Im isolated on the IOW which kinda limits things, that 10 min ferry seems more of a problem than an hour down the motorway....but hey ho it is what it is.
So from the Island members, ive hada lots of chats, several dates that neither have clicked together on, but it gives us all a chance to practice our people skills so its never wasted time.
Besides its only got to work the once and lead to something, and your whole perspective on the time spent here will change instantly!. | |

Dude that's not the spirit of this site.
When you think of all the girls you see every day and everywhere you go.
Take out the ones already in relationships, those not looking, lesbians, the blind, the daft, those out of your age range. How many left! Bet it runs into thousands per month, or even more. How many of them do you date?
Well it's no different here: statistically for the two people to gel is at best unlikely, at worsted improbable and having a negative attitude probably takes it to almost impossible.
So methinks you are being unrealistic with your expectations of this site.

Posted: 6/28/2009 3:25:24 AM | Much as I appreciate that some girls get dozens of messages a day and cant reply to them all I think that it would be polite to respond even if its just 'No thanks', if a guy has made an effort to send a quality message rather than just 'Hi babe'.
If a stranger smiled at you and said good morning to you as you were walking down the street, would you say hello back or just stick your nose in the air and ignore him.
Maybe the rules of good manners and politeness are just different in the cyber world | |

Posted: 6/28/2009 6:44:30 AM | This makes speed dating look deep, ha, been on 8 days had 4 dates, but its hard work, 90% is on the pic, smiler pix are much better, went contacting a HF, dont approach direct use humor or go "deep".
Its been a humbling experience, getting knock backs from women I would not even date in the real world 45 yr olds with 4 kids who think they're Farah Forssett in the prime cause they get 20 messages a day.
Dont let it wreck your head, only do 20 mins a day, sent a dozen messages, then forget about it.
If a female does not want to speek after 1 week of contact, blow her out unless shes an exception. | |

It's not about what you think would be polite, it's about what the other person thinks is appropriate.
Apart from running the risk of getting abusive messages in return, replying is seen as opening up the lines of communication - why would you do that with someone you do not want to communicate with...

Why are you adding to the 20 messages a day? Why should they be grateful that your lowering your standards? maybe they can tell that your not serious.

I don't understand why you would mail someone that you have no interest in. Seems a no brainer to me.

I swear I have had 4 dates off here, got another for Tue, dont know if I can be arsed, would do a thread on the best approaches, best responses, being original with HFs etc, best pix to post etc, but there seems to be a lot of people who seem to want to knock on here, ie the Dating thread I done. | |
