the main charge fails. they have 2 more to convict on. and this is how plea agreements happen. it never happens to a rich or famous person. that would look really bad in the media... so it's the poor people who can't afford to fight it. that's why they end up convicted of something they didn't do... That's why i have a lawyer and belong to the o.o.i.d.a. cops will try anything... falseify reports,tickets and anything else they can get away with... and I very rarely! ???? I do mean very rarely meet an honest cop. the best thing i can tell anybody. when you get stopped or have a runin with the cops. don't say anything at all to them.. they will try to... and if they do try to get you to talk to them. plead the 5th admendment. or state clearly. "this is my opinion" that is all I can suggest.. | |

For example, I don't think it makes sense to put a 19 year old guy on a sex offender registry, if his girlfriend happens to be 17 and they are intimate with each other. The law needs to employ some common sense. They need to make sure they go after the guys who are truly sexual predators.
However, I'm sure there is a percentage of sexual predators on here, as on all dating sites. If you found him on a registry, I probably would have reported him to POF too. But, after reading some of the other posts in this thread, you do have to wonder how many guys have been falsely accused, or been put on a registry because of an honest mistake, etc. I had a guy friend who was falsely accused of rape, and it nearly ruined his life. Mistakes like this can literally destroy someone. Once an innocent guy is even remotely linked with stuff like this, it can be incredibly hard to clear his name.
That's the problem with sex offender registries. They are needed, but they aren't always accurate. | |

It is in no way a violation to say John Doe is a registered sex offender, rather that means for a sexual crime, or public urintation is not for us to say, someone would have pulled a file on him by now and aired it in the forum for all of us to see the truth. Those individuals that are standing up for him, saying he has rights, yes, if he took a leak in public, and got caught, then he is fine. If he did anything that was unbecoming of himself to a child, his balls need chopped off and he needs to not be on a dating site. POF monitores the forums unless I am mistaken, they do not want to get in a legal argument over a registered offender, it really shows how much they care for thier members, this site exists to fulfill in most cases sex starved and attention starved people's voids with hopes. Those that are simply on here to find a significant other, then I appoligize for being so harsh, the scarier thought to all this is that the registry just exists for those who are caught, imagine all the bad things that people think, even without action are just as bad. What I do see is a lack of action on anyone's part, myself included, air the chomo out and lets flame him, if you are standing up for him, you probably are on the registry or belong on it. | |

That's the problem with sex offender registries. They are needed, but they aren't always accurate
the age limit law is different in every state. I do know that a person at the age of 16. can have a sexual partner up to 23 years of age.. and that is legal.. It depends on the make up of the 19 year old persons personality. or maybe the under age person wanted to get even with the 19 year old person.. it's really hard to say how they got there... how many guys get put on a sex offender list is very simple. I knew a guy that was a retired truck driver. his grand daughter want him to by something for her. and he wouldn't. so she cried rape to the cops and her mother and step father. it took about a year. but the charges were dropped. because they found out she was lieing. the point. alot 90% of all girls have had sex by the age of 14. un protected sex. the sperm is still in her. and like the story above. the cops don't test the sperm found in the girl with the rape kit. to confirm that the dna is the guy being accused. they find the sperm and some pubic hairs that are not the girls.. and convict based on that... they never test the samples from the rape kit. they don't need dna proof linking the guy to the girl sexually.. they have what they need. and they don't need to test it... 9 times out of 10 judges cops and prosecuters side with the woman in a rape case... woman gets mad at guy. cries rape. rape kit is done. proof is found. guy gets convicted wrongfully... it's just how it goes. so that is something alot of guys keep clearly in mind when dating a woman. and alot of times why most guys leave. is over this issue.. things are going bad. and the woman starts acting strange. so he ends it before the worst happens.. alot of guys won't tell you this. but it's something kept deep in mans mind..

ive met him and he wont tell you he is i just happened to find his pic there on the site.
ive reported his name to pof many times and hes still there doing his thing finding single girls with kids that dont know what he is. so it bothers me that if ones on here and wont be deleted then many more could be be so girls be weary of men from wichta . i wont put his name here but will be happy to tell you in a email
